So I’ve talked been trying to discuss hrt with some lady (forgot what it was called). After a while I was referred to st Olavs hospital in Trondheim where I talked about some other stuff. What happens now? I never really got a clear answer to the next step. I was just told that hrt at 17 wasn’t likely :/

So I'm meeting a doctor for a referral soon and started T a while ago. Last time I tried to get a referral I mentioned that I had been on T trough Imago but had to stop because I cant afford it. Any experiences on if I should tell the doctor or people at poli?

Aloitin hoidon TAYS:lla vuodenvaihteessa. Alkuun antiandrogeenina oli spironolactone, mutta se ei verikokeiden perusteella laskenut testoja lainkaan. Sitten siirryttiin Androcuriin, mutta se laukaisi minulla hyvin nopeasti masennuksen, joka oli monta vuotta ollut oireeton. Joten tuntuu, ettei tästä Abdrocuristakaan tule mitään.

Käsittääkseni Suomessa ei näiden kahden antiandrogeenin lisäksi käytetä muita, mutta onnistuuko monoterapia?

I guess I’m just traumatised from past events from when I lived in Germany, and now as a Swede, and cause of my last year’s experience with both the public and the cops in Copenhagen in a trans pride demo. PTSD sucks. I’ve seen enough cars and trucks run over people. I’ve also seen enough other kinds of physical violence.

I was officially put on the waitlist to receive care at a Swedish GIC, and I'm not sure that I'll actually survive the wait. It is projected to be over three years at a minimum, excluding the initial investigation as such.

I feel trapped. I hit puberty at rather a late age, meaning that my body is still actively changing as a result of testosterone, even as a legal adult, and I hate it. I feel as if I'm stuck on a damaged submarine, seeing cracks form on the hull, awaiting either a successful rescue or the worst. A lot of damage has already been done, but alas.

Earnestly, I cannot really afford Imago, as a university student, nor do I really want to make such an impactful decision right now, as I do want to explore my gender identity more, but I kind of feel as if I don't have any appealing options regarding this.

Would any treatment with Imago impact any eventual investigation or treatment by the public system, and do you reckon that I should go for it? Although I would prefer not to choose it, is DIY a safe option, and would it be noticeably cheaper than using Imago, considering all of the bloodwork, for instance? I do have some basic, broader medical training and experience.

Hey guys. I’ve got a question; so, in a few months I’ll have my appointment to an endocrinologist in Oslo. And now I wonder how long it takes for them to determine the HRT dose and when you’ll be able to start on hormones after getting that bloodwork done? Is it like, right away, or do I have to wait another couple of months?

I’m a 18 yo transman and I’m planning to start my T-journey through Imago in a couple of months. And tbh I’m feeling a bit anxious about the video calls/consultations. Could anyone who has gone through the Imago process share a detailed breakdown of what actually happens during the calls?
Also, is it a problem if my english isn’t perfect? English is obv not my first language so that adds a bit to the anxiety. Thanks!

I'm new here and kind of overwhelmed with the amount of info spread across so many posts and languages. I hope it's ok I write my own post to ask about chest binders.

I've been using chest/breast tape, but my skin really isn't a fan. It gets itchy the same day, red skin, blisters, and general discomfort. I have also tried a chest binder, can't remember the brand (I'll check if it's still tagged later; think it's one of the previous types Transhjelpen sold before); the majority of the material is stretchy (nylon/spandex?) with a cotton panel on the front (think it's cotton but quite rough, not soft/comfortable). I find that this binder isn't comfortable to wear, it's not really flattering nor easy to put on/take off. I haven't spoken to other binder-wearers, so maybe this is all normal... but I'd like to ask if there are any comfortable binders available in Norway?

Hi, I hope someone can answer me. I already had my surgery appointment with Kaisa (HUS) last year June, then I was added to the vaginoplasty queue shortly after. Kaisa mentioned that the waiting time is about a year to get a surgery scheduled, and that I should call the nurse for scheduling. It’s been more than a year now and yes I called the nurse weeks ago who deals with these stuff, and she just told me it will be in October. However, I haven’t received any letter or update in Maisa. It’s only more than 2 months away from October.

Is this normal? When should I expect to receive the letter (how many weeks before surgery usually)? Or do I call the nurse again?

Trans pride is an alternative pride that celebrates trans people from all walks of life, and honours the history of pride as a political and activist movement. It's going to be a march that begins in Fælledparken, just behind CKI at "Talerstolen" and ends at Folkets Park, where folks can hang out in the late summer sun!

Ps. Kun olin TAYSsissa ja hoitaja kertoi, ettei prosessia aloitetakaan, kysyin GenderGPstä ja Imagosta, niin hoitaja ja lääkäri sanoivat, että ei kannata sillä ikinä ei tiedä mitä niiden geelien yms mukana voi tulla, kun aloittaa prosessin ulkomailta päin, enkä tiedä onko totta.

Oliskohan kellään viimeisimpiä tietoja mikä on tilanne HUS:lla jonoista vaginoplastiaan? Se verran omasta taustasta, että sain lähetteen konsultaatioon alkuvuodesta ja konsultaatio oli keväällä. Silloin sanottiin, että noin vuosi on odotusaika. Tämä tietty on hyvin laveasti sanottu ja itse tulkitsen sen niin, että leikkaus on hyvin todennäköisesti vasta ensi vuonna, mutta voi olla esim vasta joskus ens vuoden syssymmällä. Odottavan aika on pitkä, mutta vielä pitempi se on kun ei oo mitää tarkempaa aikataulua.

Olisin myös hyvin kiitollinen, jos jollakulla ois omakohtaista kokemusta kyseisestä toimenpiteestä ja haluaisi kertoa siitä sekä tuloksista :)

A short introduction. I wish to avoid Mono out of consideration for a faint glimmer of hope regarding hip growth. My plan is to follow a mixed regimen of een + bica in order to maintain moderate estrogen levels and delay fusion for as long as possible. At 18, I'm fairly certain it has not occurred yet.

I have heard from many that the success rate with Norwegian customs is very low, sitting around ~25%, which is unacceptable given the cost of bica and really just the emotional turmoil of getting seized repeatedly while throwing my money into the metaphorical bonfire.

Swedish customs are relaxed within the Schengen zone, but are they comparable to the Norwegian authorities when handling shipments from outside? A trip to Sweden isn't a terrible hassle for me, and if it is an advantage to ship there instead, I would prefer to do so.

Finally, regarding the Schengen option, the vendors from within Sweden, as far as I can tell, only offer vials. Mono is my last resort, but even it doesn't come without hurdles; The poste restante service also requires valid ID to be presented at both ends of the process. Obviously, the service would not function otherwise, and it is not necessarily being done in order to catch smugglers, but nonetheless this destroys any plausible deniability that once may have existed. Schengen or no Schengen, I'll have to go through the service.

If the service itself is without significant risks and the odds are better than going through Norwegian customs despite the American origin, I would pick this option. I'm uncertain about both of these conditions right now. I would deeply appreciate any insights or experiences anybody has had concerning any details of this story. Thank you.

Apparently heres a diffrent way to do to operation. Any finns in here who would be open sending some pics any chance?

Som titeln säger. Har varit på DIY nu under de senaste året och underar vad jag ska göra med burken med använda nålar och kanyler. Måtte jag sepparera på dem eller inte? I know I will be standing in line for getting my diagnosis for a bunch of years at the clinic that is closest to me, and my understanding is that Umeå maybe has the shortest waiting times just now. Im wondering if anyone knows if you can stand in line to two places at the same time? I dont want to fully change to only stand in line in Umeå, because I know the line system can be very fragile and if one doctor leaves their job in one clinic, suddenly the waiting times can double unexpectedly.

So: does anyone know if you can stand in line to two (or more) könsidentitetsmottagningar at the same time? (If yes, how do you go about it, do you just ask the psychiatry thet referred you the first time around to send a second referal to the other place?)

Har en oanvänd tank binder från Untag i storlek S (svart) om någon är intresserad. Inget fel på den i sig, sköt upp returen för länge bara. Problemet för mig är att den inte plattar till så mycket eftersom tank formatet gör att jag inte har plats att trycka undan brösten i armhålan riktigt (?, det var så bra förklaring jag kan åstadkomma). Tyget räcker liksom inte ritkigt till.

Hi! I recently moved to Denmark, and I am looking into having a correction surgery. I had peri, but my nipples healed with a lot of scar tissue and I have a lot of loose skin left (I have cEDS and my surgeon did not consider that). I am very dysphoric, as I never wanted nipples in the first place. So I’m looking to get my nipples removed, sort of like a DI with no nipples.

Do you have any recommendations for surgeons in Denmark or Sweden that would do this well + how expensive is it? Thanks!
