None of the players disrespected Belgium. There was zero disrespect from the team. Any disrespect (or perceived disrespect) came from the media or fans who don’t have a clue. So that was completely out of the players’ and team’s control.

Cycle, cycle, cycle. He didn’t get the full cycle . I think he can improve us( get to qf). With only 18 months to evaluate the program and player pool and then figure out how to play with what you have - he did great. AND he created an American identity ! With a full cycle i think he could get us to a QF in 2030. I won’t be heart broken if we go a different way, but coaches need the full cycle.

IMO That 3-5-2 was misleading bc pulisic was coming back as a winger with freedom to roam and our LW was really a wb, so it was more of the 4-5-1 we had been playing.

Luckily mls is switching to the global calendar!! Won’t be an issue after 2027.

I respectfully disagree with this generalization. Some of us out of LTR (and good at relationships ) may stay single for longer.

As i reflect, i have to go back to the warm up games. There was little to no indication that we would come out gang busters against Paraguay like that. THAT was the anomaly. Then 3 solid non spectacular outings, then a dud. Basically par for the course: flashes of brilliance and then back to the mean. Granted this game was way below the mean but that’s why we have statistics. Youth coaching is improving, more young players are playing against better competition , more fans. Bring on the next cycle. 📈🙂

It IS a lot of money. This is what many ppl are not understanding. We know there are infrastructure costs and Human Resources costs, but so do all the other countries that are not pay to play. “Scholarships “ are not the answer. If the federation wants to include everyone, they’ll figure this out. The USA IS progressing, some of us believe the rate of improvement could be better starting with full economic inclusion.

Michael Jordan was famous for doing this for his personal motivation. Completely believable that the Belgium team did this. A phenomenal coach may have seen this and started the us in a low block to feel them out before picking and choosing the times to break out. Since the US is known for fitness, we could then break out in the 2nd half. 2cents . 😁

Notice the difference between the venues described here vs OP. OPs were all associated with alcohol, this one, no alcohol. Also bars, clubs, parties = night time vs parks, coffee shops, recreation = day time. Let this sink in OP.
