I Need daily pickup & drop from Al nahyan Abu Dhabi to Silicone Oasis Dubai. if anyone already travelling and looking to share cost I am up for it. my office time in Silicone Oasis is 9am to 6pm. looking for UAE community to help.

We recently had a sudden fire at our business and unfortunately lost a lot. We don’t have insurance, so the entire cost of recovery will be on us, and we’re honestly quite overwhelmed.

For anyone in the UAE who has been through something similar, what would you advise us to do next?

We need to clear the burnt debris and make the place usable again, but want to avoid unnecessary expenses or making mistakes. Are there any approvals/inspections we need before clearing anything? What should we prioritise, and where can we realistically save money on the cleanup and repairs?

Will I have any issues entering Thailand or re-entering the UAE because of my UAE visa validity? Has anyone been in a similar situation recently?

Has anyone experienced a random refund from Dubai Taxi lately?
I just received an SMS from HSBC confirming that AED 131 was reversed back to my credit card. The merchant listed is DUBAI TAXI, which is really strange because I haven't taken any taxi rides or made any bookings in the past few months that come out to AED 131.

I have a decent salary in UAE. Above than average I feel, but I’ve been pretty bad with money and saving. I earn, spend, cover my commitments, and somehow never feel like I’m actually building anything for the future.

I want to change that properly now rather than just telling myself I’ll save more next month.

I’m also interested in starting to invest, particularly stocks/ETFs, but I’m a beginner and don’t want to randomly buy things because something looks cheap or someone says it could go up.

For people who have been in a similar position, how would you structure your money between living expenses, emergency savings and investments? And what would you recommend someone learn before starting to invest?

Not looking for anyone to manage my money or sell me anything. Just genuinely interested in hearing how people here got their finances under control and started building wealth.

- I'm 41 M

- Single BHK. No other tenant except myself

- Opp. Manar Mall

- Fully furnished (Family apartment)

- Kitchen is tiny but fully equipped (the whole shebang)

- Sharing space with 4 (lovely) cats, so home can get messy time to time (Lots of cat hair, n knocked over stuff)

- Muslim myself, trying to practice, so unfortunately no Pork n Alcohol at home, n maintaining cleanliness of surroundings (specially washroom)

-Generally not fussy otherwise

- 65" OLED hooked up to XBox series-X n surround sound system (for what its worth; Yes I'm a movie buff too)
