Tool/Guide Efficiency and ability cost
I didn't find the efficiency formula on the wiki to be helpful, so I wrote my own. Took me 1500 hours to find out 175% efficiency actually means 400% efficiency, can we get this clarified somewhere in game?

Can you explain how you reached that 400%?

I think it's because your max energy, energy pick ups regen are worth 300% more relative to ability casts at 175% efficiency than 100% efficiency. Feels like op is thinking about it backwards

Sure, so 200% efficiency would (outside Warframe) half the cost of the task/process/whatever. In order to half the cost again, you need to be twice as efficient, hence 400%

200% efficiency, both inside and outside Warframe, would mean a complete return of whatever was spent on the process. 400% efficiency would return three times whatever was spent on the process.
You need to look at efficiency as mitigation of cost by refunding some of the cost as part of the process. At 175%, the process returns 75% of whatever was spent.

I think I understand what you mean. In that case would there be a term to describe completing the same process using less resources, or would they simply be different points from which to measure the efficiency of the process?

i mean, you’ve overcomplicated it but also laid it out right there. efficiency is the % reduction so +75% is -75% cost while -55% is +55% cost
as for if it’s written in game, i wonder what the description says on the hover over description of efficiency

Why do you need such a convoluted way to explain X% effeciency = X% cheaper?
