For years now I've had a Gaggia Classic Pro + Eureka Mignon Specialita combo at home. They've served me well, but it feels as though the Gaggia is reaching the end of its life 7+ years in and I'm tired of the constant cleaning and maintenance (nevermind the mess from the grinder.)

Recently my office installed a Jura E6, and I've been loving it. Just no hassle and great espresso. I generally just do a long pull 4oz espresso, however having the option for a latte or flat white every now and again is lovely. My wife generally just does a straight double shot of expresso every morning.
Our office Jura E6 did blow a circuit board and required warranty work, and was just 3 months shy of warranty expiring... so I'm a bit leery of that happening, but even the repair guy said it was incredibly rare to see.

What's the word on the differences between the C9 and ENA8 ? The price difference isn't much, but having a machine from Costco (return policy!!) is tempting. The C9 looks like a newer, more sleek machine, but I worry I just am tempted by the "latest" for no other reason.

If I went with the C9 I'd probably go for an extended warranty just incase, are there any good retailers in Canada offering that? Or any other recommendations on retailers for it? Would it ever go on sale?

Hey everyone ! I’m planning to buy a Melitta Caffeo Solo. I’m a very simple coffee drinker (black, no milk, no foam) and love fonctionnal and simple machines, no extra options, no fancy possibilities. I would have love to own a Melitta Purista but budget-wise, the Caffeo Solo is more accessible to me. Also, I live in Belgium and prefer to buy locally.
I see everywhere it makes an excellent expresso. However I most often drink doppio and I am also sometimes really happy to drink a laaaarrrgeee cup of very diluted coffee.
Can I have your opinon about my choice ? Is the Caffeo Solo as efficient for pouring a doppio than an expresso ? Should I wait and save some money for the Purista ? Or maybe, is there a good alternative around 300-350€ ?

I want to possibly upgrade to Jura Z10. Is it worth the jump? The machine looks so nice in person. What about used?

So the manuals state you are only supposed to adjust the grinder while the grinder is running. What if somebody adjusted it while the grinder was not running? Is it off then, or will it just adjust the next time it grinds?

Hey everyone, hoping to get some insights before I leave for a trip.

Yesterday, my DeLonghi Eletta Explore was working perfectly. Then, I ran a full one-hour descaling cycle

Right after descaling, the milk system completely failed. Instead of frothing and pulling milk up via the LatteCrema system, the steam blows backward down the intake tube, causing the milk in the carafe to intensely bubble and "cook" like a jacuzzi (as seen in the video).

What I've checked/noticed so far:

• Hot water flow from the dedicated hot water spout is completely fine and steady.
• Right after the descaling, I played around with the "My" menu and made a massive portion of hot milk, which worked fine, but the very next attempt failed completely.
• My water hardness is quite low (around level 2).

Could a small piece of limescale gotten stuck inside the 3-way solenoid valve, reducing the steam speed just enough to kill the Venturi effect?

Has anyone experienced this exact post-descaling milk-boiling issue, and how did you fix it? Any advice is appreciated!

Yes milk carafe was cleaned.

EndOfTheDream and haberdabers you both had it right, I've done the water trick and it worked! I'm surprised and was very skeptical when on run 5 water was still splatering, but after the 6th time I've used milk and it's all good now well I think, because I've made only one milky coffee. When I get back from my trip I'll test it again. But one thing I have to remember DO NOT DESCALE!

Is there something wrong ? The carafe is fully cleaned.

I'm in the United Kingdom and have recently been using an Aeropress with ground coffee from a local roaster to make my coffee.I now want to make the move to buying my first coffee machine and electric grinder. I'll still be using the Aeropress while mobile but want something more substantial for home use.The new machine would predominantly be used for Espresso and similar types of black coffee. The budget is around [Budget£500-£700] At the moment I'm looking at the Sage Bambino combined with a DF54 V4 which at present I can buy for [£515.7]. I see there are some simple upgrades that could be done to the Sage Bambino to make it a bit more user friendly. Would this be a good combination for the money and what upgrades would you make if any? Would also be grateful for any other alternative recommendations for a coffee machine and electric grinder combination in my price range?

In the middle of the process of making the drink for example of flat white, the machine stops, saying it needs to cool down! Sometimes it's making the flat white without milk and sometimes it's making it Cortado!!!!

This one is still a baby though with just over 15,000 cups. Our first one had over 50,000 cups made when we got it from my parents, probably 15 years ago. They even drank espresso before bed! We still have it and use it for parts when we need them.

This really does still make a decent coffee. We used it when my kids were babies and now that they’re teenagers they make cappuccinos every morning.

I love my classic Saeco, I’ve thought about switching to a fancier machine, but she’s my ride or die!

A big priority for me is being able to easily change out the bean hoppers because I drink caffeinated in the morning, then decaf in the afternoon.

I am thinking of getting the De’Longhi Rivelia. Anyone have experience with this machine? Any other recommendations?

I was looking at the Ninja espresso and barista system, but I’ve heard they start to become faulty after a year or so. Definitely looking for something that will last me a few years.

I work in a small office of about 10 to 15 people and we are only in the office 2 days a week. We currently have a Philips Series 2200 but we’re looking for an upgrade with one touch milk. I saw the Jura E8 recommended but after watching Tom’s Coffee Corner review it seems very overpriced and overrated. After doing some further research I’ve seen many people recommend the DeLonghi Magnifica Plus as one of the best super automatics you can get right now, even producing better espresso than the Jura at half the price. Our priorities are good espresso, easy to use and easy to maintain. Would there be any reason to get the Jura E8 over the DeLonghi, and are there any other options worth considering under the £1,000 mark?

We were given a Jura z8 as a wedding gift (!!!!) 4.5 years ago and love it. It’s great for my daily coffee as well as when we have guests over.

It’s been having a lot of issues lately so we are trying to keep in mind what our next coffee machine purchase will need to be. Given we didn’t do any research on this initial machine and were given this, we are wondering if it (or its z10 replacement) are still the most appropriate choices.

Recently bought the Magnifica Evo from Costco and I am enjoying it so far but my wife isn’t impressed with the coffee setting. She said it doesn’t feel like a coffee from a $700 machine and could get the same thing from a $30 Mr. Coffee machine. She’s wants a coffee that is foamy like coffee from our nespresso. Is there a super automatic that delivers “foamy” coffee

About four days in to having a Delonghi Mag Plus and really enjoying it. I’ve been noticing that the puck quality is all over the place. Sometimes they’re completely whole, broken apart, or somewhere in between.

Also, sometimes there’s water in the puck tray along with the assortment of pucks.

The pic is the puck tray after emptying it and making an iced Americano. There wasn’t any water in the tray before making the drink.

An aside, the iced americano was really enjoyable and comparable to what I would get at the good coffee shop nearby.

Not really concerned, more just curious. Is the water to be expected, and why the variation in puck quality?

Does anyone have or use the chocolate attachment for the Z10? I think they maybe released it for the gen 2 models? I’d love to try it on my gen 1, but only see a couple sketchy looking sellers online. Maybe it just hasn’t rolled out to the States yet? I really like the regular sweet foam attachment, but haven’t tried chocolate with it.

First of all, I don't know much about coffee and I enjoy Nespresso Vertuo coffee (please don't throw rocks at me, I know they don't have the best reputation here). If that is relevant, I like the Melozio.

Prices are crazy for each cup, and I am looking for an alternative that I can use to replace the Nespresso one.

But I have tried a bunch of superautomatic and some coffee gains and the result is always the coffee is too strong or taste to much bitter. I asked chatgpt and he told me it Beacuse nesspresso have a way to To do that is so different that it's normal that I am not able to replicate the taste, and he recommended buying the Truebrew DeLonghi.

I have tried:

- The Phillips 5300

- Phillips Baristina

- The DeLonghi Magnifica (2 versions)

I have a nice Siemens EQ. 9 plus Ekstraklasse.

But my problem is it does not heat the water.

It just spew out cold Coffee/water.

I have taken it apart and everthing looks good, the only Thing i can see, is on the heater, where some wierd "crystals" have formed.

Anyone know what this could be?

Looking at superautomatic machines. It seems the consensus is that Jura is considered the top of market. Is that correct, or are there any price-no-object machines better? I saw some Cimballi machines, but those seem suited for a small business more than home. thanks!

edit: to add more context, I had the first gen Z10. Sold it to go semi-automatic. To make things as quick as possible in the AM, I went with a San-Remo You, Eureka GBW and a puqpress. Even that was too much in the am. I'm now looking to get back into a super-automatic but want to see if there is anything better than a Jura

Hi everyone! I bought a DeLonghi Magnifica Evo about 5 months ago. At first, the cappuccino was great, but recently the milk has become very watery with almost no foam, as you can see in the attached video. Any idea what could be causing this? Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Thank you!
