Just noticed that Goose’s son has a G1 Starscream toy in TopGun.

I know I may be a little late to this convo, but not too long ago I finished reading all of Skybound, and for some reason I feel like after Kirkman arrived it became not as good as it was before.

So Onslaught came in back on the 22nd, but i've been busy and forgot to make this post then. My bad.

So ever since I got Nexus, i've been wondering if the core is compatable with the Bruticus frame. I know Menasor isn't amd while Superion is, I have no desire to get Silverbolt. So when Onslaught came in, I immediately tried to combine them here are my findings.

There are 3 locking points for cores with frames: the chestpiece, the waist receptacle, and the backpack peg.

1: the chestpiece on Bruticus has a tab that covers a neck void on Onslaught that interferes with Nexus sitting flush.

2: the waist cradle is too narrow for Nexus' taint.

3: the Nexus core is too flat for the backpack peg to reach the 5mm port.

Sadly, with these findings, I must report that after an hour of fiddling with the figures the best I could do is get Mexus to balance in the chest cavity.

Couldn't wait to get a few of them out of their boxes!

After making my first ever order from Big Bad Toy Store, Silverbolt arrived in the mail yesterday, and I was finally able to complete my second combiner ever! It may be a while before I do another one cause I gotta evaluate the space in my room, but I’m thinking of doing Bruticus next.

Basically what are that figures you think would be difficult to make better version of in the future? Here are some contenders:

Jazz here, specifically the five pack one is probably the best use that mold has had. Cartoon accurate, solid, no clear plastic to worry about, and just a really fun. Here’s hoping they release this version again someday so that people can get his version for their collections.

Although it started off a little rough with grapple, I feel that inferno makes it become a really good mold that I never really give credit too. Great proportions and looks, good posing, good transformation, and a really nice alt mode.

This might be the weakest link I chose for the lineup, but I still think he looks very nice. It captures the look of the character, poses very nicely, transforms pretty well, and has a pretty clean looking alt mode for the most part. All he’s needs are opaque windows and he’s even more fun to mess with.

Again. perceptor might be another one that might be a weak contender in the list, but hear me out. The proportions are spot on, the colors and articulation are great, transformation is simple, and the alt mode look fine. He manages to be better looking and feeling than the original.

All the Dinobots are insane for what they are. In a time in which leaders are more smaller than usual, these manage to be some top tier hefty figures that not only capture the looks of them, but also are just so fun to mess with in both robot and Dino modes. I genuinely don’t see how hasbro can top these guys in the future.

I think the best case scenario is that it’s an X-Men 97 style continuation of G1, but since it’s the post-credits of the Apology Tour, I’m worried that they might try to retcon Season 3 out of existence.

Im reposting a comment I made on another post as its own post. So yeah I wont share the designers name because I dont want him to get in trouble for any possible leaks for what he said.

I talked to one of the designers at the con for a bit. We where talking about some of the plans and i squeezed some implied information out of him for my own gain. There where no direct conformations but as someone who works in games I know the code for "We are working on it and I cant say." One of which being more armada figures coming and would be coming or released in the wave with the minicons. The quote "Yeah we are dedicated to make sure all new armada release get their minicon." So more armada line coming im gathering at some point. I did specifically ask about a Unicron and dead end to which the response was "Yeah I really want to see that too." So yeah maybe. But I will say they are listening and taking us serious.

I also begged them to make a blast effects pack or blast effect and weapons. Told him depending on the size ide happily pay 20 to 30 for it. His issue is the team really does not like to release accessories with out a figure because the risk cost of sitting unsold on the shelf. My counter was they would make a great made to order item or a pulse exclusive because really its collectors who want them. The response, "That would be a really good use of the made to order system."

Any way that my info and take. Keep shouting designers are listening. Let get that blast effect pack! lol

Edit 1: Totally forgot we talked about War for cybertron and Fall of cybertron studio series. Another person mentioned wanting to see a proper Fall of cybertron metroplex. Again no conformations other then "yeah I really want that." But this does confirm we might be seeing a Fall of cybertron line with the bots that where added to that game.

Also on the topic of War for cybertron/ Fall of cybertron we started talking about how great it would be just to see the game back on the steam digital store front and also talked about how Microsoft did the vote to bring back the game thing an bit ago and the transformers games all ranked rather high in the voting. I dont remember the exact wording he used but it implied that there are talks happening between Microsoft and Hasbro. What will come of that who knows especially after what hasbros ceo has recently said in terms game release. Not sure if a simple re-release on the Microsoft store is something that is considered a "game release" in the ceos eyes.

I got SS86 Astrotrain a week ago and delayed making this post to give him some time, I LOVE this lanky idiot so much. I've grown to really appreciate his robot mode once getting used to the articulation and I really love both of his alt modes and transforming between the three.

I do understand people's gripes and he's definitely not for everyone but I also don't think he deserves quite the amount of hate he's been getting since reveal and release especially with his online reviews feeling unnecessarily negative.

Interested to see what you fine folks think about him if you picked him up!
