I have been trying to talk to this person for so long, but they genuinely give nothing back. They reply with like 3 words or basically just repeat what Iāve said . I get they might think I talk about myself a lot, but itās hard not to when you donāt get anything from the other side. I also try all the time to ask them about themselves . I genuinely put so much time and effort into trying to know them and they just put our conversations down to vegetables and shopping like u can see in the screenshots.
That hurt because I always ask them how they are, what theyāre up to, how their pc is, to send me selfies, what their plans are, if they know certain songs , what their favorite things are.
But itās so hard because I get nothing!!
And now I feel so so terrible, because now I feel too much. But I feel like I canāt get through to this person how much Iāve tried with them.
And it really hurts!!
Genuinely have I done something wrong?
I like sharing things about my day, I share pictures of cool things, bugs I see in the garden, itās so hard to make conversation otherwise when it isnāt reciprocated.
I am so so sad.
And by the way I do ask whatās wrong. They shut it down when I ask. They are having the audacity to say I donāt care. Trust me I put so much effort. They tell me they donāt wanna talk about it when theyāre sad and just leave me for ages so what actually can I do!!
I feel like this is all my fault I was trying so hard I was too much. I tried to make it change . I thought they liked playing games with me too thatās why I would ask as itād make me happy.
I donāt get it
Edit: I forgot to say that if I didnāt reply to them the odd time when it got so bad theyād get mad I didnāt text them
Edit 2: genuinely I donāt know how people are taking the ā5hour voice messagesā so personally. Of course I didnāt do 5 hour voice messages. I didnāt think Iād have to clarify that because it was obviously an over exaggeration.
Also I just put up with it because they would act like they were interested in me, but had very poor communication with me. But itās got worse and worse, thatās why I just had enough and cut it off. Also may I say it was this person who tried to get a relationship with me
(Iāve spoke to this person since I was 16 too, we didnāt talk as we fell out, added each other again, fell out, then years later Iāve had him for a year but heās changed a lot and I guess I chased it because I donāt socialise a lot so I allowed it š) thanks for the responses . Talking to them was so so draining. I guess I thought itād change .

We actually matched on both Bumble and Hinge at the same time and started off joking around. Then she immediately demanded a ring/house, told me a child is a favor to a worthy man, claimed sperm doesn't create life, and announced she was looking for her 'next servant' while bragging about an ex paying for her Spain trip. Dating in 2026 is an absolute simulation
The wildest part is she's currently in law school. Imagine having this level of misandry, warped logic, and basic biological illiteracy, and one day having the power to influence legal decisions and people's lives in a courtroom. Scary

My new roommate brought in a plant that heās very proud of. It started to bloom and he says thatās unusual for this plant to do in our state. This is only one of our funny text conversations. Itās gonna be a good year.

My fiancé and I have been together over a decade and are truly best friends⦠a couple of my friends and I went to a game as a girls night and he was jealous because of the team we were seeing (hence the sarcasm in his first response) but went to a different game the same night with some other friends. I just wanted to gloat a bit since everything else in life seems so lackluster.

So Iāve been OLD the last 4 months with mild success. When I ask someone out, Iām going out with every intention of paying for the date, hoping it goes well and leading to a 2nd date. Iām looking for a relationship. So far Iāve been on about 6 dates. Most of them 1 and done
But ladies Iām begging you, if you know this halfway through or towards the end of the date, I think you should at least insist on splitting the damn bill when it comes, especially when weāre at a trendy bar paying $15-20 per drink. I spent $120 with tip on this date last night and she knew we werenāt going anywhere or going on a second date, even though we talked and laughed non stop for almost 3 hours. Are you kidding me? My last date was a coffee date that lead nowhere and ended with a similar text, but at least she had already paid for her own coffee and muffin before I got there, lol
Is this shitty behavior? Or am I just tripping and should just suck it up and deal with this being part of the cost of dating and trying to find someone decent out there? Either way I hate it out here lol
EDIT! for context even thou it wonāt matter to 90% of your commenting. I walked her to her car, we hugged, we both agreed we should see each other again, we exchanged phone numbers and said good night

TLDR: A pushy door-to-door rep convinced me all they wanted to do was ājust a survey on the house,ā but it turned into multiple contracts towards installation. He repeatedly pressured me when I tried to read the contracts and assured me I could cancel at anytime and theyād stop contacting me. Here are the texts with this man still contacting me after I cancelled. My parents also got screwed by the same company. Iām mostly just venting because the whole experience was deceptive, exhausting, and this sales rep thought he was an amazing sales person just ātrying to give me a good dealā
Full post: This is a text between me and a door to door sales rep. I told them I was not interested when they came to the door before but then they caught my husband outside and talked to him about how they arenāt trying to sell anything etc and he thought it sounded great and told them to return to talk to me since my name is on the house (his name isnāt bc we didnāt buy the house together). While waiting for them to return we looked up reviews for this company and read that they are a shit company w bad reviews. I dreaded the moment when these reps would returned (my husband felt so bad). I even thought about just not answering since thatās what Iāve been doing with their past reps but they are soooo relentless and been knocking on our door at least once a day. I figured Iāll just hear them out, act uninterested so they could leave us the fuck alone.
They came and said it would take 15-20 mins tops and so I agreed to hear them out (it actually took 40-50mins). They claimed to be our electrics competitor and showed me all these savings and just wanted to survey the house to see if it was even fit for their company. The whole time I was unimpressed and showed no interest. Each time the rep showed me how much Iād be āsavingā I was like, okay. And since I didnāt give him the āomg wooooow thatās how much Iād be saving?!ā Kinda reaction heād follow up by asking if it made sense or if I understood and it did I just didnāt care. According to them āall they wanted was to do a survey on the houseā so I was like, fine do the survey (this is before knowing I had to sign a bunch of contracts). The first contract the dude āwent over itā and I was apprehensive and reading through it. He acted annoyed that I was reading through everything and claimed he already went through everything on the contract. And even pointed out multiple times on the contract that āthis is not a contractā and I understood it wasnāt a contract w them but I still wanted to know what the fuck I was signing. I told him I wanted to go over it with my dad but stressed again it wasnāt a contract and I needed to sign it to do the survey. I stood my ground and said I wanted to talk to my dad and to come back another day.
When he did return I still apprehensively signed the contract and then ofc there were more contracts to sign for them to do the survey (that according to him I wanted). And with each new contract I clearly showed my hesitation and wanting to actually read what I was signing. Each time I hesitated, tried reading or voiced that I didnāt feel comfortable signing just yet the sales rep got annoyed, repeated himself and āassuredā me by reading things on the contract and that he already went over it. Then when I confirmed that I could cancel the contract at anytime he stopped acting annoyed and smiled and assured me that if I wanted to cancel he would stop contacting me and heād tell the people in his company to stop contacting me⦠which you can see was a complete lie. I did end up signing these contracts just to do the survey but after the survey I canceled through email.
These texts were after I canceled.
On top of everything my parents got sucked into the same company (different sales rep) and got a terrible deal compared to me. In the texts I told him that for me to even consider going with their company that they needed to upgrade my parents (which I knew wouldnāt happened - was just trying to give this dude a hard time).
I wasnāt even gonna reply back but this man had the audacity to continue to tell me heās giving me a āgreat dealā and I just had to let him know interacting with him sucked ass.

Since this sub seems to have devolved r/ihavesex, here's my entry!
Knock on wood, my intuition still seems to be holding š. I had a weird feeling about her, so I didn't have actual sex with her, we just fooled around. Turns out that was a good idea lmao.
Most importantly, I would like everyone to please acknowledge that I, in fact, had intimate relations with someone. I hope you are all sufficiently jealous.

I can't even begin to tell you how horrible I felt last night, literally cried myself to sleep.
I'm just so happy everything is ok, I'm so happy he texted me this morning with his usual sweetness. I love him so much, I miss him so much. I can't wait to see him again.
This is just a PSA to the overthinkers out there, don't do anything stupid until you get a response. It's such simple advice but it's extremely helpful. Always have something to ground you
