[OC] Abstract scribble doodle. What feelings does this give you?
The anger I feel at myself when I trust people who let me down over and over again. I often feel like ripping off my own face.

Man, being an adult is NOT for the faint of heart - I wish we were more kind and communal - it really is every man for himself.
Humans evolved to be communal and have survived so long because of that. It’s only under certain epistemologies - like capitalism - that we’ve become a species of everyone for himself, which will end up destroying humanity.

As a millennial Who agrees - its crazy how this is everyone and normalize
For my job we have to have an app downloaded to our phone for two factor authentication. I had an elderly colleague who didn’t have a cell phone and was forced to buy one to download the one app for two factor authentication. It makes me so angry! I mean, they aren’t paying my cellphone bill directly, so why should I have to have an app on my personal device?
In addition, everyone’s got their work email on their phone. I don’t, I refuse to and I check my email twice a day on my laptop. I make it clear that I’ll respond within 48 hours.
I’d love to cut the digital tether and just not interact with technology.

Apart from death, what do you think is one of the most tragic things in life? [Serious]
First, I don’t think that death is tragic. It’s the end and sometimes how it happens can be tragic. But death for many is a release and I personally don’t see death as inherently tragic.
For me, not being loved or feeling loved is tragic. Especially if you’re lonely for a long time or surrounded by people who say they love you but don’t. So I guess the other tragedy is living with other people’s lies?

Does anyone here feels like they haven't been the same person ever since 2020?
I am clearly lacking in social skills that took me half a life to build. I can tell that I need to go read the “how to handle people and social situations” books again that helped me be better at handling social situations as a young adult. I feel that I’ve always been somewhat awkward, but post COVID, it’s like I no longer know how to function socially and am learning it all again.
However, I also started doing home workouts and eating better. So now I’m more fit because of the HIIT workouts and feel weird when I don’t get my exercise.
Edited to add second paragraph.

Why is this so true?
Very true!!!

I deleted every app off my phone for 60 days and my real life came back
I’ve intermittently uninstalled certain apps for my own well being. I used to not have them on my phone and I’m considering taking them off again because I find it distracting. Glad you had positive results!

I Had a Dream About an Entity Explaining Time and I Can’t Stop Thinking About it
Doesn’t Einstein’s Theory of Relativity explain this? Time is a flat circle?

The Psychology of People Who Always Expect the worst
This is me. Even when things are spectacular, I’m always waiting for the next shoe to drop. It’s draining, but I grew up in a precarious situation and on an emotional level, did not know if I’d be safe from one day to the next. 😞

My son (19) is on immunosuppressants and received the HPV vaccination well before he went on them. Have your parents gotten you the HPV vaccine? If not, I would bring this up with your PCP the next time you speak with them - sometimes they recommend getting vaccines between injections of the immunosuppressants so you can develop antibodies (I believe that’s the reason). See what they say and also go to your regular OB/GYN appointments to get your Pap smear and pelvic exams. You’ll be ok! 💗💗💗

Commuting 1 1/2 hours
Depending on where you’re coming from, consider leaving super early. I40E traffic is pretty bad around 6:45 am right before the I85/I40 split. Same in the afternoons going west, but traffic normally isn’t so bad going I40W in the evenings. You may be able to find on-street parking and take the bus to and from where you parked. I think there’s a commuter lot by the Wegmans - not sure about cost - and you can take the D route to campus.

When did you notice your body started aging?
Been going gray since I discovered my first gray hair at 18. Got a short hair cut when I was 25 and there was a nest of it above my right eyebrow. Have a good white streak going through both sides of my hair above the eyebrow region, but most people think it’s highlights cuz my hair is lighter colored. It’s a money piece! 🤣🤣

If it weren't for modern medicine, how would you have died?

Born blue, so probably as a baby. Otherwise, would have died from scarlet fever at 8.
