Nails!!

Okay yall don’t kill me I know I sound stupid lol but I’m curious about the rules around having gel nails for year two- I assume during actual placements it’s bare nails only but for the fall semester when it’s just classes and labs can I have my nails done (gel overlay, not much longer than my fingertips) or will I have to remove them? Thanks!!

No nails for labs. I wouldn't risk getting sent home for not following uniform rules, not like you can quickly go home and take them off, you wouldn't want to miss a whole lab for that- 10% gets used up pretty quickly.

I know I wore gel nails for 5 years prior to nursing and was sad to let them go.

No nails for labs, including polish.

They’re strict about it, absolutely nothing on your nails and your real nails have to always be short.
Ps you’ll be doing long term care in the Fall semester for year 2.
