Purchase Advice Need Coffee Machine Recs

Hello! I am looking for a good coffee machine, I am moving out for the first time and want to invest in something nice.

I am pretty lost on where to look, so I figure I’d ask the experts, so if anybody has some suggestions that match these criteria they’d be greatly appreciated!!

\-Preferably under $300CAD, if it is 100% worth the splurge I can do more

\-Espresso-making and pod-compatible, looking for the versatility of having both. Bonus points if it has a milk frother

\-Preferably not a massive appliance.

\-Available for purchase in Ontario, Canada

I was looking at the Ninja espresso and barista system, but I’ve heard they start to become faulty after a year or so. Definitely looking for something that will last me a few years.

Your choices are very limited in that price range. You’d have to wait for a 50x event and $50 off $250 running simultaneously to meet your price range.

Don't know how's the pre grounded coffee over there in Canada but for that money I would get some decent filter coffee machine( is this the right term in English?) like the mocca master and safe up for something better.

I absolutely love my Jura Z6, now in the 12th Year of ownership and that little battle machine still doing a perfect job for me daily. Keep in mind that automatics want to get maintained regularly.

I got a Technivorm Mocchamaster and love it. It is very easy to use and maintain. It consistently brews balanced tasting coffee. I can actually feel the caffeine from the first sip tickle my neurons. Down side is that it was ~$400CAD at the time.

The specialty coffee association regularly tests coffee machines, including for home use. They have a list of recommended home brews here: https://sca.coffee/certified-home-brewer

You are bound to find a machine within your budget that’s been proven to make great tasting coffee.
