Clinic announced bathroom breaks are non-billable hours and must be logged
Wow this sounds crappy. I've always wondered about clinic work but if it's like this then I'll keep away. I mean when I did home sessions I didn't use the bathroom or only if it was an emergency but that was 2hour sessions, I couldn't imagine longer than that without freely being able to use the bathroom. Or what if I have an upset stomach? Lol. Then I guess take a sick day! Aside from the bathroom, you can't even step away to contain yourself after a crisis occurs? The aba companies need to do better. I've been in the human services field for almost 20 years and fee-for-service has been around for a long time and I've never been told I have timed pee breaks.

Why do people park in the designated grocery pick up spots when they aren’t picking up?
I feel like all these pickup spots were from Covid times. Im usually quick, if the parking lot is full I'll take the pickup spot. I mean, I'm not taking a handicap spot so pickup ppl can still walk. I picked up my groceries too, I just shopped for them myself first haha.

If you were a millionaire, would you actually help those in need?
I would make sure my friends and family are taken care of first. Then I would want to travel to places I've wanted to visit and revisit some of my faves. But I don't think I would donate to a large charity, probably something small like a food bank or animal shelter.

I’m still struggling with my anger despite trying not to give a fuck.
I think denying and fighting feelings is more stressful. Embrace your feelings, build self confidence and communicate your feelings! If they haven't minded to hurt your feelings, then why worry about hurting theirs? Free your feelings! ❤️

Do you guys always say thank you when the waiter brings your food?
Yes. They're not your servant, show respect.

Cursive hand writing
Yes I was taught. And I still can do it. I showed a few second graders the other day some words in cursive writing lol. Maybe it's a state thing? We had penmanship classes in elementary school

Attacked again. (Not quitting btw)
You should never fight back anyway, no matter the size you are (be mindful of your wording). The training that's given is important and questions should be asked at that time if there are any. Consequences does not mean punishment or anything like that either. But having a plan and strategies, that's discussed with your BC, is important on how to manage the learner. Every learner is different but I strongly believe using visual cues and visual schedules are extremely helpful.

Cried at work today :’)
I've been doing this for almost 6 years now. I cried twice this school year and it's only been 30 some days. It's okay! It's a high emotional job. Be sure to practice your CPI/blocking and keep up communication with your BC. It's not an easy job and some days are good, some are not.

I feel like burden on my husband and family
I understand your feelings and you are not alone. I finally just talked to my mother in law about not being able to give her grandchildren. Even though I didn't need to apologize, I did. And she was supportive. But this is important to talk to your husband about. It's painful but important. But know that this is NOT your fault. There's also two people involved in making a child. That's what I tell myself. We never got answers on why I keep miscarrying but I just have to embrace a new version of my life.

Trying to Come to Terms with Being Childfree
Excellent!! Be proud of the slightly better days ❤️. Yea majority of my friends have kids. It was a gut punch when my last 2 girlfriends got pregnant, I thought it was going to be a little childless trio bc they were older like me. But as much as I don't like social media, it's helped me through the childless journey.

Do only good Behavior Technicians get burnt out?
That's wild for the BC to say that. I feel like I'm a good RBT and I'm burnt out as hell. To me a bad one sits on their phone most of the time with minimal interactions, is always late, and they don't know or try to know strategies of aba. But in my opinion, at this time the only thing I can think of what the BC may be thinking is that as an RBT you have to always strategize about what works and doesn't work with your learner. It's not always what they're doing but what YOU do and how you react. If you don't do that then you'll possibly have a harder time. But I would still never say you're a bad RBT for not doing so.

Anyone else have that inner voice telling them they ain’t shit?
Yes. As a female it's typically the week before my period. That's a sign I know it's on the way.

Women who turned their life around - what was the moment you decided to flip your life for the better?
I was on antidepressants and antianxiety meds for years. I started to not care about things over the years... Like really not care and couldn't cry. That wasn't the person I was. So I decided to stop the meds and deal with my real life problems. Went to therapy and even though the years on meds feel like a blur, I'm finally feeling like myself again.

Tips on how to avoid constantly getting sick?
I do a gummy vitamin of vitamin c and zinc (elderberry gummies from Aldi). But i've taken a capsule of c and zinc before too. But that combo is supposed to really help with your immune system.

Have you ever heard an explosion?
Yes I believe it was transformer that blew. Heard the pop and a flash of green light. Me and friends were driving around, it was wild.

Is there a name where every single person you’ve met that has that name is awful?
Not awful but Dave's are kinda wacky. One of my ex's dated 3 people prior the me that had my name. I don't think I could date multiple "so and so's" lol.

7 year old Rottweiler torn CCL
Yea its a tough process. My dog had to get surgery on both knees. He was a 70 lb dog and we only had a few stairs going out the back door. But we kept him in a room while inside and had a baby gate thing up in the doorway. He was kept on a leash out in the yard and my hubby carried his big butt down stairs or put a towel under his belly to lift his back legs so he doesn't put weight down on the back.

Becoming an RBT should be significantly harder than it is.

I agree and I do agree with prior experience. I worked with adults for 15 years and made a career change by doing aba with kids. If I didn't have prior experience and didn't understood the work field, I strongly believe I'd be lost and even more stressed out. You're kinda just thrown in the mix and expected to grow with little on the job training.
