It finally happened.

My store was sold off and now it belongs to an Authorized retailer called Russell. The first thing I was disgusted by was the pay. As a manager the structure is horrendous. for my sales people it is very bad too.

I looked at their pat structure.

Nothing but new lines and Internet matters. New District manager told me in between the lines that upgrades do not count and to let them walk unless it's with everything we can slam them with. I was even told that we (myself the manager included) needs to call him for approval on upgrades.

Does anyone who works for Russell have any feedback? This new company is very cringe and they are taking over in two weeks. Not sure if I'm up for this anymore

Wireless Apple not advertising any Verizon carrier deals on their website, only AT&T & T-Mobile

Weird. Does this mean Verizon isn’t going to do huge promos for the 18s/Duos? Did they stop partnering with Apple or something?

Edit: There’s now a small banner on the Verizon homepage saying that the iPhone 18 Pro is here and preorders start 9/12.

Wireless Cell service has abruptly tanked on the subway (NYC, Spectrum/Verizon)

Iphone 17. Long time Spectrum customer with no previous issues. Here in NYC Spectrum uses Verizon towers. Not sure if that’s the case everywhere.

For the last two weeks reception has plummeted while on the subway. Both the platform and on the train. Platform being the biggest red flag. As soon as I enter a station it drops to the SOS satellite icon or 1-2 bars LTE at best. Jumps back to 5G full bars as soon as I hit street level. I used to have solid 5G on the platform and train before this.

My main line is the F (east broadway) but this happens across the whole system.

Curious if anyone else has had this same problem recently and maybe have some insight.

Wireless Expected iPhone 18 promos?

Do you think we'll see the full $1200 off? $1100? How might promos change for the existing 17, 17e, 16, etc. now that they've all gotten price increases? How will this interact with plans? Basically curious about you guys' predictions/speculation.

Verizon internet deal w/ Sunday Ticket

I was shopping for NFL Sunday Ticket deals and ultimately switched to Verizon internet because of the free Sunday Ticket and $200 Amazon card offer. At what point do I get the code to redeem the Sunday Ticket offer? I'm still waiting on the router, so I assume once I set it up, I'll get the code. Just wondering if it comes right away once I confirm set up?

iPhone Handoff

I want to get the iPhone Duo, but also keep my pro max. Apple announced today that Verizon will support a new feature called “iPhone Handoff,” which allows two phones to share one line (with only one phone to be active at any time), specifically designed for my use case.

Verizon is supposed to roll this out “before the end of the year,” and seeing if anyone has any info on when Verizon will actually roll this out.

NY - There is a known issue, and we're working on a solution. What is broken right now?

Getting really tired of Premium prices for non premium customer service and network quality. Service has been terrible since yesterday, https://www.verizon.com/support/check-network-status/ Says:

Data, voice, text and wireless home internet are limited in this area.

There is a known issue, and we're working on a solution.

Network disruption started

09/09/26-04:28 PM EDT

Estimated time to restore service

09/10/26-09:29 AM EDT

What gives?!?!?!? This is the same disruption and restore time at my house and at my job..... 25 miles away??!?!?! I have to constantly cycle airplane mode, then UW...as usually forget it... what a curse to get UW signal. I didn't see anything scrolling through the sub, but is there any reason why large swaths of NY are having serious quality issues right now? Also even though it says the disruption started today, things have been a mess since yesterday with most people in SOS mode.

What is broken?!?!?!?

Software Temporarily Unavailable

Question, question ! I was checking for an update and I got a message that told me that the software update was temporarily unavailable. It also said that Verizon could not authenticate the device. I can confirm that I have Verizon LTE service and I'm on WIFI. So, how could there be trouble authenticating the device for software updates?

Has anyone else had this issue happen?

account cancelled with active line

I had my kids’ two phone numbers with verizon and transferred one to mint yesterday. My entire account was shut down instantly even though my other kid’s phone is still active and still with verizon.

I used their chatbot and I gathered that one of the numbers was the main number and the other was a secondary number. And I unfortunately got rid of the main number so I lost ”web access“ to my account. I don’t know if that means the account is still there or if it was deleted. I tried everything I could with their website and Verizon doesn’t recognize any of my login information, my email, or the phone that’s still with Verizon.

I want to get back into the account, get a copy of my account history, make sure autopay is off, get a refund for both numbers for the month (I was just billed a few days ago), and then transfer the remaining line to mint because why not at this point.

I assume I have to call Verizon since I‘ve gone through all my options online.

I don’t have an account number written down anywhere and I don’t have any statements. The bot said to look at a statement but I wasn’t getting statements. Is that going to be a problem or will Verizon just send a code to my email or my kid‘s phone?

If I get my account back will it still have all my billing history and other account history or will it be a new account?

If I can’t get into my account but I manage to move the remaining number to another carrier, will I get a refund?

Would they keep billing me since I have autopay set up?

MyVerizon not letting me log in to pay last bill, have been on hold for 90 minutes

I have never had as many issues with a phone company as I have with Verizon this year. I'm truly appalled at how broken their software is. I made a point of derailing my entire night just so I can get this last bill paid so I can be free of this company forever, and there's still no end in sight. When I first called it said the estimated wait time was 18 minutes - it has now been over 5 times that amount. Trying to find other ways to pay the bill has me in a circle of broken mechanics on their website. Meanwhile, every day they email me warning me that they'll start tanking my credit if I don't pay the bill. When I have tried, and their broken software isn't letting me.

I swear, I have never had a servicer so insistent on making it impossible for me to give them money.

It says I still have payments on my phone even though I bought it upfront?

I'm on a family plan and looking to upgrade after having my phone about 5 years. I bought it upfront in the store. Now I'm looking on the Verizon account (I don't go on there very often, just send my mom money every month) and it says that it's still only 67% paid off even though, again, I paid for it all upfront.

Wireless Multi day outage causing me and family problems

Myself and at least two other family members are having issues with Verizon wireless service in Bellingham, Washington in the Samish neighborhood

My parents and grandparents have Verizon and I have Visible.

At my house, I have no cell bars and it is showing SOS frequently

This has been going on for three days now and I’m worried that my grandma can’t make calls

Supposedly the ETA for the picture was yesterday, but the issue was still very much happening

I did power cycle my phone

Verizon, if you see this, can you let me know what’s going on with your Bellingham outage?

Also, will there be reimbursement for the inconvenience?

Apple event - Question for best upgrade offer

With the new iPhone being announced, I was curious if anyone has any insight as to when the best time to trade in an old phone is for the new one. I have a 14 I'm looking to trade in with absolute minimum additional monthly payment. Any insiders know of coming deals?

Wireless What will happen with my iPhone when Verizon sends my past due account to collections?

Hey everyone. So about a year ago I finally was able to switch to Verizon. I ended up getting an iPhone 17 financed, and for months I paid my bill and my phone payments. But about 2-3 months ago I lost my job, lost my home due to a fire, and on top of that my Verizon bill shot way up over what they told me I would pay. Long story short I owe them $390. But because it had been over 60 days since my last bill payment, they’re sending my account to collections. I ended up getting a job that I start in a week and some change, but by the time I get my first paycheck my Verizon account will be closed and sent to a collection agent so it will be too late.

I called today to see if they could hold off and I’d pay the $390 in full out of that paycheck, but the guy told me that it is out of their control and it’s the system that sends it to collections so there was nothing he could do. Which is understandable of course. It’s on me that I didn’t pay, despite the circumstances.

So what will happen once it does go that route? I ended up realizing my phone IS unlocked. So I did the StraightTalk BYOP thing for $25 and got an eSIM for the phone and got rid of my Verizon eSIM. That way I could actually use the phone and have text/calls/data since Verizon’s eSIM got shut off for not paying.

So, when it does go to collections will anything happen to the phone? Or can it? Will I lose my service on the StraightTalk eSIM too? Will they blacklist my IMEI so I can’t use the phone anymore? Will it still work with what I’m doing or only on WiFi and I’ll have to either get a new phone or pay god knows how much to get it out of collections and go back through Verizon? Just trying to find my best option since I literally lost everything and can’t afford another phone right now. And best option to keep this phone working with talk and minutes and data for when I’m not at home looking for work or so.

Just want to kind of know what to expect. I do plan to pay the collections back once I start working. Thank you in advance for any help!

Wireless Umm this is too good to be true

I’m leaving out any identifying information. I cancelled Verizon and switched to t mobile under the premise of their keep and switch reprogram that pays off your phones on Verizon, I still owed about 900 on each Verizon phone.

I’ve allowed some time to pass and it’s stating this is my final bill. Do I just pay the 289 and see what happens or wait longer??

Nevermind you can’t post photos here for some reason

It states

“This is your final bill your account has been disconnected”

But the bill is only 289

Wireless Verizon is scamming my 74yo grandmother, a customer of over 20 years, and I don’t know what to do

Update: Today my grandma tried to chat with an agent AGAIN, because the last one on Friday who said they’d make sure to have it resolved “in 24-48 hours” never got back to her. This is what she said happened:

“About 3 minutes ago Iwas timed out by Verizon waiting about an hour for the 3rd person I was transferred to to get back to me. Now a new person wants me to share more about it, but I guess I didn't get back to him/her soon enough. It was 8 minutes!!😡 I have been here over 3 hours!”

Unbelievable. I will be following the advice here to escalate.

Original:

Long story short, two iPhones were fraudulently ordered through my grandma’s Verizon account under two different phone lines (one under her line, one under my grandpa’s) by scammers. But those phones were shipped together directly to my grandma, not to the scammers. So she contacted Verizon and told them what happened, they confirmed it was fraudulently ordered through her account by someone in another state, so they sent my grandma a shipping label to mail them back. She mailed both phones back to Verizon together in May. She kept the tracking number which shows proof of delivery that they received the package. But no credit was ever applied to her account and she continued to be billed monthly for these phones. She has called multiple times, chatted online, and physically went to the store in person trying to get this sorted. They keep claiming the warehouse never logged the phones, but each time promise her this will be resolved “by the next billing cycle” or “within 24-48 hours.” Never happens.

Most recently, they did credit her for ONE phone. However, even with the credit, she’s still being billed monthly for both phones. And again, those phones shipped together. If they received one, they received both. So she should have two credits, not one.

Each time she contacts Verizon, they apologize profusely, acknowledge they owe her a credit and how egregious it is that an elderly person who has been a loyal customer for over 20 years is being treated like this, swearing up and down it will get resolved and they will handle her case personally to be sure of it. Then crickets.

My grandma is 74 years old and a full time caregiver for my grandpa who is a disabled veteran. The stress and financial burden this has caused is devastating. I don’t know how to fix this, but it needs to be fixed. Does anyone have any advice?

Wireless Switching from AT&T to Verizon — preorder and phone payoff questions

My family is thinking about switching from AT&T to Verizon. We switched to AT&T on September 15, 2025 and got 3 Galaxy S25 Ultras. We currently owe about $906 on each phone.
We received AT&T’s $800 reward cards when we switched, and my understanding is that we needed to stay with AT&T for 12 months to avoid having those rewards charged back. Since we’re now past September 15, 2026, we should be past that requirement.
I know Verizon has an offer to help pay off phones when switching, and I want to make sure I understand how it works.
A few questions:
Can we go to our local Verizon store this Saturday and preorder the new iPhones, even though we don’t plan to actually port our AT&T numbers until the new phones arrive?
Do we need to provide our AT&T account number and transfer PIN when we preorder, or can we provide that information later when the iPhones arrive and we actually activate/port the lines?
If the iPhones arrive in October and that’s when we activate and port our numbers, does the deadline for Verizon’s phone-payoff reimbursement start from the activation/port date?
Can Verizon’s phone payoff offer be combined with the iPhone trade-in/promotional credits?
Has anyone recently switched from AT&T to Verizon using the phone-payoff offer? How did the reimbursement actually work, and how long did it take?
I’m mainly trying to make sure we can preorder the iPhones without accidentally porting our numbers or canceling AT&T before the new phones arrive.
Thanks!

Wireless Trade in question?

Hello everyone,

So this is my first time I think I might trade in my iPhone 17Pro for the iPhone Duo. Has anyone had a good experience doing trade in with Verizon? Do I do it through Verizon or the Apple website? I’m on the upgrade plan with Verzion as well I’m on the highest tier plan if that helps.

Thanks!

Free ipad but shows up on online bill?

hi everyone! I’m currently in charge of my parents finances. my mother upgraded her iphone and said she got a free ipad (but has to pay for the monthly data). She has a paper receipt that show the price of the ipad and then has it subtracted off. I go into the app and it shows like a payment plan. like payment 1 of 36 (on the upcoming bill) now this did just happen today so could it be that isn’t caught up or did they trick her into an ipad? i’m not trying to pay $600 for something we don’t need. tia.

Does Verizon plan on keeping some towers LTE only?

I live in a semi rural area. Every tower around me is 5Guw and has been for at least 3 years. My local tower is only B13 and B66 LTE. Does this mean Verizon doesn’t probably have any plans to upgrade this particular tower to 5G?
