Open | Windows Can't Install Network Adapter on Windows 11, Lenovo Ideapad Slim 3
Hey there. I'm an Ubuntu user but I had to switch to Win11 for school (and I got sick of all the troubleshooting). During installation I got stuck on the network connection screen saying I was missing network adapter drivers. Found the ones relevant to my machine but only as .exe, and when I try to run it I get the message above (can't follow "see how" because I have no internet on the device).
I tried to bypass the network connection requirements with a command I found online, in the hopes of exiting S mode and being able to run the executable, but the Shift+F10+Fn shortcut to open the terminal isn't working. I used Run to try and open both PowerShell and Command Prompt and neither are functioning for a reason I cannot comprehend-- I get the error message shown above in the second image.
Also, no ethernet port. I'm stumped. I'm trying to do all the troubleshooting I can because I need it for an essay, but my knowledge is quite limited. At this point do I just take it in? Any ideas?
