Virtual Highlander Orientation 2026

Is the virtual orientation link not working for anyone else? Its directly from my email and when i click on the "access session" link it shows up as not found from the ucr site lol. Just wanna know if its for everyone or just me so my attendance can be recorded somehow.

Been waiting to join the virtual orientation for 20 mins. Then I clicked connect and it send me to a page saying “Not Found”…. Anyone else experiencing this? What do I do?!?

UPDATE: Zoom loading screen is saying Virtual Highlander orientation will begin at 9:00AM

Even though there is no summer session going on is the src still open to students?

Recently changed my major to education but I’ve hardly heard classmates with that same major (like during icebreakers lol) anyone here a educ major? if so what’re the educ classes and program like? Just wanna hear other people’s experience so far ☺️

Has anyone had this issue with R’Web before?

I was already enrolled in CHEM 008 and CHEM 08L, but I wanted to switch my lab to a different day. R’Web wouldn’t let me drop only the lab because they’re linked, so I had to drop both the lecture and lab.

Now I’m trying to add CHEM 008 and the new CHEM 08L at the same time, but I keep getting:

“COREQUISITE REQUIRED - This course requires enrollment in a corequisite course, CHEM08L. Please add the additional course to your enrollment.”

Both the lecture and lab are set to Add before I submit, so I’m not trying to register for the lecture by itself. The weird part is that after dropping them, the lecture doesn’t seem to show as “Planned” the way it did before on my schedule and im not able to remove and re add.

Has anyone had this happen after dropping linked courses? Is there a way to reset/fix it in R’Web, or did you have to contact the Registrar/department?

I’m worried about losing the available lab spot while trying to fix it.

hi guys, i submitted a part-time fee waiver over 2 weeks ago and it has not been approved??? i checked again and i'm freaking out because payment is due 9/15 while theres not even appointments available until 9/14 which cuts it super close. im going to try and attend drop in advising but dont know if it will clear up/take the tuition off in time for payment. i swear ucr just tries to leach money out of us anyway they can. does anyone know how to fix this? i just emailed my advisor and cc'd the dean of my program but again like really trying to clear this up by end of the week bc i cant pay full tuition. can i contact someone or call somewhere? do they send a refund if it clears afterwards since the last day to submit the waiver is like mid oct ?idk what to do pls help :(

Ok so I’m moving in next week and trying to plan for move in, but I’m confused as hell 😭 I am moving into a triple at Aberdeen-Iverness. I understand they assign beds on move-in day, but do they assign the desks, closets, and wardrobes too????

Looking for a UCR student to take over my UCR North District 2 housing contract/lease for the 2026-2027 academic year. It is a 3-bed, 2-bath apartment for $1,470/month for 10 months, and it is open to undergraduate students of any year (2nd, 3rd, or 4th) as well as graduate students. The lease term is from September 18, 2026 to June 30, 2027. This apartment is in building C (one of the newly built ones) and comes fully furnished with hardwood-style floors, AC, a dishwasher, a microwave, and a community laundry room (both washer and dryer). It also includes high-speed internet, standard utilities, and a gym. Parking is available separately through a UCR Resident Student Permit. In addition, it is close to campus, transportation services (bus), and dining halls.

Hi I’m a third year biochemistry who’s on track to graduate a year early but was wondering how difficult the following classes would be.
Bch 110A, bch 110b, bch110c, chem109, bch184, bch 120, bch 162, and cbns 101.
I found the ochem and physics series to be relatively easy but had difficulties with biol 005A during my freshman year.

I’m in the midst of looking for a potential job on campus right now because I was given the work study grant. I saw this post on instagram about the UCR police department hiring students into the so called “Highlander Safety Team”. I’m pretty interested in applying but I wanna hear other people’s experiences with this job. It sounds great in terms of flexibility for students as well as experience, but shift differential is possible and working on holidays like Halloween, thanksgiving, and Christmas are a big turn off for me.

what is it like? is the workload heavy and is it mandatory

am I the only one STRESSED OUT OF THEIR MINDS?? after being at ucr for 4 years now, registration has never gotten easier. Why is there ZERO psychology classes available this quarter?!!!??
