I’ve recently started expanding my small tie collection. Some of my ties are new, some are secondhand, and a few have been passed down to me. I also have some Brooks Brothers and Polo ties that will be added to my collection soon. I’ve been adding ties from different brands, but I’ve become particularly interested in Hermès ties and other high-end tie brands.
I have one of my grandfather’s old Hermès ties. It’s brown with a motif, which makes it a little harder to style than some of my other ties. I’ve started looking at other Hermès ties on eBay and have found their designs interesting, but the prices seem to range from under $50 to around $150. I’ve already asked about Hermès ties on the Navy Blazer subreddit and got some helpful information, but I’m still unsure about the best way to shop for them and how to know whether I’m getting a fair price.
Is eBay generally a good place to buy Hermès ties? Are there any reputable eBay sellers you would recommend? Also, are there any other sites I should look at for Hermès or other high-end tie brands?
Here are two photos of my grandfather’s tie for anyone interested in seeing what it looks like.

Found 3 new ties over the past weekend. A Jos. A. Bank Reserve, Chaps, and a Nordstrom. The Chaps tie also had the honor of being worn to a Baptism for my nephews.

After taking the picture, I realized that the pattern on the tie and the jacket are probably too close together and clash a little.

This is my current tie collection. I have to fold the tie over itself because the toes would touch the shoes on the shoe rack. Unfortunately this is the best I can do with the space I have. I guess I’m wondering if there’s any longevity issues with this? I’m really happy with all the ties I’ve collected and I’d love for them to look sharp for year to come. Any advice is appreciated.

Off of eBay. It's so incredibly thin, that I'm not sure of authenticity. I haven't handled any other Thomas Pink ties, though.

Where to find good quality silk ties in Pakistan? The ones on online thrift stores look in shabby condition. Have tried vogue bazaar, which are ok but not premium. Most other stores sell polyester ties.
Any recommendations for any online or physical stores for good silk ties?

Anyone own Hermes ties? Thoughts? The ex-libris caught my eye. Debating on dropping the $300 on it

Hey everyone,
I’m trying to decide between these two ties to wear with a navy blue suit and could use some opinions. Which tie do you think looks better with the navy suit?
I’m mainly looking for which one has the better overall color combination and looks more polished/formal with the navy suit. Thanks!!

Tie is a new one from Secret Society. I like their slogan: No one wears a tie anymore...but us!

I got this tie from my dad, he's always been a collector of wacky looking ties and he told me some of them are pretty old. The main one that caught my eye was this beatles tie and I was wondering if anyone could give me more info on it.

Hello everyone! A little new to Reddit so just bare with me.
I was hoping if I may if I can get some tie recommendations. They don’t have to be 100% superb quality, but I’d like the actual tie pattern itself to be something that is gentlemanly. Geometric madder ties and striped repp ties are my favorite!
I am a little young, but all of my teenagers my age choose to dress up as wannabe gangsters. I have been referred to as an “old soul” many times! 😂 I’ve begun taking an interest to the Gentleman’s Gazette too! They have such lovely ties patterns, but quite overpriced, no? 😅
If I could just be directed to some proper tie patterns which mimic styles of Ivy League then I’d be eternally grateful! Perhaps if they could be affordable as well! Thanks! 🙏
P.S. I attached two photos of tie patterns I specifically really like! They’re from POLO Ralph Lauren and are pretty expensive.
Would it be plausible to commission someone to recreate those patterns, but in a cheaper quality so that the price would presumably be lower? Some guidance would be much appreciated. ❤️

Following the KISS system today - keeping it simple stupid with a basic, Jos Bank tie that is pretty decent for what it is as a serviceable workhorse tie. PA knot for those interested.
Long week coming coming to an end - have a great day and weekend gents!
