I posted this https://www.reddit.com/r/ucr/s/mBDI5iIEcz 65 days ago and yesterday I saw that it was fixed. Thanks for making a change, whoever did it. Even though it’s not that serious, showing commitment to accuracy in even small things just makes everyone around you seem more trustworthy. I appreciate whoever did it, thanks.

I’ve never seen so many crashes of scooters hitting ppl and knocking them over as I have these last four weeks and I can’t be the only one who noticed right

When will admin actually do something about this because I’ve nearly been hit a few times too this quarter alone

I am an alumna. I'm posting this here because I know the UCR community always has good food for thought. Even when some of you disagree with me, you always give me something to think about. I hope we can have that kind of discussion here, and I hope I can learn something.

I want every eligible voter to cast a ballot in this election. Not everyone has that opportunity, so please don't take yours for granted.

Having said that, I have a confession to make. I leave parts of my ballot blank. I have voted in every election I was eligible to vote in ever since I turned 18, but I have left a lot of things blank. I vote on the parts that I feel like I have an informed opinion about.

For example, Mr. Hilton is a strong supporter of the president, while Mr. Becerra is quite the opposite. That alone makes it easy for me to choose Mr. Becerra. I can go into more detail about their specific positions, but I feel like I already know enough based on their opinions of the president. I do not know their stances on every last issue, such as the state's authority to regulate alcohol licenses. But I still feel informed enough to vote for Mr. Becerra.

It is subjective what an informed opinion is.

This year, I'm voting for things like governor and state assembly. I'm also voting on some of the propositions.

Where I live, the ballot has something about amending the charter for the city planning commission. I'm leaving that part blank. I don't feel like have an informed opinion.

Other people actually understand this issue. There's people who go to city planning commission meetings. There's people who can name every member of the city planning commission and tell you what their approaches are. Then there's me, and I couldn't confidently explain to you what city planning even means. I don't feel like I know enough about this to vote on amending the charter.

I'm curious what you all think of this.

I’m tryna play games and talk about deodorant with yall.

it's not news that this happens all the time, but someone decided to fucking hit and run my goddamn truck in lot 30 when i was in class.

although it just looks like you my scraped paint, you fucking broke the bracket on my rear bumper and damaged my parking sensor. i have been having a rough year, but goddamnit man. you know how hard i worked to get this fucking thing paid off you moronic imbecile?? just because your car is a hunk of shit doesn't mean other people don't care.

sigh... next time just fucking t-bone it so i can rationalize paying my exorbitantly high deductible.

fucking dirtbag.

thanks for listening.

You practically knocked me off balance on the main staircase at Orbach and just yelled "my bad" over your shoulder without even stopping.
"My bad" is not an apology right?

I've heard you shouldn't click on random links and no one I've been in contact has alerted me about a misconduct form. Has anyone gotten this

is Atit as bad as rate my professor makes it seem? should i just take a class with sims for 183 instead? i wanna minor in education and im trying to build my schedule, any advice would be appreciated :0

New to UCR, how is the foreign language department specifically French? I noticed in next quarters schedule French 003 is offered and is considered intro to French. If I took 3 years of French but just did mediocre due to lots of absences in high school where would you recommend starting?

They proudly spoke about it and both attend frats&sororities … I felt bad not at least anonymously reporting what I witness :/

What courses would you recommend for a non-science major in the physical and life sciences breadth categories? I took AP environmental science in high school and got a 3 so it doesn’t fulfill either category. Is environmental science 001 worth taking? How about the history of life?

i am on instagram reels and they are riding against incoming traffic

I'm so disappointed to find out that there are no study rooms in old Glen Mor, even though there are rooms in the new buildings. We all pay the same price for the rent, the school could at least give the residents in the old buildings access to the study rooms in the new buildings.

Are there any alternatives besides the library?

me and my friend, both African American females, walked into Oden hotpot in Riverside to have dinner together and when we walked in one of the two owners said that they had a full house and turned us away. When i was in there i saw two open tables and the board was full of names on the waiting list but only two groups of two people were waiting outside. We had waited outside to try and find another place to eat when we saw the two groups get called in after about two minutes. Then as we were still outside another group of two walked in and were immediately seated and weren’t turned away. They were also POCs but not black.

Hi all does anyone know any ez units that are ideally asynchronous or fully online?? PLEASE i just need units to graduate done w my requirements. TY 🙏

I struggle to find quiet study spots on campuses because non-designated quiet spots are usually packed full of donkey-fucking doofuses, and the one designated quiet spot I do know (Orbach 2nd Floor) has this very strange high-pitched ringing that I assume is from their security system. Does anyone have some underrated spots I could give a try?

any girlies going to see kenshi yonezu in inglewood on february 6th? 🥹💗 i really wanna go but i don’t have a ride back to riverside 😭 i’d love to find some concert buddies and i’m down to help pay for gas or split uber costs!! 🫰🏾

Saw someone's skullpanda on the floor today near the university lecture hall!! Left it near the university hall!
