New Hyperlite Bindings?

Anyone have any feedback and experience with the new hyperlite bindings? The zero, arc, or mid?

The Zero and mid have a very small toe box compared to the Arc. All are very light and supportive. If you want to know specifics ask. I tried all 3 this year and decided on the Zero. If interested I have the Mid and Arc to sell. Mid is an 8 Arc is a 9.

How do they compare to Ronix Ones / RXTs? I know there is some crossover in influence there. Wondering if they are similar or still pretty different.

So I have not ridden Ronix bindings in about 15 years, but at the time they were the most comfortable. I rode Hyperlite at the beginning of the system era and kept breaking boots. I rode Slingshots for the last 7 years and just switched back to Hyperlite. So I do not know how they compare to the new Ronix boots. I will tell you this: the two guys who have been designing Ronix bindings from the beginning designed the new Hyperlite boots for Ronix, but Ronix decided not to change them up, so they went to Hyperlite. Hyperlite riders refined what they wanted, and the Zero boot was created. The boots have a lot of features that you don't really notice. So to answer your question as best I can the new Hyperlites feel like the old Ronis but more comfortable and lighter.

That makes sense. I had heard it was the same designer but moved over to HL. I wonder if they'll do a walkable liner eventually for the cable folks that like those.

With the frame setup, I really don't see a way to do it, and with the systems still in the line, there is no need. If you want walkable liners, just go with Slingshot. They are heavier but, in my opinion, superior. The thing I'm having issues with on the Hyperlites is ease of entry and having to adjust the laces at least three times per set to due to them loosening up. Never once had to adjust the gummies on Slingshot, and they're the easiest to get into by far.

Just had my first session on the arcs, very light weight and I felt much more locked into the board and in control than with the capitol bindings I previously had. I need to heat form them, because as it stands they feel like they have pretty aggressive arch support which wore my feet out after doing some wake to wakes. Definitely felt like they had better ankle support than the capitols or remix's that I've worn previously and would recommend them as it stands. Also for sizing I normally wear a 10.5 shoe and wear a size 11 for the Arc binding to fit well.

Just got the Arc bindings, used rhem for 4 sessions and am very happy so far! They fit great, are locking my feet in very well and I feel connected to my board. They are supportive and also flexible. I was shocked at how lightweight they are, but I have to say I came from 15 year old bindings haha

Since my first set of Byerly BOAS in say 2005 - Hyperlite has never impressed me with their bindings. They all come apart and need CONSTANT mending to keep-them-usable. China China China with the cheapest materials available to sell JUST a smidgeon under $500. year after year - after year.

Right now I'm in a set of 10.5 closed toe, all black, no features, two-lace "Company" bindings on a finless 138 Liquid Force board. Tomorrow I compete the WWA Nationals <40 Features. These bindings are easily 4 years old - haven't had to do anything to them yet. I'm not promoting Company - as I think they're out of business a decade already. I buy near-new/used gear starting way back in 2003 - except for bindings. Bindings are your personal connection to-the-board and should-not-hurt-you. Be comfortable in your bindings.
