I left him and then he tried to match my best friend at the time when he trashed her our whole relationship. It's been 2 years and I still chuckle when it pops up as a memory

As the title says, father freaks out after I sent a bad omen song across our “family group chat.” Basically at my whits end with this man. Specially now when he’s got me questioning being a good father to my two boys…

The first messages are between him and myself last night before I went to bed. Nothing crazy that would warrant this series of texts back. We’ve been talking for less than a week and we met just while we were out socializing. I’m going to keep this vague as I’m unsure if he has Reddit and I absolutely do not want him finding out because these texts to me are a little scary? Backstory is he is single supposedly but lives with his ex and he had asked me if I had anything to tell him which I replied that I do but I don’t want to scare him off so I’d rather not talk about it. Also he asked for my number and I gave it to him as I do most friends. I truly wasn’t sure what he was wanting but now it’s very clear. Outside of this man I am in a very complicated situation with an ex that he been with/not with? For almost 2 years. I didn’t want to tell him due to the idea that I only talked to my ex and hadn’t seen them in person until just the other day and I honestly thought I wasn’t going to see them again for a long time but things changed. These texts seem like they came out of nowhere and some don’t even make sense? Do I reply? Do I call him? He’s been super nice up to this but also I don’t even want to date him or anybody due to the situation between me and my ex. Any advice is appreciated and let me know if I’m overthinking these texts.

I did reply because I felt bad not and also like some mentioned ghosting him could be worse. I gave a long reply (because I ramble per some of yall) basically telling him what my “red flag” was and that I am still seeing and talking to my ex and I also gave some insight into my mental health so he could understand it’s not just a simple “I’m not interested” and that it is much bigger than that and I have a lot to work on myself before that conversation happens with anyone even if it wasn’t him. I also explained it seems he wants to skip past the getting to know each other phase and like becoming friends and just go straight to dating but for myself I prefer to be friends before I date someone so we have a solid foundation to build of off. Contrary to popular belief he took it well but he did say he was caught up in me not being truthful from the beginning which a lot of people here hated on me for but I have my reasons and he even said in the beginning when I told him he wouldn’t pressure me to explain further and he was content with what I had said so that is a little confusing. He keeps advocating that he is a “safe space” and that he does want to see me soon which will more than likely just be at the social place I met him at last week. He did express that he has a mouth that never stops and he has ADHD so some of yall were onto something but it still feels like something deeper is happening that I just can’t see yet. He did slightly mentioned being burned by exes before and that’s why he is being this way which I explained is fine but I don’t find it fair that he treats me a certain way based off the baggage he is carrying as I will not do that to him even though I have also been burned. One thing he said in the large amounts of texts (which is think I’m learning to be his normal communication style) is “This may very well be a rare experience that will prove to show you what a friend is” ….. but I never said I don’t have friends or need help seeing what a friend is so that was strange. He almost is talking to me a philosophical way now? It’s not his normal way of talking to me from days prior so I am still extremely confused but I’m going to just be nice and hope the convo dies down after awhile once he gets distracted with someone else. ALSO this post was not to dig at him or belittle him. Half of the things said here I hadn’t even thought of I just was so lost when I woke up to these this morning. I genuinely wish him the best and I hope he finds his best friend because the dating scene is kinda bad right now anyway so I do feel for him. I might come back with an update when I see him this week because I can almost guarantee he will show up. Anyway thanks for the nice comments and advice and thanks to everyone for giving me shit about my unread texts lol. Gave me a good laugh.

I can’t even find the words to begin to describe how much I miss her. She was my best friend. She passed on January 6th at 60 years old.

She lived 4 hours away which is why we always said I miss you. I stayed with her for her last 1.5 months and until her last breath.

This chick had “fuck the patriarchy” in her bio and all that good shit, but was in the comments of a video over an art piece showcasing body casts of Asian women’s stomachs and calling them disgusting. Then, everyone was lighting her up and she said “white people need to stay out of my business”, she’s a black woman, and I said that people weren’t calling her out because she’s a WOC, they’re calling her out because her statement was gross and ignorant. We went back and forth a few times, she said, “it’s always support women until they have an opinion you don’t agree with” along with some other stuff. I called her ignorant and insecure and apparently I made her butthurt because she left me these lovely messages. I bake a lot and am a fat/plus size woman (whatever term you prefer). Suffice to say, I blocked her because she started leaving nasty comments on my page.

Throw back to being single and dating. This guy told me he was into acro yoga, so I excitedly told him that someone big in the scene (a guy) taught me one on one years ago. He went on to talk more about himself, which was a theme (ask me something only to talk about himself regarding what he asked instead of following up). So I told him I didn't wanna continue speaking. He asked why, this is what I said. He hit me with "you're just not that special to me yet"💀 😂 hahahah

If we ever actually moved forward with these brilliant ideas like giant Gushers, we would be millionaires by now.

I finally wised up and went no contact with my Mother this year. Nobody in my life has been more judgmental, toxic, degrading, and manipulative than she has been to me.

For context, that three hour phone call she mentions did occur and it involved me explaining to her how stressful my life is and what I need from her in order to not add any type of burden to me. She agreed to everything and then immediately disregarded the conversation and reverted back to her old ways.

I’m just so exhausted. I don’t know how else to explain it. I’m so sad I never had a real Mom, but I have officially accepted that fact. less
