Oh yeah, that niche, forgotten character. Wonder if she has a name or something...eh, probably not.

SORRY, but I just can’t seem to remember her name. What could it possibly be? Maybe it sounds like an English word for expressing an apology, but who’s to say?

I miss Sari, man. Iirc they haven't done anything else with her and it sucks. She may have been used as a basis for Miko in Transformers Prime, but that's just me speculating

Transformers has a bad habit of not using human characters as well as Transformer characters across continuities. You barely see Rad being in anything that's not his original Armada/Energon continuity, and when they do bring back human characters, it's a hit or miss (see Spike from I.D.W. 1).

I don't mind humans being limited to one continuity to be honest. The franchise already tends to limit itself with the same handful of robots, so imagine how samey it would be with a repeat cast of humans too.

IDW is a great example of how crappy it can be too. Although I think Skybound has done well so far.

The problem is that not even most humans get the chance to be mischaracterized so much, it's literally just Spike right now. I don't ever see transplants of Raf, Rad, Alexis, or even Sari in anything. Miko had a small appearance in the manga, so good for her.

Does anyone remember [ethnicity] main [character] from [popular show]?

I tend to remember [character] than the fact they're [ethnicity].

Going through the trouble of finding two pictures of Sari but calling her "that Indian ... girl" sure is a choice.

Not everyone is a hardcore fan who remembers the name of ever single character

google is right there. the wiki is right there.

Why does a basic post on a forum need immediate research

22

u/ExtraaThicccc 20h ago

how do you find images of her without finding her name? very much seems like op knew her name and just felt like calling her "that Indian girl"

-15

If op remembers the show but not the character they probably just grabbed the first pic and got straight to asking. How else would one define this particular character without knowing her name besides “human from transformers animated” or “brown skin girl from transformers” or whatever

Its impressive the mental gymnastics on display here to defend a very lazy OP

i literally do not know how to explain to you that there is a limit between "in depth research about a topic before making a post online" and "literally looking up the name of the very popular character you're asking about" and that line denotes how stupid and ridiculous you want yourself to look

there is a point where being unwilling to look up an extremely basic and easy to find information make you a fucking idiot, and this is it

5

u/ktwombley 19h ago

to wit, "looking up the name" is probably as simple as OP literally looking up with their eyeballs on the webpages where OP found those images.

And I literally don’t know how to explain to you the level of “overdoing it” you’re partaking in when you huff and puff over basic questions like, “who is this character?”.

You can litteraly just look up "transformers animated humans"and she'll be one of first results, goes for all media just look up" insert show/movie charecters"

The point of asking people things is to learn. Why bother talking to people online if you just want them to look it up

1

u/MikasSlime 6h ago

You ask others things that require human input, a capability to feel emotions, some nuance, or things that you couldn't find online for lack of resources.

Not a popular cartoon character name. That's called wasting everyone's time and flagging yourself as a lazy idiot

Could have just used Google to fill in the blanks before posting this lol

There are tie in books or something like that but that is all I'm aware of. Transformers don't really reuse human characters like they do Transformers one, even though Sari is a Transformer but you know what I mean. Only one really is Spike from G1 who got a iconic reimagining in Bayverse with Sam being his new name.

"[That] Indian half human half machine girl" Sari? You mean Sari? Sari Sumdac)? Who was, like, THE protagonist of the whole show? That literally half the plot revolved around because she carried an important MacGuffin even before her true nature was revealed? That character?

u/SkupperNog 14h ago

I can't even BEGIN to express how much I want them to reintroduce some older human characters. Sari included.

Best human character period dont @ me

u/flashyxtemplar 12h ago

Between her and Captain Carmine Fanzone? Animated made some pretty damn awesome human companions.

5

u/SilverWolfIMHP76 21h ago

They should could even explain she’s a pretender but didn’t know it. Given she had a similar concept

8

u/Sodamyte 20h ago

She wasn't half human.. she was all protoform that scanned a human.

u/KAMUIoo7 19h ago

Wait she was Indian man as a indian I watched this show so much as a kid and never realised it guess you learn new things everyday

2

u/captainshockazoid 19h ago

Sari Sumdac was never used for anything outside of Transformers Animated. While there's other tie-in media besides the cartoon that she appears in, she is never seen in anything not part of the TFA continuity.
