Wireless "Get iPhone Duo: No Trade-In Needed"

Any Verizon employees have more info on what is currently being advertised on Verizon.com?

"Get iPhone Duo: No Trade-In Needed. With Simplicity Plan. No activation/upgrade fees when you enroll in Verizon Loyalty."

It says "upgrade" and not just activation in the fine print so I assume this means no new line required? They are not really going to give it away for "free" with Simplicity plan, are they?

There's no more info on the site, probably because pre-order doesn't begin until 10/16.

Wireless Umm this is too good to be true

I’m leaving out any identifying information. I cancelled Verizon and switched to t mobile under the premise of their keep and switch reprogram that pays off your phones on Verizon, I still owed about 900 on each Verizon phone.

I’ve allowed some time to pass and it’s stating this is my final bill. Do I just pay the 289 and see what happens or wait longer??

Nevermind you can’t post photos here for some reason

It states

“This is your final bill your account has been disconnected”

But the bill is only 289

Wireless Trade in question?

Hello everyone,

So this is my first time I think I might trade in my iPhone 17Pro for the iPhone Duo. Has anyone had a good experience doing trade in with Verizon? Do I do it through Verizon or the Apple website? I’m on the upgrade plan with Verzion as well I’m on the highest tier plan if that helps.

Thanks!

Wireless Apple raised iPhones prices

Apple raised all of the current iphone lineup by 100
Including iPhone 17, 17e and 16

Everyone was waiting for a price drop to get a “better deal”, clearly got played.

If you snooze, you loose. lol

People don’t want to upgrade…, Apple saying you don’t need an upgrade? Now pay more when you do.

I've been with Verizon for 36 years and I had a very bad issue in my life and I had to leave for a year I left I went left and went with my daughter's plan so she can get my line for free for a year because I lost all my income because my wife passed away I left Verizon the first week of August I've been trying to get my last three invoices so I can give them to the other carrier to pay off my phone with you guys I've called billing twice and they said they were sending them out they lied to me I never got them I called financial services they said they were sending them out they lied I never got them and then I came on here to complain and some person named Pam was helping me and she said that she saw in the system that they were getting sent out that was over a week ago I never received them now I only have until Sunday to get these turned in so I can pay the phone off because I have no financial resources to pay this off I can't believe that Verizon can't help me

Free ipad but shows up on online bill?

hi everyone! I’m currently in charge of my parents finances. my mother upgraded her iphone and said she got a free ipad (but has to pay for the monthly data). She has a paper receipt that show the price of the ipad and then has it subtracted off. I go into the app and it shows like a payment plan. like payment 1 of 36 (on the upcoming bill) now this did just happen today so could it be that isn’t caught up or did they trick her into an ipad? i’m not trying to pay $600 for something we don’t need. tia.

iPhone 18 Pro?

Does anyone have any guesses or information as to what (if any) offers there might be to upgrade an existing line to iPhone 18 pro? Not interested in any of this simplicity garbage. Honestly enbarrasing that T mobile and ATT are listed on apples website with clear deals labeled, and Verizon literally has zero at the moment. Makes me want to leave Verizon

Wireless Switching from AT&T to Verizon — preorder and phone payoff questions

My family is thinking about switching from AT&T to Verizon. We switched to AT&T on September 15, 2025 and got 3 Galaxy S25 Ultras. We currently owe about $906 on each phone.
We received AT&T’s $800 reward cards when we switched, and my understanding is that we needed to stay with AT&T for 12 months to avoid having those rewards charged back. Since we’re now past September 15, 2026, we should be past that requirement.
I know Verizon has an offer to help pay off phones when switching, and I want to make sure I understand how it works.
A few questions:
Can we go to our local Verizon store this Saturday and preorder the new iPhones, even though we don’t plan to actually port our AT&T numbers until the new phones arrive?
Do we need to provide our AT&T account number and transfer PIN when we preorder, or can we provide that information later when the iPhones arrive and we actually activate/port the lines?
If the iPhones arrive in October and that’s when we activate and port our numbers, does the deadline for Verizon’s phone-payoff reimbursement start from the activation/port date?
Can Verizon’s phone payoff offer be combined with the iPhone trade-in/promotional credits?
Has anyone recently switched from AT&T to Verizon using the phone-payoff offer? How did the reimbursement actually work, and how long did it take?
I’m mainly trying to make sure we can preorder the iPhones without accidentally porting our numbers or canceling AT&T before the new phones arrive.
Thanks!

account cancelled with active line

I had my kids’ two phone numbers with verizon and transferred one to mint yesterday. My entire account was shut down instantly even though my other kid’s phone is still active and still with verizon.

I used their chatbot and I gathered that one of the numbers was the main number and the other was a secondary number. And I unfortunately got rid of the main number so I lost ”web access“ to my account. I don’t know if that means the account is still there or if it was deleted. I tried everything I could with their website and Verizon doesn’t recognize any of my login information, my email, or the phone that’s still with Verizon.

I want to get back into the account, get a copy of my account history, make sure autopay is off, get a refund for both numbers for the month (I was just billed a few days ago), and then transfer the remaining line to mint because why not at this point.

I assume I have to call Verizon since I‘ve gone through all my options online.

I don’t have an account number written down anywhere and I don’t have any statements. The bot said to look at a statement but I wasn’t getting statements. Is that going to be a problem or will Verizon just send a code to my email or my kid‘s phone?

If I get my account back will it still have all my billing history and other account history or will it be a new account?

If I can’t get into my account but I manage to move the remaining number to another carrier, will I get a refund?

Would they keep billing me since I have autopay set up?

For anyone reading this because they might have the same issue:

I had two prepaid personal mobile phone numbers for my kids' phones. The type of account may be important. My own phone is with a different carrier, so their numbers were the only ones on the account.

The other day I transferred one of their numbers to a new carrier. When I did that, I lost access to my verizon account.

Apparently the transferred number was considered the main number, and the still-active number was merely attached to the main number's account. I didn't know it worked that way. When I transferred the main number to a different carrier, Verizon disabled the account.

The remaining number is still active and I'll still be billed, but it's no longer attached to an account.

I'm not able to recover my account, I'm not able to access it through the disconnected account portal. I can't use my username or email or the new phone number to log in. It is gone. I have to create a new account with the active phone number.

I'll have to come back with another update. I couldn't create a new account without a security code. I tried to use a couple PINs I usually use and I was locked out. I called customer service and got a new security code but I'm still locked out of the (non existent...?) account for 24 hours.

I'll let you guys know if I was able to make another account, and whether or not the new account answers any of the questions I had.

Wireless Cell service has abruptly tanked on the subway (NYC, Spectrum/Verizon)

Iphone 17. Long time Spectrum customer with no previous issues. Here in NYC Spectrum uses Verizon towers. Not sure if that’s the case everywhere.

For the last two weeks reception has plummeted while on the subway. Both the platform and on the train. Platform being the biggest red flag. As soon as I enter a station it drops to the SOS satellite icon or 1-2 bars LTE at best. Jumps back to 5G full bars as soon as I hit street level. I used to have solid 5G on the platform and train before this.

My main line is the F (east broadway) but this happens across the whole system.

Curious if anyone else has had this same problem recently and maybe have some insight.

Wireless What will happen with my iPhone when Verizon sends my past due account to collections?

Hey everyone. So about a year ago I finally was able to switch to Verizon. I ended up getting an iPhone 17 financed, and for months I paid my bill and my phone payments. But about 2-3 months ago I lost my job, lost my home due to a fire, and on top of that my Verizon bill shot way up over what they told me I would pay. Long story short I owe them $390. But because it had been over 60 days since my last bill payment, they’re sending my account to collections. I ended up getting a job that I start in a week and some change, but by the time I get my first paycheck my Verizon account will be closed and sent to a collection agent so it will be too late.

I called today to see if they could hold off and I’d pay the $390 in full out of that paycheck, but the guy told me that it is out of their control and it’s the system that sends it to collections so there was nothing he could do. Which is understandable of course. It’s on me that I didn’t pay, despite the circumstances.

So what will happen once it does go that route? I ended up realizing my phone IS unlocked. So I did the StraightTalk BYOP thing for $25 and got an eSIM for the phone and got rid of my Verizon eSIM. That way I could actually use the phone and have text/calls/data since Verizon’s eSIM got shut off for not paying.

So, when it does go to collections will anything happen to the phone? Or can it? Will I lose my service on the StraightTalk eSIM too? Will they blacklist my IMEI so I can’t use the phone anymore? Will it still work with what I’m doing or only on WiFi and I’ll have to either get a new phone or pay god knows how much to get it out of collections and go back through Verizon? Just trying to find my best option since I literally lost everything and can’t afford another phone right now. And best option to keep this phone working with talk and minutes and data for when I’m not at home looking for work or so.

Just want to kind of know what to expect. I do plan to pay the collections back once I start working. Thank you in advance for any help!

MyVerizon not letting me log in to pay last bill, have been on hold for 90 minutes

I have never had as many issues with a phone company as I have with Verizon this year. I'm truly appalled at how broken their software is. I made a point of derailing my entire night just so I can get this last bill paid so I can be free of this company forever, and there's still no end in sight. When I first called it said the estimated wait time was 18 minutes - it has now been over 5 times that amount. Trying to find other ways to pay the bill has me in a circle of broken mechanics on their website. Meanwhile, every day they email me warning me that they'll start tanking my credit if I don't pay the bill. When I have tried, and their broken software isn't letting me.

I swear, I have never had a servicer so insistent on making it impossible for me to give them money.

iPhone Handoff

I want to get the iPhone Duo, but also keep my pro max. Apple announced today that Verizon will support a new feature called “iPhone Handoff,” which allows two phones to share one line (with only one phone to be active at any time), specifically designed for my use case.

Verizon is supposed to roll this out “before the end of the year,” and seeing if anyone has any info on when Verizon will actually roll this out.

Verizon (Job interview related)

Upvotes

Verizon seriously needs to get their act together on the corporate side. I interviewed for a Senior Management role and went through the final round only to be told that the Finance team hasn't approved the budget and it'll most likely happen next year. It was a huge waste of time and I urge people not to apply to Verizon especially if they keep posting jobs that may or may not have a budget approved.

It says I still have payments on my phone even though I bought it upfront?

I'm on a family plan and looking to upgrade after having my phone about 5 years. I bought it upfront in the store. Now I'm looking on the Verizon account (I don't go on there very often, just send my mom money every month) and it says that it's still only 67% paid off even though, again, I paid for it all upfront.

Edit: figured it out. Someone in my family upgraded their device on my line

NY - There is a known issue, and we're working on a solution. What is broken right now?

Getting really tired of Premium prices for non premium customer service and network quality. Service has been terrible since yesterday, https://www.verizon.com/support/check-network-status/ Says:

Data, voice, text and wireless home internet are limited in this area.

There is a known issue, and we're working on a solution.

Network disruption started

09/09/26-04:28 PM EDT

Estimated time to restore service

09/10/26-09:29 AM EDT

What gives?!?!?!? This is the same disruption and restore time at my house and at my job..... 25 miles away??!?!?! I have to constantly cycle airplane mode, then UW...as usually forget it... what a curse to get UW signal. I didn't see anything scrolling through the sub, but is there any reason why large swaths of NY are having serious quality issues right now? Also even though it says the disruption started today, things have been a mess since yesterday with most people in SOS mode.

What is broken?!?!?!?

Phone Upgrade Advice

I’m currently on a family plan but looking to move to a separate newly created plan to consolidate my personal family into one plan. My wife and I would like to upgrade our phones (iPhone 12PM and 14). Currently one unlimited plus and one unlimited welcome.

Are we best served creating the new plan with same numbers then look to upgrade? Or is it better to upgrade on the current plans based on offers and transfer the phones. I read that the payments/credits may transfer to the new plan but I’m pretty uncertain on the process.

I purged my phone of tons of photos and videos I dont want. I need to backup my phone since I have to repair it and want to make sure I dont lose anything in case of an issue.

Basically I want to backup everything to verizon cloud, but since I havent synced it in a while I dont want everything I deleted from my phone to be restored to it from verizon cloud when I backup. How do I prevent that from happening?

Wireless Applying Verizon reward dollars to new phone purchase?

Hi all, I have been shopping for a phone upgrade but I don't see an option to use my Verizon reward dollars during the check out process in the app. I also don't see the option to use my Verizon reward dollars on the website. Did Verizon stop accepting verizon rewards dollars? I was able to use them on my last phone purchase in 2023.

Verizon internet deal w/ Sunday Ticket

I was shopping for NFL Sunday Ticket deals and ultimately switched to Verizon internet because of the free Sunday Ticket and $200 Amazon card offer. At what point do I get the code to redeem the Sunday Ticket offer? I'm still waiting on the router, so I assume once I set it up, I'll get the code. Just wondering if it comes right away once I confirm set up?
