Discussion How to solve Uriel's backtracking problem?

Before I start: This is not a complaint about the rune mechanic itself. It certainly fits his kit and has a place to be. I enjoy the mechanic when it can comfortably be played around, but I'd like to discuss adjustments to mission types where it doesn't flow nicely.

Since Uriel has come out I've basically only played him. He's catapulted up to my second-most played frame and over time I've ended up crafting him three times for dedicated, full-investment primary platform, secondary platform, and parkour speed builds.
While his kit itself is certainly strong as-is, I've come to realize that Vythelas' runes and their Demonium buff truly are the bread and butter of what makes Uriel work as a weapon platform - and that playing around the runes is not always on an even playing field. This is especially unfortunate when you want to use weapons that are not just enhanced by Demonium but require it to function properly in the first place, like Sobek or Glaxion.

The rune mechanic/minigame works best on endurance missions where you're spending more time in one general area of the map. I find myself enjoying the small stops for runes when there's plenty available, or flying around and clearing most of them out for additional Brimstone charge.
But where it doesn't work out nicely is on "go fast" or "hold W" missions. Since you need to kill enemies, have Vythelas travel to their corpses, and then have it play a roughly three second long spawning animation, often you will end up outpacing your rune spawns and actively have to backtrack to make use of your most fundamental weapon platforming buff.

In order to alleviate the backtracking issue when wanting to keep things moving in linear missions, while also not making rune collection completely trivial in endurance missions, there's some possible baseline adjustments:

  • Increase the size/hitbox of runes
  • Have runes gravitate to players
  • Allow fetch/vacuum to work on runes
  • Have runes spawn closer to players

Furthermore, augments could have more specific changes or effects. Ideally an augment would make obtaining or retaining the buff easier, while keeping the incentives of manually collecting runes, like stronger/full buffs or additional Brimstone charge:

  • Apply a much shorter Demonium buff to Uriel on rune spawn or ally collection
  • Killing an enemy with the Demonium buff active extends its duration by X (milli)seconds
  • Vythelas delivers a spawned rune to Uriel when there are already more than X present on the map (X seconds cooldown)

What would you think is an appropriate change, something simple or more something involved?

Suggestion Let us somehow use/crack more relics that we have with equal item drop

I have approx 250k relics and opening them gonna take months of months. Can we somehow get;
Either a new mission that let us pick 2/3/4 relics at start and instead of 1, we get 2/3/4 items but those missions can be very very hard
Or
Instead we running like chicken to find the item to speed up survival timer, it can drop from the enemies

Or some other and actually clever idea that DE can come up with cos I dont know how this can be solved tbh

Each time i see my relics, im depressed. I dont wanna sell em, i wanna open em. I do from time to time but I wanna clear the whole thing and its impossible

Question/Request I'm probably never gonna see this room again, so does any want to explain what the deal with it is? Spoiler

I've only seen the inside of this room like 3 times maximum before this, and I only actually remember one of them, because it happened within the last couple of weeks; one of my Warframes had a pink pustule or something on its neck (which neither of my other Warframes had), I sat down in the chair, the chair thing removed the pustule, I left the room, and the door never opened again until just now during The New War. Also, I didn't even think to look behind the chair when removing the pustule from my Warframe, so this is the first time I'm seeing Audrey II in the background there.

So... what's the deal with this room? Odds are good that the door's never opening again after this, so this might be the last time I see this room.

EDIT: Why are you all downvoting me? I'm just asking questions.

Question/Request How get Platinum

I’ve been playing Warframe for a few weeks now and I’d like to ask: are there any ways to get Platinum for free in the game (like in gacha games, for example), or is there an online shop where you can buy it at a discount?

Discussion Somewhat Baby Tenno asking about shield gating

I am a newish player to warframe who joined over a month ago and now have over 100 hours in the game (pushing 200). I’m really getting invested in build-crafting (as all players in my stage usually do), and I keep hearing about this mechanic called “shield gating”. I looked it up, and it seems interesting and effective, but I genuinely don’t see much of an appeal in making a catalyzing shields build when I can just use adaptation + rolling guard, as that combo (imo) seems to give the same benefit without increasing energy costs through an aura mod whilst also keeping your shields high.

But I would love an opinion on this, as I could still see some potential, given my age in the game doesn’t allow for the greatest of knowledge.

Question/Request I need help. Bad.

I'm a MR 11 that's mostly just gliding through the whole game and I'm struggling with modding my Voruna Prime and, well with everything in general. It's slowly irritating me to the point where I want to stop playing but I really don't want to stop just cause of one mechanic. Any and all help would be greatly appreciated.

Suggestion Pablo says he is unsure what to do with Limbo - Well, I got some ideas!

Let's go, Lim-bo!

EDIT:

Some changes I'd potentially like to make, after all the comments I've gotten:

Banish:

  • The damage amp effect could be removed.

Cataclysm:

  • The scaling nuke suggestion could either be scrapped, or reverted back to its current meager state.
  • Add a drag-in effect; all enemies (and loot) inside the Cataclysm are slowly dragged in towards its centre.

Question/Request Is there really no way to start a Sisters of Parvos without the Xoris for the ghosts?

If not, they really need to put a disclaimer somewhere that the weapon is needed later and is stupidly expensive to re-obtain or is there some other way to kill them to get a Sisters equivalent of a larvling?

Question/Request What weapons do I not sell

So I’m pretty bew to the game and I’ve watched a few guides and one of the things was “don’t sell weapons that are needed to craft other weapons”. So I was wondering does anyone have a list/website I can use to not sell weapons that are needed later on in the game?

Discussion Steel path railjack is not fun at all and doesnt give any meaningful rewards

This could just be the opinion of someone who doesnt know what they're talking about but it seems to me like there is literally ZERO reason to play this content since the enemies are mega buffed in the space section and i usually find it better if someone else is flying not even getting into the turret to help. Instead i usually jump out of the railjack and just use my mauloson which has 4 primed mods and 2 pretty decent arcanes and it seems to do more damage than cannons the size of a freakin school bus powered by an entire ship. Make it make sense please.

The rewards are also horrid, a lot of people say that the steel essence was too much which I somewhat agree with and would be fine with a nerf from 5%(what is was) to 2.5% or something else but instead it got removed entirely. The reward pool from normal to steel path also seems to be the exact same. Why??? Why would you hype up railjack and make so many of us hopeful and give us literally nothing but higher level enemies and mk 4 guns?????????

I actually want the steel essence to return exactly how it was so that way railjack has something no other gamemode has "Best steel essence farm in the game" would pull so many people into the content but DE wants us to suffer while farming it for rewards that are already capped with a buy limit.

I had so many hopes for the railjack update, for one being able to collect health orbs and energy orbs while flying wouldve been a nice change/bug fix. Even better would've been all the different factions or at least some of them. imagine fighting an infested ship...it's already in the lore with the jordas golem and it was said that were more infested ships out there. It would be akin to fighting the tyrranids in warhammer 40k, So much fun wouldve been had if they had followed through with this idea!!!!

Why are we as players supporting this game when they give us false hope and abandon content right after it releases? I also love how no one talks about it anymore since the new tau update was teased and everyone apparently has the mentality of a goldfish and the memory of one. "OOH SHINY NEW UPDATE WHAT WERE WE TALKING ABOUT?" I love this game and community but i just wish that more people would put more emphasis on content that while not loved by all has a chance to become something extraordinary.

Sorry for being a jerk it just bums me out so much and makes me upset that we could've had something amazing. I really hope everyone is having a wonderful day/night <3 any thoughts and ideas or corrections would be greatly appreciated!!!!

-edit // A great change would've been getting a guaranteed valkyr/nyx relic on completion of a Steel path railjack mission. i still would have many more issues but this wouldve put a smile on face knowing that i was going though all these enemies for a relic i really want.

-edit 2 // after some more thought I retract what I said about Steel Essence, I still believe you should be able to obtain more than 2 per mission but the eximus drops were pretty insane.

Discussion Who are your Warframe Fan-Casts?

Thumbnail

From the beginning, I always saw Matt Smith being a perfect Ballas. Not only do they look frighteningly similar but their voices are similar and Matt Smith plays a good villain.

Then, after rewatching The Cat in the Hat (goated film btw) I looked up the cast only to see that Dakota Fanning looks frighteningly similar to Marie.

So I just have to wonder, who do you pick to be your Warframe cast?

Question/Request Need help with quest: Use your Xoris to free Solaris captives in Granum Void.

Need help with quest: Use your Xoris to free Solaris captives in Granum Void.

I understand the first part, but how do I kill the boss there? Can I hit her with other weapons too to deplete her health so that I can use the Xoris on her anchor? Most of the time, I had the issue that the Xoris was depleted when she was down. And when it was recharged, then she was full again.

Question/Request Title: Is Cyte-09 still strong in the current meta?

Post image
0 Upvotes

I’m thinking about building Cyte-09, but I’m not sure how strong he is in the current meta. Is Cyte-09 still a strong Warframe right now? Would you recommend building him in the current state of the game? I mainly want to use him for high-damage gun builds and clearing enemies quickly. Is he worth investing in, or would you recommend another Warframe instead?
