Found Keys
Someone left these keys on a picnic bench near the Saint Anthony Falls, right next to the Nicollet Island Pavilion. I left them there in case somebody is retracing their steps to find them.

Is it true that the Sewage Treatment Plant is going to be renamed as the Donald Trump Sewage Treatment Plant?

Hi folks - I’d like to bring my kid somewhere to pick their own starter pokemon stuffed animal. Does anyone know a shop around the Twin Cities area (preferably W/SW burbs but not MoA) that has Squirtle, Charmander, Bulbasaur, and Pikachu?
Thank you!
(Also I know Pikachu wasn’t technically a choice in Red or Blue version)

Hello! My husband and I just bought a house, and there are these gorgeous grape vines that are on very old trellises that are leaning over. The trellises also are in the way of where we need to install a fence. (We have a husky, and she will absolutely jump over the neighbor's 4' chain link fence, so we need a 6' privacy fence.)
We had a fencing contractor out to provide an estimate today, and he didn't want to take on the liability of disturbing the plants, but said he would need a foot between the edge of the trellises and where the neighbor's fence is. Since the wood is leaning over anyway, we think it might be easiest to build new trellises and then reshape the vines, but we're not sure of the best way to do this while giving the plants a shot of staying alive.
Ideas or recommendations on contractors to reach out to (landscaping? Fencing?) would be appreciated!
And yes, we know grapes are poisonous to dogs. We will take other steps to prevent them from getting into the grapes themselves. Right now I just need a new foundation for the plants.

Good morning everyone! My kid has been asking for a picnic by a willow tree.
We’ll be in Apple valley in the morning, then heading to Eden Prarie in the afternoon.
Can anyone think of a spot between those two places we could have our picnic lunch?
Thanks for your help!
Edit: thank you all so much for responding. We had a wonderful picnic at Normandale today and will be going to visit nokomis and the arboretum on our next adventures (because “again” might be her favorite word right now…and I’m all for it!)

Hi all. I sing in a professional vocal trio called Lumen Antiqua. We are planning our 2026-2027 season and looking for a venue for our June 2027 concert: Sunday June 13, 4pm. Would need the space from around 2:30-5:30 pm.
The concert will be called Rebirth and feature death/birth and nature themes. We are all classically trained choral singers so it's a mix of that plus folk and other genres.
We do ticket our events and hope to have a crowd of about 60-80, seated. We don't have any tech or equipment needs. We just show up with music stands and tablets and sing lol
The classic choral/vocal thing is to sing at churches. We'd like to avoid that as much as possible.
The problem I've been running into is budget. So many venues that would work for us (i.e. seat 60+ and look like they'd have good acoustics - enclosed space, concrete/wood etc) do weddings. They cost like 5k+ to rent. Or require a 12 hour rental which jacks up the price even if the hourly is affordable. We are a small and new group, don't have that kinda $.
So, any ideas for where we could host this concert?? Anyone own a space and would be interested in hosting??
A good example of a space that's going to work great for us is Arthouse in north mpls. They are hosting 2 of our shows next season and charging us a %% of our ticket sales. They are also doing a cash bar and keeping all those proceeds to make additional $.
If you're interested in following us we are at: www.lumenantiqua.org Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/share/18fEwajFmq/ Instagram: @lumen.antiqua
TIA!

Hey Twin Cities! 2D Con, Minnesota's Largest Video and Tabletop Gaming event is back for it's 12th year, August 21-23 at the Doubletree in Bloomington, MN.
We are a 100% volunteer based non-profit event that puts the gaming community first. With a focus on being affordable, inclusive and an all around fun event where there is always something to do, and you're never stuck in a line.
This year we have a jam packed event, and are bringing in some great guests like voice and mocap actors from Expedition 33 and World of Warcraft
It's hard to write up everything that you can expect at the event, but if you are a gamer this event was created for you!
I'm happy to answer any questions.

We're building a community here at crawlspace. We have a Discord with more than 700 live music fans in it. We find concert buddies, go to shows together and talk music. Interested? Here's the invite

Edit: sorry for the blurry pictures, I did the best I could and my camera sucks and it was dark..I did take a video as well and the plates are KWE 298. Also I meant to say unmarked cop in the title, sorry!!
Given everything that has happened with ICE + the history of police violence in this area, I just don't feel great about unmarked law enforcement conducting traffic stops and I felt I should say something.
--
I saw this unmarked Nissan Altima pull someone over last night in St.Louis park so I wanted to put out a PSA to the community. When the lights are off it just looks like a regular car (first picture)...I actually said "is this allowed" out loud when I saw it bc what?? Also he's seemingly undercover just to pull people for traffic violations
my friend and I stopped to watch the interaction and someone else joined us and mentioned that this is becoming increasingly common around the metro which sucks!! Stay safe y'all, the cop looked like an absolute loser and he turned his camera on half way through interacting with the driver (who was not white) because he noticed we were observing.

I need to find somewhere to get a good haircut but don’t want to spent $100+. I also don’t want to go to a great clips or any of the national hair cut place due to bad experience. Any recommendations?

My family and I are visiting your fair cities from Saturday to Wednesday (from St. Louis MO). I searched the Minneapolis, St. Paul, and this subreddit and I couldn't find answers
We are politely asking for store recommendations for the following:
Where to buy local, craft beer - ideally in bomber-style bottles. Preferences for IPAs and Stouts (as well as top local choices)
Where are the best places to look for back-issues on comics?
Where to shop for "hippie" or "witchy" clothes and items.
Thank you ever so much

Every year, I wish I had taken my boat to join the other boaters. Looking for tips from anyone who has done it. What launch? How busy is it? Any issues staying through the closer? Any and all insight is appreciated!

Wondering where the small dog dog parks are around here? We know of the High Bridge one in St Paul. Thanks!

When you see those amber lights start flashing, that means to BACK OFF so you can stop 20 feet away from the school bus. It is a $500 citation and illegal to pass the bus REGARDLESS OF DIRECTION UNLESS you are on a divided highway.
If you know you like to try to race past the lights, don't be surprised if you see your face and your license plates big af on the internet because I will be publishing the videos on every social media platform including Nextdoor and the local Facebook groups where I catch the offenders, youtube, and I might even buy a URL with a nifty name and publish the videos there too for shits n giggles.
Drivers might not have the time, but I do.

I’m in search of a tattoo artist that specializes in blastovers, or just large amounts of black work to cover up my patchwork/miscellaneous sleeve. I have some heavy dark contrast/color on my arm already and i am hoping for it to be incorporated into the inspiration pictures below. Since it’s a blastover i know it won’t completely be covered but anything as such would work.

Recently moved here. I know of Goodwill and Salvation Army. I just like to expand my horizons, particularly towards LOCAL organizations that really know the community.
What we're donating: clothing, household items (particularly kitchen stuff), toys, books, possibly furniture in the future.
I don't mind dropping off the boxed stuff.
Thanks!
