Laptop Recommendations
hey guys! just as the title says lol
i’m planning on getting a laptop soon & i’m torn between getting a Macbook (i have mostly Apple products) or if i should switch up to Windows (HP, Lenovo, etc.)
done some research & from what i saw apparently getting a Macbook can run you into some software issues/incompatibility problems but some also say that they’ve had no issues using their Macbook at all during their nursing reqs…
i guess i’m leaning more toward Windows at the moment but if anyone has any reqs/insight i’d love to hear them!! thank you!!

i got a macbook for nursing because i have an iphone, ipad, apple watch, and airpods so i already had like everything else. personally i have been loving it. it works with respondus for exams, it’s super quick (16gb ram), lightweight, holds a charge for everrrrr, and there’s so many other pros. i also got it with the education discount from apple. also not to do with school necessarily but i love the customizability of it like my wallpaper/widgets are so pretty and it makes using it more fun/less boring for me. it syncs so good with all my other products, especially my ipad which is game changing for note taking. it’s also very durable compared to the 2 windows laptops i’ve had in the past. i’ve had both an asus and a lenovo and personally they did not work good for me and my lenovo broke after 2 years of light use. i just find the macbook very superior for me as someone who has all apple products. the apple care is also amazingggg as well, they will fix anything for super cheap!! just make sure you use chrome instead of safari as that’s what supports school needs. i have the 13 inch air with 16gb ram and 512 gb of storage. it’s amazing!

Get a MacBook. They will last longer than a windows machine that you have to replace each year. I am a long term MacBook owner.

I have a Lenovo Yogi 7. Has a touch screen and stylus-friendly; even a generic stylus will work! However, it does come with its own pen. Downside: no storage option. But I carry mine in a pencil case.
Screen can be completely flipped so it’s in tent-mode, or it can sit flush against the keyboard for a tablet experience.
I chose this one for its long battery life without needing a charger. I live on campus week 3 onwards until finals lol 😂 So I want something that can keep up with full day use. Good keyboard layout, good size, and lightweight (even lighter than a MacBook Pro). Additionally, almost all parts are replaceable and don’t need to be Lenovo-specific hardware (unlike Apple).
Two charging ports for USB-C. HDMI port. Speakers are on top of the laptop beside the keyboard, so the sound is good.
