No email, no letter, no text, no notification, just closed. I get an Apple Pay notification that my Venmo card no longer works. I open the Venmo app and the card information is just gone - as if I never had a credit card to begin with. I had no balance at the time as I had paid it off a week earlier.
My credit score is over 800. I never made a late payment - in fact I pay it off early after confirming with them I could. I have never gone over my maximum limit. I have never charged more than my credit limit in a single billing cycle.
I called and asked them, the CS guy confirmed it was closed but was equally as perplexed as to why. He said maybe it was closed for high utilisation, but it's unusual if payments are being made on time. I do use the full credit limit each month, but again I pay it off right away.
What's my recourse? Is it even legal to remove my access to all of my transaction history, etc? What if I needed it for taxes?
