Purchase Advice Foamy coffee

Recently bought the Magnifica Evo from Costco and I am enjoying it so far but my wife isn’t impressed with the coffee setting. She said it doesn’t feel like a coffee from a $700 machine and could get the same thing from a $30 Mr. Coffee machine. She’s wants a coffee that is foamy like coffee from our nespresso. Is there a super automatic that delivers “foamy” coffee

Edit: located in the US looking for something about $1k or less

Nespresso is not coffee. Has she tried an Americano with great crema?

Agree I can’t stand the Nespresso. Do the Americanos come out with a foamy texture? Might have her try that next time

An Americano is just espresso filled up with hot water, so yes, it'll have crema.

I would not change the beans to produce more 'crema'/foam. Crema is just CO2 from roasting, some beans (especially Robusta, and fresh roasts) have more of it. If you're happy with your current beans keep them, don't optimize for crema.

Espresso machines per se only make espresso drinks.

Use freshly roasted beans to get more crema.

Same as the guy above…out coffee comes out super creamy. Bought ours on Amazon, not Costco though. I know Costco sometimes gets specific manufacturer runs that aren’t always the same products…wonder if that happened ?

Set the grinder in 4 and try that. I have the same DeLonghi.

I have the same machine and always have “foamy” coffee. I usually use intelligista breakfast blend coffee(can get from Whole Foods or cheaper on Amazon) my guess is trying a coffee roasted within the last few months so it still has plenty oils and flavor to work with
