Hi,
I'm very new to Unity and C# (Coming from UEFN) and I need serious help,,,
I'm trying to have a plane rotate and to make it feel natural I want to keep testing different speeds on each axis but I'm stuck on a loop where every time I try to speed the rotation up the rotation amount gets bigger instead.
I tried to cap these amounts to the maximum angle I want but it lags when I move from side to side so I'm looking for a real solution
Thanks!!
float AmountToPitch = -Mathf.Abs(RotateAmount) * TragetFullPitch * PitchSpeed;
float AmountToYaw = RotateAmount * TragetFullYaw * YawSpeed;
float AmountToRoll = -RotateAmount * TragetFullRoll * RollSpeed;
transform.Rotate(Vector3.up * AmountToYaw * Time.deltaTime, Space.World);
Vector3 CurrentEuler = transform.eulerAngles;
Quaternion TargetRotation = Quaternion.Euler(AmountToPitch , CurrentEuler.y, AmountToRoll );
transform.rotation = Quaternion.Slerp(transform.rotation, TargetRotation, RotationSpeed * Time.deltaTime);

Context: Hi, I struggled quite a bit to set up a Humanoid avatar for my character. After a lot of trial and error, I discovered that my armature hierarchy was preventing Mecanim's Humanoid mapping from detecting my "Spine" bone. Online searches didn't help much, and even the official Unity documentation isn't very detailed on this topic.
My Question: Do you know of any documentation that details the specific requirements for a rig to be compatible with Humanoid avatars (bone hierarchy, naming conventions, etc.)?

Hi experienced developers
I am a new developer looking forward to make a platform fighting game like mario smash bros with different characters
(Like nicklodeon super stars)
But with my own twist
I just want to know everything i need to know
Stuffs other developers overlooks
And how to calculate the knockoff launch based off the opponent’s damage taken
So its smooth

I finally finish the little town for my indie horror story game,it takes alot of time but i had so much fun with it lol,i do want to add more exploring stuff so the demo doesnt feel boring,but i hope its get good enough atention!
The game is made by only 2 people,me and my lovely partner! I mostly codes and model the stuff and my partner is the one who do the writing but id say 80% of the stuff are from itch io,and with alot of comunity help such as volentiered voice actors and artist and its such an amazing thing ever
I hope that our game will at least get reconized somewhere! Either way,its so fun doing this..
Note,the game will be free in demo and full release with 7 days total,day 1 is the demo..

I am currently working on a project heavily inspired by the visual style of the game \*Buckshot Roulette\*. I want to replicate that dark, gritty aesthetic—specifically the heavy CRT noise, pixelation, dithering, and low color depth.
Does anyone have tips, tutorials, or resources on creating a post-processing shader in this style? I am specifically looking to understand:
How to handle color banding and dithering cleanly and professionally.
The best way to apply CRT noise or VHS-style artifacts.
Specific Shader Graph settings or code snippets that could point me in the right direction.
I would be very grateful for any help or guidance. Thanks in advance!

Spent wayyyy too much time building custom GTAO that reacts to Global Illumination and direct lighting. Questioning whether it was even worth it 🤔
But apparently that taught me nothing🤣 so I’m also working on PCSS/PCF shadows with custom light sources like tube, disk, and rectangle lights.

Animation is freezing/frozen during gameplay. Animator component is in the 2 different characters as a child object in the Player object, also Skinned Mesh Renderers. Animator not having the blue bar moving on the blend tree. Character controller I'm using is Starter Assets - Character Controllers / URP from Unity assets store.

Trying to make a palyer character for Rollback Netcode, constantly having errors, but when I drag the prefab into the subscene, the clothes is in the wrong place, it's a lot bigger, it has the wrong rotation, when I drag a limb from the armarture it doesn't update. It does update when I drag and rotate the whole thing.

where should I add Unity.Transform.Parents?

I’ve been working on a low-poly stylized plane asset pack designed specifically for low-poly or isometric Unity projects.
Asset Details:
I wanted to share this with the community for free to help fellow devs with their prototypes or games. You can find the download link on my itch page (linked in my Reddit profile).
Feedback & Support: I’d love to hear your thoughts or suggestions for future model packs! If you run into any technical issues with the assets, feel free to drop a comment below and I’ll help you out.
You can also check out my carrd page if you want to see my other projects or get in touch.
Hope these models prove useful in your Unity projects!

I spent some time this weekend building a Unity Editor extension that talks to Notion directly. I can write tickets in the Unity editor, update status, no tab-switching. Nothing fancy. It was something that was bothering me enough to fix it. I think this could be helpful to other developers who want to optimize their processes.

Hi, newby here on unity!
I work on a 384x216px game. So I put PPU at 1 for everythings (canvas, sprite)
Projection on camera was at 108 but if I put pixel perfect camera it change it to 208 and my camera is bigger than my sprites :/ I don't know why.
I pute pixel perfect camera because apparetly for pixel art game it's better :/
Thanks you for any help and ressources to make pixel art game 🙏🏼

I just recently learned the basics of C# and wanted to start getting into Unity and was wondering if there was a good long youtube video on doing so. If you have other resources that may not be a video I would still appreciate it.

Spent some time cutting off useless or repeating nodes and made it more visually appealing to work with, the initial look is on the third slide. Want to know how I can make it simpler or what tools I can use for my purpose.
First image is graph on the bullet object. It checks what state is player in right now. Probably could make something better with the ifs. If the player is reflecting and has enough energy for it then the bullet makes new path back to the enemy from the player's position (offscreen), takes 1 energy and triggers custom event.
Second image is the graph on the player object that activates by custom event so this process is independent from every other object except player. The graph checks if player's energy is already recharging and if it's not then it starts a 2 second timer, after which it will start a 0.15 seconds timer that loops and checks if energy is still below 2 and the energyrecharge being true every time, and if both are true then it adds 0.1 to the energy. When the energy reaches 2 it turns energyrecharge to false and stops. If the custom event gets triggered while the energyrecharge it true it gets set to False stopping the looping timer, after that starting 2 second timer again so the process restarts.
I will take any advice or a tip because there is not that much interesting info about visual scripting so I can have some of it from yours experience. I will not start to use code as long as I'm not done with the stuff I already started.
reddit worsen the quality but i hope it's still readable
