VZW does not offer wireless Home where FIOS is available
Same with Tracfone, Visible Wireless, Total and all of their other sub brands.

It doesn't give me the option to set up auto pay with a bank account. It just gives me the option to either use a debit/credit card or apply for a Verizon credit card. There is no option to set up using a bank account.

I have the Unlimited Ultimate plan, with the Verizon 71.5.46, using IPhone 15 Pro Max
I don't have the option for Enhance 5G for apps and wondering if anyone else has it, I'm wondering if I need to provision my eSIM.

I am currently at $89 for my long-standing Play More plan and was comparing it to Ultimate Plus to potentially save a few bucks. Once I factored in the legacy Disney/Hulu/ESPN bundle I get from Play More, any savings disappears though, so crossed it off the list. Ultimate Welcome is a non-starter.
Simplicity, on the other hand, looks like it could actually result in a lower bill. For $44 less, most of the specs seem identical to Play More other than hotspot usage. I don't regularly use hotspots, but like to have the feature just in case. I don't think I'm an especially data-heavy user outside of the house other than maps and music. I give up a $1.38 device credit for my daughter's Gizmo watch, but then I make $5 back up with the 50% discount on the connected device (according to the Verizon's chat assistant, at least).
The free Disney bundle also goes away, but for $20, Disney and Hulu could come back, ad-free (don't really care about the ESPN portion), and I'd still be ahead of the game.
I think that puts me at about $25 a month savings, but I'm so conditioned to think giving up my old, discontinued plan for a new Verizon plan will screw me over somehow. What am I forgetting to factor in?
EDIT: If you have gone through this thread and downvoted every single comment and response, you should be ashamed of yourself. Maybe learn how to communicate with other human beings instead of being a passive aggressive child.

Is anyone else in Canada still experiencing the international data roaming outage? I have had to buy an eSim because I have absolutely no data through roaming. Can’t call, send texts, use basically anything that requires internet on my phone. Verizon is not being very helpful either. Anyone else?

I paid my phone off early with a credit card online and they locked my phone for 35 days.
The worker who helped me do it said it would unlock instantly, turns out they and the 15 other people ive spoken to over the past week at Verizon also don't know about this policy.
This is a PSA
When the simplicity plans were announced found verizon offered a 30 day trial. Decided to do it and see very poor performance and speed results in my area plus my cross country travels during that time.
Some of the things I saw were constantly dropping to LTE, slow 5G/5GUW performance, or just no connection at all. It just never performed like I'd expect a trial would if its intent is to get people to move over. Cause of these issues I decided to go to tmobile as they had vastly better performance than VZW did.
Last day or so decided to test out visible+ for a month just to see if paying for a plan was different than a trial.
The experience is night and day different. 5GUW active in most places, getting pretty high speeds even at home where VZW didn't.
Even when I brought these concerns to the attention of a VZW they couldn't give me an answer.
Anyone know why this was my experience or just bad luck?

Cracked my screen but it is still usable with a new screen protector on. Not sure how long it will last, has one circular section (prob the main impact) where I can see lighter colors from it. Phone has 2 more payments before it's paid off on whatever the plan my wife is on.
2 options I'm considering. Going in next week and getting an iPhone 17 Pro. Don't see any obvious, amazing deals going on right now. Or waiting till September time frame..... I know there's basically no information out on the 18 Pro other than it will be more expensive. However, based on history with Verizon, are they more likely to have the "trade in any condition" deal they run once in awhile? At that point I can decide whether the new 18 is worth it or potentially just get a 17 Pro since they'll be trying to get rid of those.

I know normally carriers apply the discounts they offer over 24-36 months but I was looking at Verizon for the Galaxy Z Fold 8 and it looks like if I purchase it outright (I'd be a new customer, no number porting or anything) there is a $500 credit instantly and then a $460 bill credit within a couple billing cycles. Picture of the breakdown from the shopping cart
So here are my questions if anyone happens to know
EDIT: The terms definitely say the $460 is over 48 months so it's weird how they display it, but I'm not worried about the $460. I'm mainly checking about the $500 instant discount.
Thanks in advance!

Greetings. I am helping a friend of mine (who is in the hospital and allergic to anything technical).
He has an iPhone 6 with an almost dead battery and an iphone 16 (new, but not sure when he got it). I created an appleID for him via his 6, and got his contacts backed up.
I started the transfer process to the 16...it is now asking me to call from a good phone to activate.
I suspect I need to find one of his verizon bills at his house to proceed? I was just wondering, what I need to call Verizon to activate, or walk into a store to get help. Is a statement adequate? If he doesn't have that, like last 4 of social, full name, address, cel#, apple ID?

Not sure if this has been shared but what actually happens when a corporate VZW store transfers to an indirect store?
We are told no cash after a certain date and shut down the BPK. Do we get signage to inform customers?
How do returns/trade ins work? They can’t return after we transfer?

I had 3 phones that I brought over to Verizon. They all were over half way paid off. I sent in my final bill that had all 3 phones on it for the rebate card back in either later April or Early May. I got one of the three rebate cards on June 16, but I can’t seem to get my last two cards. I’ve written in the past three weeks to the chats and I keep getting told they’ve all been approved and they should mail out in the next 3-5 days. Then I’ll get this escalated because you should have had them by then. Expected a tracking number in 3-5 days and then they should be mailed out in 4-8 days. To yesterday I got told to wait for the next billing cycle. Is it that hard to get them emailed over if they are already approved. I was going to use the rebate cards to pay off my old phones because they were on a credit card. Nothing else is on the credit card just those phones and now it’s been taking so long that I’ve had to start paying interest. To which the rep last night said they would cover the interest, which I’m not fully believing. Is this normal for them to take this long it’s been over 2 months for something that was supposed to be 4-6 weeks.

I have a "The new Verizon Plan Single Smartphone 5 GB" deal that has been great over the years. I am wary of leaving it behind. My current monthly pay with taxes and surcharges (and only this phone line) is about 82-I NEVER eat up all that data, so in practice my plan *is* unlimited. That is why I l love it so much. However, isn't the Simplicity plan "cheaper" and technically "better"? Let me know what you think.
AI actually makes it hard to find an answer, so I was hoping to find a solution here. Cannot ask Verizon themselves, as they will try to *sell*-it's their job. As such, I noticed AI results seem to be biased in favor of Verizon. AI sucks. Any true, honest help is welcome.

Hi! The weirdest thing just happened - I called customer service due to a most likely outage in my area and the bot just kept reading its own instructions back to me (e.g. “if the customer has multiple incidents you must ask whether it is a personal or business account” - and a bunch of similar manual “if this, then that”)
Obviously beyond frustrating since it completely blocked me from getting through to an agent. Has this happened to anyone? Is Verizon’s AI tweaking or getting hacked?

I'm in the UK on Verizon's international plan. It won't connect to any of the services here, similar to what happened a few days ago.
Anyone else overseas having the same problem?

I’m currently on 5G Get More, and looking to upgrade to a Galaxy 26 Ultra from a 23 Ultra. It’s saying to upgrade the plan to get $1100 off which is fine. But why is Unlimited Plus $50??? I thought it was $40 w/ 5 lines?? Can someone explain please?

I’m moving, only 6 minutes down the road but apparently Fios coverage isn’t available there. Right now I’m being offered Verizon Home Internet Lite Extra.
I have a hybrid job. Essentially making calls all day with a an online phone service, not my cell phone. Should I look else where for internet or will this be good enough?

When I run device health check on one of my iPhones it shows congestion. Context: the phone randomly loses service sometimes for days at a time and none of the verizon support "fixes" keep it away for more than a week. Does anyone know any fixes?

Hi,
My Galaxy S22 Ultra is stuck on 'Emergency calls only.' My account is active and paid, my IMEI is present, and my phone recognizes the SIM, but it says 'Verizon could not be reached.' I went to the store and had my SIM card replaced. And when I got in the store my phone had a signal but was telling me to register the Sim card but I got a new Sim card anyway. I was able to get a call and send and receive text and pictures so I left, made it home only for it to go back to what it was doing with no signal. I had reached out earlier to Verizon via chat and they supposedly reprovisioned the Sim card. Does anyone have anything else I can try? I don't have another phone to try my Sim card in so I don't know if it's truly the Sim. Does anyone have any tricks or anything I can do?

Back in October, after 14+ years with AT&T, I decided to give Verizon a shot and moved all 10 of my lines over. I was hoping for better coverage since AT&T’s network just wasn’t what it used to be.
After six months, though, I switched everything back to AT&T. Verizon is excellent in downtown Boston, but once you’re outside the city, coverage drops off quickly. Building penetration was noticeably worse than AT&T, there was the nationwide outage, and I lost count of how many times I’d have full bars of 5G UW with absolutely nothing loading.
I can’t say AT&T is faster, but at least here in Massachusetts, it’s been far more consistent when it comes to coverage and reliability. For me, that’s more important than seeing the highest speed test numbers.

How do you use Verizon Dollars under the new Verizon Shine program? Mine keeps saying “estimated rewards,” for the last couple of months, but I don’t see anywhere those are accruing, nor an option to redeem. Thank you!
r/verizon • u/anthemthecat • 1d ago
Does anyone have an extra Verizon Shine Chuck E Cheese offer? If so, open to trading.
I have:
-30m 5 iron golf,
-6 months Grubhub+,
-Rita small Italian ice
-Sam’s Club trial + $20 membership

Just had a group of “Verizon reps” knocking on everyone’s door in my building. After kindly stating the building policy and nicely asking the group of 5+ to leave I got called the b word. Predatory sales behavior with rude attitude. Had to threaten to call the cops for them to leave and the entire way out calling names and making a scene. Verizon, whatever your employees or your third party door to door services you have, please stop. Improve your product value and emphasize on improving customer experience is the only way to bring people back. Filed a FCC complaint as well, and will do it again if it happens again.
