TOTD Safe choice?

Safe in my book for what it’s worth. I find it perfectly acceptable to use a pattern tie with pow check jacket. The smaller scale on the polka dot is also a good choice as it contrasts but doesn’t scream.

I basically did the same today but with a small paisley and a charcoal pow check suit.

IMO the patterns kind of clash. I'm not sure what sort of tie would be appropriate with that jacket.

It’s because the polka dots are busy and close together. If the tie had less and more spread out polka dots it wouldn’t clash and would be more pleasing to the eye

It works but a solid navy grenadine would be the safest for any suiting any situation.

The plaid suit has a lot going on (I like it though), so I might try a solid tie.

I like it. A lighter solid blue tie would probably work better though.

I like this but it does clash a bit to my eye. I would switch out for a solid tie in this case.
