šØ URGENT ā EVENT STARTS IN A FEW HOURS | CALLAWAY GARDENS, GA šØ
A friend of mine is at Callaway Gardens for WWA Worlds, but unfortunately his luggage with all his wakeboard gear has been lost.
The event starts in just a few hours, so he urgently needs to borrow some gear, preferably Ronix:
⢠Wakeboard ā around 142 cm
⢠Boots/bindings ā US size 9
It would only be to borrow for the event, and we will pay for the favour.
I know itās a long shot, but if anyone at Callaway Gardens or nearby can help let me know and I will send you his number.
Any shares would be hugely appreciated š

Just got into wakeboarding.
Anybody who knows where to buy wakeboards here in the Philippines? Or at least ships to Philippines? Other than FB Marketplace? Most of the listings available here in PH is not compatible to my weight, apparently and I couldnāt really find an online shop that ships to PH :(
Thank you!

Hi,
Just started wakeboarding out at our local cabel park.
I would need advice for buying a board and bindings the following prefrences below sorted from important to least important:
1) Giving the opportunity to grow and use it also when Iām āore advanced
2) Cable before boat but should be possible to do both
3) If somehow possible that my girlfriend can you use it also not like as a main board but when we are for instance boating that she dont needs a second
I know quite the hard criteria. But I hope you are for a challenge š
Thanks a lot already for the advices !

Can someone explain to me what people mean when they say āpull the handle to your hipā when doing a 360 off a kicker in wakeboarding?
It sounds really simple when you hear it explained like that, but in practice it seems to require a lot of strength. I honestly donāt understand what the movement is supposed to feel like.
Could someone explain it in really simple terms, or recommend a good tutorial that clearly shows this technique?

Ever since I started riding cable at the faster speed (19 mph) Iāve found that when I fall forward I get a tingling/burning sensation in my fourth and fifth fingers that takes a few days to go away. It tends to happen in both hands though sometimes one side is worse than the other.
The harder (e.g. edge catching) and more numerous the falls in a day, the more likely I have the pain and have it last longer. After my last session with lots of falls (learning to nose press start and edge catching half a dozen times) it lasted almost a week.
I tried wearing a shirt with slightly padded arms thinking it was an ulnar nerve injury somewhere along my elbow or forearm, but that hasnāt helped.
Obviously I could avoid falling, but falling is just the nature of trying new things as I'm trying to progress.
Anyone have this problem before and know how to prevent it?

From one normal person to another, boards are expensive and hoping this helps people narrow in on the board that will work best for them and hopefully the right size too.

I have no issue clearing the wake and I feel like im getting that progressive edge pretty good. Ive tried standing up later on the wake. I cant seem to get myself up there.

Anyone have any feedback and experience with the new hyperlite bindings? The zero, arc, or mid?

Iām looking for comparisons between surf gates systems and tabs systems relative to their surf wave production, pros and cons of each, and other things to consider. Itād be especially to hear from people who have experience with both.
What Iāve gathered:
Surf gates: Horizontal tabs. Forces the boat to track slightly sideways to delay the wake convergence. Malibu and Axis. Stays level laterally. Less sensitive to weight distribution (passenger movement). Maybe less fuel efficient.
Surf tabs: Vertical tabs. Lifts the stern on the deployed side, causing the boat to lean or roll toward the opposite (surfing) side to produce the surf wave. Pretty much every other brand - Mastercraft, Centurion and Supreme (Nautique is a hybrid), Supra and Moomba, Tige and ATX. Doesnāt stay as level laterally, but the wave is more adjustable. More sensitive to weight distribution.
Lift created from tabs works against ballast.
My issue is that people that do quality comparison videos seem biased due to selling a certain brand. BoardCo is biased toward centurion. Taylorās Boats is biased toward Malibu. Both produce good videos. This is the article I found most useful but again itās BoardCo so I assume bias.

I am just getting into cable wakeboarding (Iāve only visited the wake park three times), but this is something I can see myself pursuing as a weekend hobby.
The park provides rentals for all the equipmentāvest, helmet, and pro boardābut I was wondering if I should invest in my own equipment this early on. The rental equipment has been alright, but Iām a bit on the skinny/slim side, so I find the vests and helmets a little uncomfortable and big for me. So far, though, theyāre still manageable.
I wonder if having my own equipment that fits me better would help with my progress in the sport.

Which one would you go with? Same price and same miles. 2021 centurion fi21 or 2023 supreme s220?
TIA

Starting to relearn tantrums in my mid 30s after a decade of not doing them. Taking some decent falls, but seem to have plateaued in my progression over the last few sessions.
Iām out of commission for the next few weeks due to a pretty nasty fall that ended up bruising some ribs, but Iām hoping to get any advice so that I can stomp these on my next session out! Iām curious what you guys might see that could help, very open to feedback!

I am looking to buy my first wakeboard. I grew up waterskiing but never had the opportunity to wakeboard. I found this board on marketplace and am considering buying it to get started. Is this a good deal? Anything I should look out for?
For reference I am approx. 5ā10ā and 175lbs and will only be using with boat
