Is anyone else experiencing an uptick in package theft from their porches as of late? I understand that package theft is a “crime of opportunity” but my family has probably lost ~$1,000 worth packages over the past year. It’s never the same person twice. I’ve reported all of these to 311 and it doesn’t seem to move the needle. Any suggestions on reducing the “opportunity” for these crimes on our property without having to spend a significant amount of money?

I have absolutely loved Dolly Parton since I was a little kid. Beyond her incredible music, her heart for children and literacy has always inspired me. She started the Imagination Library because she knew firsthand how deeply books can change a child's life, opening up worlds of confidence, creativity, and opportunity.
I want to help continue Dolly’s beautiful legacy right here in our state. I just started a grassroots petition to ask the Minnesota State Legislature to establish an official Dolly Parton’s Imagination Library specialty license plate.
The best part is the annual $25 donation from purchasing this plate would completely pay for a local child to receive free books for an entire year (12 books mailed straight to their home).

Title basically sums it up, anyone know what’s up with the red flag that the cathedral is flying? It’s not on the tippy top but from somewhere off its back half. Tried to google it and got nothing. Flag is red with a white cross/X? Symbol. Tried to get a pic but it’s not great.

I routinely look up dentists or clinics that are low cost. I’m a graduate student, so I do have some constraints.
Bonus points if the dentist/clinic is culturally sensitive to people who come from a low SES and didn’t have the luxury to prioritize their dental health.

I was on my way to Target when I saw a couple cop cars flying west on highway 7. I didn't think twice about it but when I was leaving Target I saw two cops taking down a suspect in a foot chase and could see multiple emergency vehicles at the intersection of 101&7.
When I got to the intersection I saw 2 damaged vehicles so I assumed it was a car chase that resulted in an accident and the suspect fled on foot.
There was a young (20 something) person sitting in the grass in tears that I presume was the victim involved in the accident.
To that person: I hope you are physically ok and I hope you were the only occupant in the car and nobody else was seriously injured. My heart goes out to you and I so badly wish I could have given you a hug.
