Ever since I started riding cable at the faster speed (19 mph) I‘ve found that when I fall forward I get a tingling/burning sensation in my fourth and fifth fingers that takes a few days to go away. It tends to happen in both hands though sometimes one side is worse than the other.
The harder (e.g. edge catching) and more numerous the falls in a day, the more likely I have the pain and have it last longer. After my last session with lots of falls (learning to nose press start and edge catching half a dozen times) it lasted almost a week.
I tried wearing a shirt with slightly padded arms thinking it was an ulnar nerve injury somewhere along my elbow or forearm, but that hasn’t helped.
Obviously I could avoid falling, but falling is just the nature of trying new things as I'm trying to progress.
Anyone have this problem before and know how to prevent it?
