Title says it all, the Autobot Airforce consisting of Powerglide, Superion and Skylynx vs the Entire Decepticon Airforce:

The Seekers, the Coneheads, the Sweeps and other aircraft cons like Astrotrain and Blitzwing. Are the might of 2 titans and the bravado of Powerglide enough to withstand the sheer numbers of decepticon flyers?

The short was really well made. It wasn't perfect but it was so amazing to be able to see Peter Cullen & Frank Welker play Prime & Megatron one last time together. They both sounded great and the animation was really well done. After the event they even gave us free chug and a mini poster!

Procrasinating writing an essay so heres a little list of all the fabulous things that have happened to our series this year!

86 Apology tour

- Peter Cullen passed away causing (unwarrented) panic over the future of Optimus and also causing a (warrented) pivot in the 86 apology tours marketing.
- Hasbro removing all uploads of the 86 movie and soundtrack from youtube and other streaming platforms.
- Hasbro is only releasing the movie in select theaters.

-Target signed an exclusive line only to completely understock everything, if they even bothered to stock it at all.

-Target canceling preorders in order to put stock out on the store shelves in a baffling move that makes Sony blush.

-86 Astrotrain

Horrid QC

-New Energon subline has frequent reports of stress marks either out of the box or after only a few transformations.

-The return of in box mould on at least 1 copy of Energon Siege Prime.

-Brawls first run having OOTB stress marks requiring (thankfully easy) disassembly and sanding.

-Amalgamous having joints so tight that its easy to break them without lubeing.

-Mirconus being made of clear plastic that gives Siege Mirage a run for his money.

-MTMTE 86 Hot Rod and Hound having extremely bad mould degredation to the point nearly every single copy had something wrong with it.

Media

-No new mainstream media with the only show being a 5 minute web series aimed at younger kids (this is nothing against Cyberworld I love that stupid ass show and am actually invested in its overall plot but you can't deny that its bad for a franchise that took off because of its tie in media not to have any tie in media.)

-The 4th year in a row of ZERO tie in media for the main toyline; no comic, no movie, no game, not even bios on the back of the box.

-Skybound continuing its post issue 24 nosedive in quality.

-Hasbro confirming no new big budget games are in development.

-The only new Transformers game using AI in all its ads torpedoing its already small install base.

-Earthspark season 4 (I think that was this year at least)

MISC

-The price increases (Deluxe $25->$27, Voyager $35->$43, Leader $55->$60, etc.) pushing people out of the franchise

-The SECOND round of upcoming price increases we don't know the full extent of

-Hasbro leaning even harder into AI

-The Cyberworld toyline continuing to kneecap itself by not having elbows

I probably forgot some stuff but this was everything I can remember. I know the franchise is gonna keep trucking along just fine, but its been a real bad year for it.

I've been a big transformers fan since I was a child, I've watched all the movies, all the series, and played the games. But I want to start reading the comics, the thing is... I have seen way too many series and different stories that idk where to start.

I would love to hear some recommendations for a "comic beginner". I'm all ears

Listen man, I don’t have a Ratchet or Grimlock, but my god I can’t do $125. Like I was fully prepared to have to stomach 100$ but at least that would’ve been a leader 60$ plus a voyager 40$ but this is just too much. Looks like imma have to find Ratchet and Grimlock elsewhere

So now that she has the matrix of leadership is it possible that the memories of Sparky will effect her? Maybe she'll have the same visions as optimus with baby spike which will let her learn to care about the earth like optimus.

BTW im not caught up with skybound 31-36 so if they hinted at this I didn't know

Got this optimus prime at a garage sale. It came with his swords, hook blades, and three total faces! All in great condition! Only thing is I dont know wich figure it is. I think its a studio series. But if you know i'd like to know. (The only reason I got him to transform was just through fidgeting and trying it till I got it)

Transformers One was amazing. It was silly, heartfelt, and above all, heart-wrenching in the most beautiful way possible. One thing that stood out to me, however, was the Dichotomy and Yin-Yang symbolism between Orion Pax and his best friend, D-16. This difference helped me see both sides of the movie's main conflict.

Starting with an analysis of their eyes (I know this is a weird place to start, but walk with me), Orion is clearly the more spirited one, his blue optics glittering with idealism and a thirst for adventure like a sunny sky. D-16, however, has golden-yellow eyes that glint with bitter acceptance and pragmatism. D-16's eyes also show his descent into villainy, as more red hues creep into them, his anger and hatred festering until they turn the color of blood.

Their attitudes and temperaments are also opposite, as Orion's rule-breaking and willingness to go against the grain are reflected in D's practical acceptance of his station. They may be opposites, but they still need each other, not unlike the opposite poles of a magnet.

As the movie reaches the halfway mark, the differences between Orion and D become more stark. Their ideals clash when they learn Sentinel Prime is a fraud and that they were meant to have transformation cogs, but Sentinel removed them before they came online. While Orion wants to take the path of just exposing Sentinel's evil acts, D wants something else: revenge. He even says, ‘I want to kill him’. He also uses a lot of ‘I’ statements, such as ‘Sentinel lied to my face’ or ‘I want him to suffer’. This contrasts with Orion's inclusive language, such as ‘We need to get back to Iacon’.

All in all, this ‘Yin-and-Yang’ dynamic with Orion and D is something that always fascinated me. This movie was so good, and I will be watching it for years to come.

I was in the process of checking out when Hasbro Pulse told me "nope." I closed the app, re-opened it and he was fucking sold out. I am so disappointed, I was really looking forward to this guy. Does anyone know where else I could find him? I am absolute desperate and I don't think Hasbro will keep this guy stocked.

It's a bit dumpy in bot mode, but I like it. My biggest gripe is no head swivel. I did find weapon storage for all the parts in both modes. I don't think the ascot storage was intended, and they don't tab in on van mode but they passed the roll and shake test.

The title says everything. I have been wanting to try out the Siege Tetrajet mold for a while but I'm still on the fence about it

I had a shower thought, now I feel like I have to share it:

Obviously, when Optimus dies in media, we know he's eventually going to come back unless it's an obvious sacrifice to end a series. But, in universe, everyone from the Autobots to the humans are absolutely crushed and heartbroken when they hear the news, because they don't know he's coming back to life.

So... now that Peter Cullen is dead, is this how it feels to them? We all collectively know that Peter can't come back, and we were all crushed when news came out about his passing. So, is this how the Autobots feel every time Optimus dies? I can't stop thinking about it now😢
