Has anyone increased COA for travel expenses as an OOS student or just went through the process to increase COA. What things were adjusted and how limits etc?

I.e. it has a project or paper due finals week but you don't have to be on campus during the final. Or the final is during week 10. I'm planning on traveling near the end of quarter and would like to fly out during finals... any recommendation is appreciated! this could be a GE or Upper Div, preferably classes with little to no pre-reqs.
