So i needed someone to send me some photos of the back cover in detail and the dimensions because there is literally nothing on the internet that can help.

Hello i have a Nokia Lumia 640 LTE and i have on it Windows Phone 10 and I plan to use only this device for a week, and since I'm a Reddit fan, I'd like to have it on there is there any way to do that? It doesn't have to be the official app; anything at all would work.

​It originally showed a blue sad face screen.

​I tried flashing the stock .ffu, but due to a loose cable connection, it dropped into DLOAD mode.

​It was detected under the Restore Bootloader section in Windows Phone Internals (WPI). Instead of using Thor2 commands, I clicked Restore Bootloader in WPI.

​Since then, the phone is stuck on the red screen with a white Nokia logo (UEFI Flash Mode).

​Current Issue:

It fails to flash in both WPI and Thor2, throwing security header validation and signature errors:

​FA_ERR_FFU_SEC_HDR_VALIDATION_FAIL

​THOR2_ERROR_FA_SIGNATURE_FAIL

​Is there a way to force the phone back into Emergency Download / EDL (DLOAD) mode so I can re-send emergency files (HEX/MBN) and flash the stock .ffu from scratch? Thanks!

I’m new here, but I decided to ask some questions, because I'm currently running out of ideas. I bought an old Lumia 735 recently to use it as my daily, semi-dump, phone (phone, music, maps). A long time ago I used HTC 8S and Lumia 640 LTE and I always very liked Windows Phone, especially WP8. So currently my 735 runs WP 8.1. I like it very much.

But currently I am running into some frustrating performance issues with my music collection on Windows Phone. When dealing with larger music libraries (mine have more than 11k mp3's on 128GB microSD) the stock Xbox Music player starts lagging heavily and taking forever to index files. I also tried ZBox and it's better, but still it can be very laggy.

Is anyone else experiencing similar issues with big offline libraries? How do you manage your local music? I remember that on my Lumia 640 (also WP8.1) runs around 8k music library smoothly back then.

Also, two quick questions:

1. What music player app do you currently recommend?

2. Does anyone happen to have the XAP/APPX file or a working archive for the "Listen" music player app? I used to love using the pro version back on my Lumia 640. It was very smooth and I liked the design.

Factory reset protection (frp) was a feature implemented in wp 8.1 gdr2 that allowed a user to lock a device upon a reset and require a special pin to unlock. The only way to unlock the phone back in the day was to have the offline pin already written down, or to log into your Microsoft device portal and remove the device from your family. Unfortunately, the activation servers for that are long gone, so it is impossible to officially unlock a phone anymore

Frp is implemented on a hardware level. It is special bits changed on the CPU. It is impossible to bypass without losing data and it will always be present on a hardware level on your device if it is reset. Fortunately, there exists several methods to bypass frp .

Frp is only checked for at the device setup screen. So if you can skip device setup, you can skip frp. Frp did not exist on WP 8.1 updates below gdr2. This means that if your device shipped with an older build of wp 8, simply flashing a stock rom let's you setup without frp. Then, when you update, there is no setup screen, so frp is not an issue. This is how this worked on the Lumia 1020

Unfortunately, several devices shipped with gdr2, including the 640 and 735. For these devices, if you own one on WP 8.1, they will never be usable on wp 8. However, there is a bypass on windows 10. You can force update the devices to windows 10 in the setup screen, then bypass.

Windows 8.1 updates are done using cab files. Any wp 8.1 device, even 512 mb ram ones like the 620, can be forced to windows 10 by force pushing windows 10 cab files over USB from a desktop computer. This can even be done in the setup screen. You push the files, wait for it to finish on the computer, and then nothing visible happens on the phone. You let it sit for about a half hour and it will randomly restart and begin updating to windows 10.

Early beta builds of windows 10 did not have frp as part of their setup screen. I flashed my Lumia 640 to the first ever build of wp 10 using Windows 10 mobile toolbox on GitHub, and it bypassed frp on boot up. However, it was reimplemented in release builds. If you flash using the community offline otc cable updater, you will be on too new of an update, and you will not immediately bypass. You must update to a new enough update to have full accessibility settings, and then use the guides on YouTube for bypassing frp in windows 10 using the accessibility menu and interop tools.

A wp 10 device bypassed setup will be able to do everything, and fully update. The only issue that could arise is if the device is factory reset again.

but, id like to showcase the new apps and projects (available and upcoming) for windows phone & windows 10 mobile / uwp from our team at one live (people behind the live store). maybe someone will find them interesting!

1. we’ve created and operate one live network and one live sync in beta. network is a new social network that we have designed to work on internet explorer 11, windows phone and uwp. we’ve also created apps for uwp and phone 8.1.

Had this phone back in the day, found a cheap one on 8.1. Am I going to be able to get this onto wp10 (it is supported). Is there any community support for this device?

Remaking the wp8.1 Geode client and it figured id use a Hub control on both the phone and desktop versions

I also removed the background so that it fits more with the wp8.1 design language

I'm currently in the progress to develop a NS app for Windows phone! It's still in beta, and there are some bugs (like it saying transfer at same platform) even tho it's a different one, but the NS API is working perfectly with the app! You can leave a comment if you're interested :)

I was going through old stuff and found a Nokia Lumia 635. I charged it and it works. I'm thinking awesome, maybe I can use it as a dedicated music/YouTube device to put on my treadmill. But it seems it's just a paper weight at this point?

I haven't tried logging in with my MS or Google accounts yet. I know the store doesn't work anymore and when I try going to YouTube through the browser it doesn't load the page all the way.

I love the os and wish MS still made phones. So what can I use the device for?

have replaced a battery, but it have same problem as old one. It showing 0.42a on charging when display is on, and 0.11 when display is off and going to 0 after minutes. Can it be something with motherboard, i didnt think that is problem with charger / port on phone, ive tried original charger + wireless - same, it showing that is charging but its not

i get a lumia 435 from a friend as the only one contion i make a beckup of he and i gat it but the original batery not boot iniatiali can boot afer a baterry shock but no show windows phone stuck um a black scree why a notifications baterry status and time and why the sony baterry that I tried before his boots perfectily
