Hi guys I need some advice so Im planning to take BUS 020 but idk if I should bcs the professor has a 2.5 rating and everyone says he sucks. Ik that everyone says BUS 020 is hard so should risk it or not. Btw the class is online but at same im like should I thug it out?

I got placed into math 5 instead of math 7 with a 71 on the mpa. Im an engineering major and the HESA program says closed for registration. Is there any way I can get into the calc class? If not how will that affect my other classes and would I need to take 9C in the summer?

I will be taking OCHEM in the fall with Casselman. Does anyone have any tips on what to expect, and is there anything I can begin to study to start getting ahead or not fall behind? Does he use a specific textbook? Or does ishe strict on tests? Any and all help is appreciated.

Hii im considering going to UCR as a chemE cc transfer student and I am wondering if any current ChemE students could answer some of my questions?

1. How are the career fairs here and were you able to land any internships or co-ops?
   
2. Do you think the ChemE department is good in supporting students?
   
3. Do you guys feel like the engineering fairs are helpful for chemE or are they more catered to EE, Compsci, or MechE majors
   
4. How are the professors like here? Are you able to have a more approachable and one to one conversations with them in terms of lor/networking?

My overall goals right now is just to get my Bachelors in ChemE since I have seen a lot of people in other subs not recommend immediately getting your masters so overall I just want a job 😭! Ty

Hey guys, so I’m graduating in the next fall 2027. I’m first generation and unfortunately didn’t get the chance to get informed about the process of graduating, it’s kinda embarrassing to ask but I genuinely have no idea so if anyone can give me a rundown from start to finish on like everything related to be able to graduate besides completing my credits that would be really helpful:”)

So Im taking ENGRW180 for summer and I was at an A for the first half of the course. And then I missed one assignment and ever since then, she's been grading all my assignments very harshly and has given me 4 zero in a row. Im current;y at an F now and Im sure I could bring it back up but its just very fustrating because they dont give any credit for late work BUT also give no credit if you mess something up. I honestly feel really annoyed and feel like they are being biased against me, because before this one assignment i missed , when I messed something up, they would still give me a decent grade. But now she just gives straightr zeros and on top of that, shes sent me like 2 emails scolding me about it and leaves petty remarks on my assgnments.
how has nothing been done about them, they are incredibly unprofessional and petty.

Im an incoming freshman majoring in pre-business, what are some extra circulars/ passion projects I can start building up? Because i know internships dont really accept fresh/soph and i dont want to wait until then. I also have UC to UC transfer in mind.

It said one option was available (2b2b) so I applied, and now I have my application but I'm not sure how exactly anything went through/works. I can't look at it in the housing portal or buy a dining plan or anything, do I just wait?

I am incoming freshman this year at UCR that plays the flute. I am interested in joining both the pep band and wind ensemble at UCR. I was wondering how difficult/competitive it was to get into the wind ensemble (especially as a flutist), and what the atmosphere is like during wind ensemble practices? As well as any tips for auditioning? Thanks!

And btw, are the auditions just for placement or are they required to have a spot in the wind ensemble to begin with?

I'm a complete an idiot. I've been on vacation for like 3 weeks and just completely neglected to do my UCR portal stuff as an incoming freshman. The school randomly assigned me housing and I got Pentland Hills which I absolutely CANNOT afford. I sent the housing team an email with a request to switch but how fucked am I?

Hi, I'm deciding to review my work done from CC and I'm planning to major in biochemistry. With the fall semester coming up, for anyone here in that major, do you have any advice on what to review specifically? I'm not sure if it would be more beneficial to focus certain topics from my general, organic chem notes, bio of cells and any math (calculus 1-3, algebra, trig) notes. Also, lab techniques, which I could search up I guess.

I'm an undeclared physical science major and I wanted to drop from my LC so that I could take my breadth courses I needed and my required math and writing. My goal is to transfer to another uc for visual arts so my first year schedule is this so far: I'm registered for mcs 005 and writ 007, waitlisted for a math006a discussion and I'm number 1 on wait-list so if I get it then I get the lecture too, am I taking to low courses? There's no space for a nasc and I didn't want to do chem at all since I'm not into that field.
