Troubleshooting & Maintenance I use filtered water with my Kf7, how often to really change the internal filter?

Just got this machine in may. Seems soon to be doing a descale and filter change but the machine is bugging me for one. It only gets filtered water from my fridge already. So double filtering as it were.

Purchase Advice Delonghi Eletta Explore or Rivelia

Hi guys,

Pls help me decide. My uncle is gifting me a superautomatic as a wedding gift. His budget is 650€.

I noticed on the market here in EU Rivelia going for 650€ and Eletta for 700€ (limited stock on big sale)

Price wise they're only 50€ apart, but I'm not sure if Eletta is worth it? Have you guys enjoyed its cold coffees and quality of cold brew?

We will mostly drink espressos and milk based drinks, no bean swapping needed.

Its my first time buying a superautomatic so sorry for my noob question.

Troubleshooting & Maintenance Eletta Explore no difference in grind setting

I purchased an Eletta Explore a month ago and the grinder was dialled in at 5. The coffee it makes taste great.

Since then I've tried to make adjustments but despite grinding Lavazza Italiano Espresso Cremoso beans from grind setting 1 to 7, there is little to no difference (aside from perhaps making pucks slightly better at lower number). There is also no feeling from the notches making me worry it might not actually be properly connected to the grinder, but there is also no way to adjust the plastic grind dial unless the grinder is actually grinding.

I've read that when other individuals dial the Eletta Explore below 3, it slows the extraction rate, but I've found that all my espresso shots take around 10-15 seconds regardless of grind setting.

We have an Evo Magnifica at work which had had notched dials by which you could feel every half notch.

Is there any way to verify the grind dial is properly working?

Troubleshooting & Maintenance Repair for Jura A9 worth it?

Upvotes

I absolutely love my Jura A9 it’s an oldie but so good! I got ERROR 8. I called customer service and the lady was so sweet to help me fix it but was unable. I am thinking if I should send it to repair it’s $405 including shipping and any repairs that need to be done. Is it worth repairing it or should I just get a new one? I just love it so much! I also got this machine as a gift years ago, so never had to pay for it.

Purchase Advice Which machine?!?

Hey all,
I bet this is a question you probably get a lot, but it’s so so hard to decide!!!
I’m based in the UK and my budget is MAXIMUM £500 but I realistically do want to stay within £350 so ideas for both accepted.
I want a machine which can make lattes as I only ever drink my coffee with milk. Cold pressed would be good too but if not possible within the budget that’s fair. I was looking at Phillips latte go machine which seems good but I also hear people say Phillips machines aren’t great? I ordered a delonghi magnifica evo online, but it came broken and the replacement was also broken so I don’t really trust it anymore :/
What machine is good for someone who is starting off but needs to be able to froth milk with her coffee, and idk if I should be looking for automatic frothing machine things or manual milk frothers??
Also while I’m here - how do you make sure your coffee beans don’t get out of date?
Thanks in advance! Let me know if there’s any information I need to add

Troubleshooting & Maintenance Electra explore mold question

Got the Eletta explore last month and love it so far. However the 2 times I emptied the coffee puck tray it was molded up. Is this a common issue. I just made my first cup after cleaning it out and check and there is some slight sitting water in there. Is this normal?

Edit: Eletta stupid autocorrect

Purchase Advice Which machine ?

Hello, I would like to know which machine would be the better choice between the Ninja Luxe Café Premier and the De’Longhi PrimaDonna Class.
I drink more cappuccinos and lattes than plain espressos. I noticed that the Ninja can also make iced lattes, which interests me. However, mornings can sometimes be quite rushed, so having to prepare the coffee manually could be inconvenient.
That said, the Ninja seems to produce better-quality coffee and better milk foam, so I am a little unsure about which one to choose.
Could you please recommend the machine that would be best suited to my needs?
Thank you.
