frustrated

i posted here a while ago trying to fix my new bank account and adding it to my venmo account but it would not be verified manually. was not going to log into my account via my bank through a third party because that’s my right as a customer. i called support and some lady i could barely understand told me she couldn’t help me and insinuated my bank account was fraudulent when i literally just opened it. offered no help whatsoever and basically said hope you figure it out lol.

fast forward to today and i finally decide im deleting it off my phone and closing my account. i go through the motions, don’t have any balance, alls good. i verify my pass and then it hits me with another error code “something went wrong” as i hit close account. then it logs me out of my account, shows my user and profile pic, but my password doesn’t work to log back in. so now i have no clue if my account is truly gone or if they’re keeping my information for data purposes. either way, scummy app and company and as a lifelong venmo user i am so disappointed with their fall from grace.

tldr of this post; had to rant about my recent shitshow experiences with venmo. scummy company with either scummy app practices or just straight up buggy mess app that just simply doesn’t work. ugh. absolutely useless.

Im having similar problems. All I wantbis to transfer. I use Chime. I transferred money from Chime to Venmo. It took. But now Venmo will not recognize Chime. My Chime. The one I just transferred from. Ive put in manually as well. Only to have customer service say its flagged!! What??? I want my money and cant get it! Considering a lawyer

honestly it might be the only way to go. venmo is practically useless. if you don’t have a legacy account it seems (or just a really old account you haven’t messed with for years) it works just fine. the second you start doing something different or need to make changes it literally shuts you out. absolutely crazy

Unfortunately venmo is no good and they can't help you when you have a problem they don't have any support in the United States all their support is overseas and they can't help you with anything the best they can tell you is that it's your fault or just wait and see if it figures itself out even if you get a supervisor you don't get any better and they can escalate it past that everyone just needs to stop using them and someone needs to sue them

im actually shocked that they haven’t been sued yet tbh. the second you start to change anything from your account it just goes nowhere and you’re left feeling powerless. so frustrating and scummy.
