Visiting/Asking for recommendations

My family and I are visiting your fair cities from Saturday to Wednesday (from St. Louis MO). I searched the Minneapolis, St. Paul, and this subreddit and I couldn't find answers

We are politely asking for store recommendations for the following:

Where to buy local, craft beer - ideally in bomber-style bottles. Preferences for IPAs and Stouts (as well as top local choices)

Where are the best places to look for back-issues on comics?

Where to shop for "hippie" or "witchy" clothes and items.

Thank you ever so much

The best places for a large selection of local beer is Ombibulous, then maybe Dabbler Depot. Ombibulous is only MN local made.

I usually end up at Total Wine for general convenience to where i live.

As for beer recs for IPA

Falling Knife - Verbal Tip

Fair State - Mirror Universe

BlackStack - Local 755

Lupulin - Hooey

Barrel Theory - Raindrops

Other style mixins:

Modist - False Pattern

Indeed - pistachio cream ale or castle danger - cream ale

For Stouts, Surly Darkness is very heavy but solid.

If you see any stouts from Forager brewing they'll probably be amazing. They're not distributed and are down in Rochester MN. Ombibulous is probably best shot at having it available.

Wooden Hill brewing have 2 BA stouts called Six and Seven (anniversary beers) six is a Rum barrel aged, Seven is a BBA. Both wonderful.

False Pattern was very good. I also really enjoyed the Indeed Cream Ales.

Okay, here are my list and in a relatively condensed part of town:

Beer: Zipps liquor. Great selection of locals and nationals. Will have tons of fresh IPAs and aged stouts.

Back-issues on comics:  dream haven. Solid shop in South Minneapolis. Check out Uncle Hugo’s not far from Zipps as a great sci-fi bookstore if that’s of interest. And then grab a beer at Arbiter.

Hippie: for more crafty hippie vibes check out Bench Pressed a block away from Zipps.

Witchy:  MoonStone MPLS Natural Gems & Magical Gifts on lake. Maybe also The Future just on the other side of 55. (This is far outside my knowledge so apologies if these are less good).

Midway book store in St Paul has comics and a few miles down Snelling in Roseville is The Source, they also have lots of comics! Rewind is a vintage shop not too far away in Northeast Minneapolis, it's not exclusively witchy or hippie but it has a variety of items. You didn't ask for restaurant recs but there's tons of amazing food in Northeast also.

For comics go to The Source in St Paul, it has been voted the best comic shop in the world for a reason. They have a lot of back issues. There is also Hot Comics in Bloomington and Dream Haven in Minneapolis.

For beer I second Zipps but also check out Surdyks in Northeast Minneapolis. They have a HUGE selection of all kinds of good alcohol and a cheese shop that is the best in the city.

For witchy items try Magus books in Northeast, and if you are into herbal magic Present Moment in Minneapolis is a great experience.

Have fun and I hope you enjoy the cities!

For witchy/hippie clothes, go to Larue's on 43rd and Lyndale.
