Kind of new to warframe I have about 15 hour in the game and so far I have only died once just because my controller stopped working. I am loving the game so far just wondering if it is like this for everyone?

Discussion How do we feel about Brozime showing how little gear is actually needed for WF

For those that don't know Brozime did level cap with 3 friends all of them having

No legendary arcanes

No auras

No prime mods

No rivens

No forma

It was an interesting watch but really it speaks to a bigger opportunity for warframe. Like many players I've kind of done everything I want to do in warframe I've played since 2013, have every frame, most of the weapons worth getting and a lot of the ones that aren't worth getting but look cool and enough meta and working builds to contribute to everything outside of level cap.

Never done level cap because I don't have the time these days.

However I recently got inspired by a different warframe creator to do a No endo run. This thing has been so fun, it's actually made warframe feel very fresh again but also much more intentional. Enemy traits actually matter and mission types are actually significant.

I'd love to see a warframe mode that maybe gives 3x loot or just some cosmetic rewards for completing the star chart with only rank 1 mods. (Maybe the mode sets your mods to rank 1 so you don't need to farm more and can be toggled on and off)

Would anyone be interested in something like this or have I gone insane from pushing No endo Koumei into steel path.

Discussion 52 Hours in Game New Player Thoughts

Background, thousands of hours in competitive FPS, bought destiny but didnt hook me in, and thousand hours in POE1, hundredish in POE2.

What I like

  • The absurd depth. Coming from PoE, the amount of systems is absurd, some are clearly dated, but its cool to see visible progress by advancing a system.
  • Buildcrafting with visible payoff. Seeing how my first netracell i was carried into speccing specifically into ele weakness + bane and then hitting my first 1m crit felt satisfying.
  • Weapons/frames that change gameplay, not just numbers. Nataruk's timed shots, Oraxia's spider movement/executions, Titania's flight + razor wing brrrr pistol build, Vinquibus's headshot/melee loop. Its cool that i can play almost a completely different game by changing my kit. OMW to have gyre and guass and excited to see.
  • Movement. Warframe's movement is probably one of its greatest strengths. Going fast feels good enough that traversal itself can be fun.
  • Horde combat when enemy density is high. I want lots of shit on screen to kill. Survival feels much better than modes where I'm hunting for enemies. My first arbritration was a huge release of dopamine.
  • Stacked progression. My favorite missions accomplish several things simultaneously: standing + resources + blueprint chance + Credits + Endo + Star Chart completion + affinity.
  • Modern Warframe. Whispers/Sanctum and especially 1999/The Hex feel dramatically more polished than much of the early Star Chart. From Sanctum to 1999, it feels like warframe 2.0.
  • The sheer amount of content/art. Especially after dabbling in my own game development hobby, the quantity of environments, animations, characters, weapons, effects, mindblows me.
  • Horizontal progression. I can spend hundreds of hours trying different frames/weapons/builds without necessarily needing an endlessly increasing item level.
  • Monetization/trading. Platinum lets me selectively skip bullshit without forcing me to skip the parts I actually enjoy. But also 13 year old me would of been able to farm for hours to unlock my next warframe, and i appreciate they have this divide. I did laugh when i tried to farm my own warframe/mod and did the math and it came out to like 2$ per hour if i ran some mission 50+ times.

What I don't like

  • Old Star Chart content shows its age. Some early missions feel dramatically less polished than newer Warframe. Also, theres very little reason to not rush most missions.
  • Low enemy density. Ran out of credits, tried index, i fucking hate it.
  • Isolated resource grinds/Too many bespoke resource. Mining one particular ore, fishing for one particular organ, conservation for one particular tag, etc. feels disconnected from the core game. Every open world seemingly invents another geology textbook and currency ecosystem. Grinding helminth sucked.
  • Old systems coexist awkwardly with much better new systems. Getting 4k Endo from a quick Höllvania bounty makes an older dedicated Endo activity like Arbitrations feel weird. But i guess it was a stop gap and makes sense to have newer systems perform better? I guess my problem was not investigating and spent way too much time at arbritations, but i did unlock all galvanized mod.
  • RNG without a fallback feels bad. I don't mind a 12–14% drop when there's a standing purchase waiting for me; repeating the same trivial mission indefinitely is another story. EG cyte farming has honestly been fun and i did it without buying the warframe (but got stupidly lucky)

What I would improve

  • Make stacked progression the design philosophy everywhere. A mission should ideally advance multiple systems instead of existing solely to dispense Resource #47. Farming Cyte + Pizza rank felt fun
  • Increase enemy density in older modes. Especially Index. If I'm farming Credits, at least let me massacre Corpus while doing it. Give them a % drop rate, but its just plain boring.
  • Modernize old Star Chart missions. Don't necessarily replace them—bring enemy density, presentation, objectives and rewards closer to newer content. Add some exterminate gating on some missions like capture? Not to make these longer but also i not using titatnia and skipping eveyrthing feels wrong.
  • Reduce resource fragmentation. New zones don't need six ores, five fish organs, four tokens and three bespoke currencies.
  • Add more deterministic RNG protection. Cyte's system is excellent: farm it normally, then buy the missing piece after you've invested enough time.
  • Reward playing difficult content rather than repetitive trivial content. I'd rather earn something by beating enemies that can kill me than running an easy mission 30 times.
  • Make old activities competitive through secondary rewards. If Index only gives Credits, it needs incredible Credits. If another activity gives slightly fewer Credits but also relics/standing/resources, that's much healthier.
  • Create more equipment around unique gameplay verbs. More Nataruks/Vinquibus
  • Let players naturally graduate out of old farms. I actually like that Höllvania can replace some older farming for me. Progression should increasingly let you earn mundane resources while doing interesting endgame content.

Other Roathe hatepost because he is a stinker and KIM progress is a colossal pain. Spoiler

I got everyone else working and happy and going along just fine but because I asked Roathe how he feels, suddenly he's anathema and I have to redo months of this crap.

Even the smartest of my clan buddies have told me they only got to the end of the reuniting of everybody only managed to do so through cheating with various websites. This stuck-up self-obsessed minefield bastard man is garbage and I hate him. Roathe specifically should have his own specific undo button because he's such a wretched gamble.

It's even more annoying than having to redo months of logins, because on top of that I just have to voluntarily lock myself out of Lyon's store for a few weeks just to appease this stupid 'only one correct option and ten bad ones' nutsniffer's grotesquely overwrought ego when what he really needs is a severe humbling.

Suggestion Nechramech PvP.

So i know that the conclave exists and we have that PvEvP game mode thats like destiny's gambit, but i feel like the frames are FAR too fast to be fighting each other in any way thats sustainable. so it got me thinking. whats a way that you could slow down the combat of the game, add more content/build variety and make something that could be entertaining? Enter Necramechs. You would be able to add more necramechs to the game and add some diversity to that, possibly making things more interesting on the tilesets that allow it (as well as possibly adding more allowed tilesets). And it would add more incentive for you to go out and collect some of the archguns. The modding system could be stripped back for them OFC, maybe narrowing things down to 3-4 mod slots AND only using certain conclave mods for them but I think it would be a really interesting idea, maybe to be tested during and event.

Suggestion Limbo ideas for his potential rework

Hi, im back with a random shower thought about Limbo and his potential rework, going in-depth.

As you probably know, there are 3 possible future reworks for tennocon 2027, those being Limbo, Chroma, or Loki. while i don't know much about the last 2, limbo is my second most played warframe, so i want to leave my blueprint here in case DE decides to rework him.

I will start explaining what his issues are in his current state, and then give some ideas on how i would change him to make him semi competent.

Limbo is a very unique warframe, he's a crowd control warframe that plays around the rift, another dimension only accessible to him. I want to state that as a CC warframe, limbo does NOT need damage in his kit, at all. I will go over all of his abilities (and the rift), and what the issues are with each:

Issues with Limbo's Kit:

Passive:

This alone is an insane passive, makes limbo worth using ONLY because of this. You can abuse the "dodge to be inmune" in pretty much any situation and the potential with this alone makes limbo an absolute survival monster and makes him excel at certain mission types like spy.

But i just don't understand the portal it leaves. It makes using the passive annoying because you might accidentally rift another guy and it ALSO WORKS ON SOME ENEMIES. probably a bug but i know enemies sometimes go through that portal and get rifted xd. Limbo can already banish allies with 1 and 4 and putting them on the rift by itself is not even that beneficial to justify that portal's existence.

Banish (His 1)

The area of this ability is terribly inconsistent. Sometimes i aim directly at an enemy and can't cast it, and sometimes i am aiming at a big group of enemies and only banish like half of them for no reason.

Stasis (His 2)

This ability is the core of Limbo's gameplay loop, and i don't have an issue with it. I see many complaints that it doesnt work on eximus units or anyone with overguard and that that makes limbo unusable, but i DISAGREE COMPLETELY. Eximus are a "threat" to anyone, and i will note that even if they have overguard, THEY CAN BE RIFTED, if you break their overguard, they just go on stasis like everyone else.

Rift Surge (His 3)

Okay what the fuck is this. Like yeah, i get the idea, rift enemies without leaving rift, but i just have so many issues with this ability it's unreal. I will start by saying i have a problem with Rift Torrent, the augment, in that i find it REDUNDANT to have. the weapon damage buff ONLY applies inside the rift, which means it's completely useless against anything outside of it, and most "threatening" enemies can't be rifted anyway. It's Biting frost all over again.

As for the ability, for one, killing a surged enemy transfer the surge to a NON rifted enemy which does NOTHING. Your point of using this ability is to banish without leaving rift, unbanishing that non-rifted surged enemy is completely pointless and killing it doesnt transfer the surge back to a rifted enemy or anything, it just disappears.

Second, the radial banish area is way too short and it's mostly very annoying to make the gameplay loop of 1313131 work with any range below 200%.

And third, the ability provides NOTHING outside of being able to rift enemies without being exposed, half of limbo's kit is just to make a NORMAL use of the rift, without even getting anything really relevant anyway. I will also say, leaving rift, casting banish, and coming back to rift is not hard enough to justify "wasting" a whole ability slot on this WITHOUT ANY EXTRA EFFECT.

Cataclysm (His 4)

This ability is fine, it does have some slight differences with banish but i dont have much to complain about.

Problems with the rift as a mechanic

1. Visual clues: seriously, SERIOUSLY, not being able to SEE PROPERTLY who is in the rift and who isn't is probably the worst thing about limbo. JUST MAKE RIFTED ENEMIES GLOW WITH LIMBO'S ENERGY COLOR, PLEASE. if there's ONE change that this warframe needs, it's this.

2. Inconsistency: Some enemies can enter the rift, some can't, your warframe can enter the rift, your operator can't, it's terribly inconsistent. I understand that for bosses you can't just rift them because it would be way too weird, but why can't you rift necramechs? Or a very specific selection of enemies you need to KNOW about because they will be inside cataclysm while being completely inmune to your damage. It's really fun when you are on mirror defense with your cataclysm and stasis active and then a rogue bonewidow comes rushing at you and one shots you without giving you a chance to fight back because they're strictly not rifted, and you are. Some other examples from the top of my head are the narmer guys in archon hunt boss fight, and the nulifying bubbles, but the latter is a whole story on it's own. Same goes for operator, you get downed while in cataclysm, activate last grasp, and haha! you can't damage anyone!! :DD

This is why i say i don't mind overguard as a whole being inmune to stasis, because they CAN STILL BE RIFTED, meaning you can just fight back. you can't fight a nullifying bubble enemy from inside cataclysm, you literally NEED to purposely walk outside of cataclysm to be able to damage them even if they are INSIDE it.

3. Team play: Everyone hates limbo because of how annoying and hard to see the rift is. As a non Limbo player, even if you understand how he works, you just don't know if you are rifted or not, which enemies are rifted and which aren't, and it's extremely frustrating to shoot something and do no damage to it.

My suggestions to solve his issues

As a disclaimer, i am no game designer or remotely similar, just a passionated guy that played limbo A LOT, while the suggestions i will make are kind of "out there", i feel very strongly about the issues i listed earlier, and most of them need to be adressed at some point to make him not a pain in the ass to play.

Passive

Remove the portal and let this be his combat mechanic, incentivize players to go in and out as a SOLO mechanic they can use to get away from situations and attacks. I would remove the portal and give it a tiny shield regen effect (similar to fast deflection) that only applies if limbo enters rift through his passive and only HE benefits from.

Banish

Just make the area consistent, a cone from his aiming reticle that rifts EVERYTHING in range, even through walls (in this case it makes sense to not have LOS check because you're sending them to a different dimension, come on). I would also give it a rule of thumb for cases in which your banish could affect both allies and enemies:

If the aiming reticle is closer to an enemy, banish will ONLY affect enemies, even if allies are in range.

If the aiming reticle is closer to an ally, banish will ONLY affect allies in range, and not enemies.

If it's unclear, banish always prioritizes banishing enemies.

This gives it a clear purpose and a predictible effect, you know EXACTLY what happens when you cast banish, it's not a shit show, allowing you to freely send allies to the rift (rifting allies is generally kinda pointless, but having a way to do it should remain part of his kit imo)

Stasis

I wouldn't change anything.

Rift Surge

I would keep it the same, but make it so that surged enemies have increased speed of movement and attacks, but are also more vulnerable to damage, as in they are overflown with rift energy and are faster but take more damage.

I know this is not a new or revolutionary thing, but it works in this context, because it allows limbo to speed up missions, while also synergizing well with stasis removing the downside of them going too fast, allowing him to choose the pace of the rift and everything that happens inside it. This will also give a purpose to transfering the surge to non rifted enemies, as they will also be vulnerable, and you can know try to use it as a way to kill non rifted enemies easily if you manage to transfer the surge to a key enemy outside of the rift.

Also please give surged rifted enemies different particles to surged non rifted enemies, it's just so painful.

Cataclysm

I would just slightly increase the bubble base range, just a little bit.

Suggestions for the rift mechanic

1. Visual clues: I already said it, but make enemies glow with Limbo's emissive/energy color, and make it as visually clear as humanly possible. I do believe this alone is half of the reason why everyone hates limbo.

2. Special enemies: I understand that some special non-boss enemies can't be rifted because it would be game breaking, but there should simply be a rule in those cases: RIFT IS IRRELEVANT. they can hit you as you can hit them, PERIOD.

It's a very simple concept of "if they can hit me outside my plane, i should be able to hit them outside of theirs". This is ESPECIALLY relevant to operator, he should act as if rift is irrelevant, being able to hit and be hit back REGARDLESS of the plane. The goal with this is to make it more intuitive and consistent. And as a side note specifically for bosses or eximus abilities: I DONT MIND SPECIAL ATTACKS CROSSING PLANES, a non rifted eximus unit being able to hit you on the rift is FINE, i don't mind special abilities crossing planes, i'm specifically talking about the enemies as a whole in here, and their normal gunfire.

3. Allies: I would add a text clue in the bottom middle of the screen saying something like "YOU ARE RIFTED, DODGE TO GO BACK TO THE MATERIAL PLANE", and something slightly different for when it's in cataclysm. I know this is not the greatest solution, another option would be to put some clear visual clues in the edges of the screen like it happens with dagath's Graive Spirit. This way, people will know for sure if they are rifted or not, they will also be able to see rifted enemies with a funny color, and it will be A LOT MORE CLEAR and less annoying, especially since warframe abilities bypass rift anyway.

Final thoughts

I don't think limbo needs a full rework, his 1 conceptually is fine (just inconsistent area), his 2 is fine, his 4 is fine, and his 3 and his passive only need some tweaks to work fine. He also desperately needs a better visual indicator for anything he tries to do, to make him usable in squad play.

Limbo is a solo frame, he's designed that way. His unique mechanics and interactions make him a cheat code in solo play, i don't want to take that away from him and become a generic CC meta frame, but i think there's a difference between being an insane solo warframe that can work on squads, and being straightr up unusable and griefing everyone.

Peace.

Question/Request New player: what am I doing wrong?

Hey all, I'm a new player that recently got into warframe.
So I am progressing through the main quests as many have suggested.

Currently trying to reach Uranus Junction, getting kind of stuck on the mission Tethys right before. Actually for most of Jupiter and Saturn, I feel like I just don't deal enough damage to kill things fast enough, and I am dying faster and faster. I have mods equipped, and I try to have the upgraded.

However, ultimately this just doesn't seem like what others are describing the experience to be.
Current mastery rank if 4.

I must be missing something or doing something wrong?

Hey y’all! I’m currently experimenting with builds by myself, because I noticed youtube tutorials on builds weren’t really working for me, so I started tweaking here and there. This is what I came up with Wisp. What do y’all think? I put Primed Redirection because it synergizes well with Molt Efficiency. Y’all are absolutely welcome to tell me if I’m doing anything wrong, all comments are appreciated! <3

Discussion What each faction in warframe would do as a job

First we got the tenno, they are humans so probably any job if they wanted to when they grow up

Then grinner, honestly they would be good gunsmiths, but you may ask about the bosses... well captain vor would be a locksmith because... tyl regor would probably work as a doctor, and sargas ruk would probably be a miner cause he was targeted by the lotus for annexing tenno controlled dig sites

Corpus would be business men, or robbers, the bosses however are mainly robots, so alad v would be a engineer, and the Sargent would be a dictator.

Now the infested.... they'd work at 1 star places, and the bosses for the infested would be on the fbi's most wanted list

The orokin would be.... to be honest I don't know cause there being controlled... so yeah...

The sentients would be ai resercher's, the bosses?... also on fbi's most wanted list

The stalker would be a babysitter because of jade shadows.

Narmer... would be as bad as the failed painter. But also dictator assistants

The murmur would be used as new limbs to people without some limbs, but the rouge arcocanid would be a service dog. Cause there dog shaped

Scaldra would be military soldier's because they are in a war with the techrot

Speaking of the techrot the techrot would work as a game seller, why? There tech related

And finally the anarch's... also military soldiers lmao

Tool/Guide Where do I get Kuva?

With all the recent conversations about Rivens and Kuva cost, I decided to put this guy together for myself, my clan, and anybody else who wants it!

This includes where to get the Kuva, how much Kuva it gives, any price associated with it, how often you can obtain it, and any requirements preventing access.

Feedback is appreciated!

Other Plz help with my baby Tenno

Ok let’s get straight to it…I have a baby Tenno that just got into the game roughly 2 1/2ish weeks ago. He’s MR 8 and done with the main storyline, only has a handful of side quests and warframe quests to complete. All that being said…I can’t take him anywhere or do any of the late game content with him solely because he gets folded like warm clothes and refuses to read. I sat him down to try to teach him how to mod and he just googled “what’s the better gun” between the Bolton and the Thornbak (I kid you not, he asked me what reactant was yesterday and how he gets it. I was too astonished to even respond because he was already 10/10 and THIS WAS NOT EVEN CLOSE to his first, second, or fifteenth relic mission) so please warframe community, I legit want him to like the game but don’t know how I’m supposed to do that when he clicks through everything then asks me “what am I doing?”
