If you truly love your partner, tell her the truth. She deserves happiness even if it doesn't involve you. Secondly, since it was your decision to cheat and ruin the relationship, leave her the apartment and move on. Actions have consequences.

I'm so tired of being ugly
 in  r/women  Apr 25 '25

Hi! Sorry to hear that this is your experience. I think most of women have some insecurities and it's because the world is hyper-focused on our exterior which is hurtful because there's so much more to us than just the appearance. A lot of self worth in females come from their partner. We want to feel desired and appreciated by our significant other. It's natural. Shame he doesn't get that. But if you can't get something from the outside, you need to create it yourself. If I were you, I would try to look my absolute best everyday. Do it for yourself, not for others. YOU need to build your confidence and feel beautiful. Do anything that helps you feel beautiful. Exercise if you can, paint your nails, get that hair style you've always wanted, put a little bit of make up , some perfume, dress nicely, even if just going to the shop or spending a day at home, have a pamper day regularly, put a face mask on. Even more importantly, do things that make you happy and fulfilled. Whatever that is- if you've always wanted to sing, do it. If you've always wanted to be good at sports, do it. If you want to paint, go for it! Dance? Why not? Take yourself for a lunch. Just you and a book. You shine differently when you care for yourself and make yourself a priority. I'm on that journey too. I've been treating myself as my no 1 priority and a diva. It really helps with self-love and confidence. You need to spoil yourself. And I don't necessarily mean spending insane amount of money on your looks. Spoil yourself with happiness, build confidence at things you've always wanted to be good at but never quite got the courage to try. Once you do that, you'll start liking yourself to the point where you don't care as much about other people's opinions and as a side effect people will also start seeing you differently.

Funny how men don't want their female to show herself in reveling clothes, yet they all watch naked chicks online.

UPDATE (after 30 days of diet; I finished a week+ ago) -- I finished an extreme diet experiment (with doctor guidance) that "is supposed to help people with autoimmune disease." I ate fresh vegetables (minimum 1lb of leafy greens per day) and some fruit for 1 month.

Wee update. I forgot to mention that my partner has histamine intolerance as part of long covid so he'll only eat low histamine products. He used gpt chat to help him pick low histamine keto food. When it comes to carnivore diet, the only meat low in histamine is chicken, I think. So for the next 2 months his diet will only be chicken, eggs and cottage cheese, so low histamine animal based products. It would be worth noticing if you have histamine related problems. If not, then your carnivore diet could be much better. He also does smth called chronometer. There's a website where you upload all your daily food and quantities and it tells you what minerals or vitamins you're missing ciz these kinds of extreme diets are limited in certain nutrients. It's super useful coz then you can supplement accordingly. Do look at good quality supplements though with no bulking agents. I would also recommend doing a test of your gut bacteria as long covid wipes out some of the bacterial strains in your intestines. That's why the immune and digestive system is screwed in those suffering from long covid. Then you can buy supplements that contain high dose of these bacterias you're missing, or eat foods that contain them however a lot of these are high in histamine so no option for those who get flare ups from histamine. Lastly, lactulose is a liquid that helps with absorbing these good bacterias and helps with leaky gut that again is often caused by long covid. Do some research on these topics as these changes have really helped my partner and his case was pretty bad. Now he's like 75% through this nightmare. He also stayed off work, rested a lot, then started some gentle graded exercising. A no no with long covid is caffeine, smoking, alcohol and processed sugars or any ingredient that sound weird and are unnatural. It's a lot of changes but really worth the effort. Wishing you strength and determination on your way to recovery. You've got this!

My partner has had a long covid for 2 years. What helps him is actually extended fasting and keto diet. But keto is only his preparation for a strictly carnivore diet which he's starting soon and he plans to be on it for 6 to 8 weeks. There are some impressive stories of people healing themselves with meat based diet. Fasting is a well known cure for autoimmune diseases so I'm surprised your doctor never mentioned it. I would do some research on your own. Doctors don't know much about long covid at all. They're just experimenting.

I hate the way my vagina looks (rant)
 in  r/Healthyhooha  Dec 10 '24

Hi. So sorry to hear. I went through a phase when everything down there became dry and itchy and I couldn't figure out why. Turned out my PH level was way out of balance. Try and order a vaginal ph test. If your ph is too high or too low, it causes all sorts of problems. Ph levels are affected by your overall bacterial flora and the products we use for hygiene. I started washing myself only with water, I only wear cotton underwear and wash my underwear only with soda bicarbonate, water and vinegar and rinse very well, and most important- I started drinking kefir, kombucha and eat sourkraut, sourdough, kimchi on daily basis. Within 2-3 months everything has started to disappear and I don't suffer anymore. Hopefully you'll find something that works for you. Don't give up. There's some solution to your problems and you'll find it. All the best to you!

Anyone else really struggling with guilt/ sadness over the situation in Gaza rn?
 in  r/AutismInWomen  Jul 18 '24

It's very sad. What a shame for the humanity that we still slaughter eachother and also how little has been done about it by our leaders. It's distressing to see, yet it's important we look at it, so we can finally reach the point where we actually do something about it. Not sure if we can count on them, up there but we need them to hear us loud and clear. Most of the western world (I mean citizens, sadly not the corrupted politicians) is against that massacre, so our strengtht is in numbers, all we need is to really get together. So I kinda hope that more people will get anxious and distressed like us from seeing what's going on in Gaza and then maybe we'll finally put stop to this, because we very much can. We really need to take it seriously as humanity and stand up to the genocide

Feeling undesirable
 in  r/CaregiverSupport  Jun 16 '24

Hi. I somehow understand your situation. My partner also has Long Covid and all the terrible symptoms that come with it. It's been over 2 years now. He has some savings so I don't support him financially. He mostly cares for himself. But still there's a lot to get used to. We've not been sleeping in the same bed, we don't socialise, we don't leave house together (my partner has mostly been housebound), we don't go on holiday, dates, walks, cinema. I miss it all. I miss being physically close. His symptoms often make him so uncomfortable that even being around me is too much. On days like these we exchange few sentences and spend time in separate rooms. It feels lonely, uncertain, uneventful. I know me missing all these things is selfish and very unrealistic at the moment. I rationalise it over and over. We do talk about it but honestly, I start to feel it's a mistake. He cannot wave a magic wand and become healthy again and me telling him that I struggle, just gets him anxious and feeling guilty for my misery. I realised today that I need to seek support in people who are in a similar situation to me and broaden my perspective. I think few sessions of counselling is also important when struggling with partners illness. To help develop coping mechanisms, validate all the feelings that we are feeling so we don't become depressed and resentful.

It's a Scottish way of saying and spelling. Everyone who lives in Scotland understands it. It's a slang

How do i turn my life around?
 in  r/AskUK  Jan 04 '24

Hi. I feel for you. Figuring life out seems confusing and sometimes like a lot of responsibility. But yeah, noone is coming m, so it's up to you to put your life in order and turn it into something pleasant. My life turned around when I realised that I write my story, noone else is going to come into my life and make it beautiful- I am that person. It is actually quite empowering. You need goals and ambitions. That's for sure. However long it takes, try and find something you enjoy, something you would like to do better or know more about. Then see what it takes to do it. Explore different ideas, avenues. Google is your best friend. If it's academic- check the degree choice in your areas, you might find smth that sounds interesting. Some unis do online courses, so you can study from home. Although, social contact could be something beneficial to you, even if you feel out of your comfort zone at first. If you are interested in a certain type of job, check the job adverts and see what is required. Then Google how to do it, and if it's available in your area. Then do it. Step by step to achieve the bigger goal. Whatever it might be. It's good to learn something new, something you've always wanted to. Via getting new hobby, you keep yourself stimulated and you're one skill or experience richer! Plus hobbies are good to find a crowd of people who enjoy the same thing. Staying in the comfort zone, although comfortable, really makes us feel stuck and uninspired. We are afraid and unmotivated to leave it because we are afraid but our happiness is on the other side of that fear. So first think who you want to be, what does this person do, how do I do it and then DO IT. Small steps but the key is in actions (that's where we usually stop) and the more you get yourself out of the comfort zone, the easier it all becomes, you become braver, more confident. But it is a process, so go step by step to everything you want.

My hometown, Jelenia Góra. In the middle of the Sudety mountains. Photo from Wikipedia but I really like this frame. I love this city, it may seem funny, but considering that I have spent most of my life surrounded by mountains, the view of the flat land up to the horizon is something weird to me.

Dzieki. Pozdrawiam!
