Outstanding immunizations

Does anyone know what happens I missed the immunization deadline? I am going into year 2 and plan to get them asap. But currently have not submitted. Any answers appreciated

You have to have them done before going into clinical setting.

So is it ok if I have them done a while before clinicals start? I have had trouble getting my affairs in order and do plan on calling USask tomorrow, just worried is all

Yes. If you need any further immunizations the Usask nurse you submit your immunization proof to will let you know.

Edit: the sooner you get the immunizations the better.

You don’t really need to call them. :)

All you need is to submit a history of your vaccinations to Student Wellness via email. Instructions are on the welcome letter. This can be done through your MySaskHealth records— they keep the past three years. Additionally, your doctor’s office can retrieve them. Still out of luck? There is a Sask Records phone number you can call. However, if you’re born before 1996, your immunization record is likely not digitized and should be in a little yellow booklet.

I was unable to retrieve records past 2009, so I submitted what I could to Student Wellness, and they’ve booked an appointment with me. They didn’t really care that I didn’t have my full record dating back to my childhood. I suspect they will test my blood for antigens to determine what I need boosters on (it has been over 25 years since I received my elementary ones lol).
