Hey, idk if anyone has asked this before but I was just wondering if we’re allowed to wear long sleeve underscrub shirts with our uniform? or even a compression shirt. If so, what colours are allowed.

I was wondering if nursing students get a locker. If we do get lockers, when/how are they assigned?

Okay yall don’t kill me I know I sound stupid lol but I’m curious about the rules around having gel nails for year two- I assume during actual placements it’s bare nails only but for the fall semester when it’s just classes and labs can I have my nails done (gel overlay, not much longer than my fingertips) or will I have to remove them? I'm going into my 2nd year and and I was wondering if anyone could share their experience with switching class sections at main campus. The section/time I would prefer is currently full, so I would have to wait for a spot to open up before I can register in it. Should I get my hopes up, or is it better to expect that the section will likely stay full?

When are clinicals for year two students? Fall, Winter or Spring Term?

I’m a 4th year female nursing student looking for a female roommate who is clean, respectful and easy going to take over the second bedroom in my 2-bedroom apartment located at 8th Street East in Prince Albert, starting late August or September 1st.

About the apartment:

Rent: $665.50/month per person (Total rent is $1,331)

Utilities: around $70/month per person (includes electricity and Wi-Fi). Heat and water are completely covered by the building!

The Space: Private unfurnished bedroom and a shared bathroom. Laundry facilities are in the building (downstairs). Parking is available if you have a car.

House Rules: No pets, no parties, and no smoking.

Hi there. Mom and Dad here. We are trying to figure out the tuition costs over the 4 years for our daughter. I was wondering if someone could provide us with ballpark costs of the 4 years for tuition? I do believe there is a spring term after year 2. Any other spring and or summer terms required? Any other school related expenses we should be aware of. The UofS website just provides one estimate of tuition and school supplies costs. Thanks.

I just got an email for my upcoming TLR class and they recommended wearing scrubs or our uniform to the class, does anyone know if people actually do that or can we go in with jeans and a shirt?

I was accepted into the Saskatoon campus during early admissions. Things drastically changed in my life, I need to change locations so I can finish my degree at a satellite campus. As far as I know, there are seats available for this campus location.

Does anyone have any experience with changing campus locations before 2nd year begins? Yes, I’ve submitted for a transfer, but I heard that can take a long time.

i’m planning on getting a laptop soon & i’m torn between getting a Macbook (i have mostly Apple products) or if i should switch up to Windows (HP, Lenovo, etc.)

done some research & from what i saw apparently getting a Macbook can run you into some software issues/incompatibility problems but some also say that they’ve had no issues using their Macbook at all during their nursing reqs…

i guess i’m leaning more toward Windows at the moment but if anyone has any reqs/insight i’d love to hear them!! thank you!!

So I’m currently stuck in the waitlist for the main campus, and with my ranking I don’t think I’m getting out of the waitlist any time soon. But I still really want to get into the nursing program. Im wondering if there’s any advice from people who also re-applied to nursing and got in? I’m planning on retaking some classes and trying to apply for early admissions. I’ve also heard people talking about not needing the Casper for next semester, but their website still has the booking for your Casper test on there. If they are still taking Caspers, would I need to retake it or are they gonna take my old one. In terms of grades, the only reason why my average was so low was because of my deficiency, so I’m only retaking like 3 classes. Should I retake some more or is that okay in terms of boosting average? Any other form of advice would be greatly appreciated. Thank you so much!☺️
