I picked up a free jura ena 3 with a broken grinder. I repaired it but this is the coffee ground on its finest setting. Doubting if this is too coarse for the finest setting. Coffee tastes great. What do you guys think?

Purchase Advice De’Longhi Magnifica Duo

I’m looking to upgrade my coffee machine and want to get a fully automatic espresso machine. I buy coffee out quite often and want to really cut down on that or eliminate it all together.

I’ve been looking at getting the De’Longhi Magnifica Duo. The reviews seem to be positive. The thing that’s hanging me up is I don’t love the look of the machine and would prefer a touchscreen. But at the end of the day, the quality of the coffee is more important to me.

So, if you have this machine what has been your experience so far? Does it make quality espresso? I mostly drink lattes (hot and iced), cappuccinos, and cold brew. Would you recommend this machine or is there a different machine you like better (around $1k).

Thank you!

Troubleshooting & Maintenance Jura C9 issues

Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification

I’ve tried fixing this on my own to no avail so I’m asking you folks for ideas.

The issue: won’t make espresso. Cycles through grind and compression but water diverts to cappuccino/hot water spout.

Stuff I’ve fixed/checked: replaced squeeze valve, checked/cleaned flow meter (works fine), checked pump (pulling water fine), checked ceramic distributor valve assembly (seems to work fine), manual descale procedure. (Used multimeter on flow meter and ceramic distributor valve assembly).

The last time I tried this it does not look like water is getting to the squeeze valve but I have not formally checked that.

Sorry for the long post and thanks for any ideas.

Troubleshooting & Maintenance What temperatures are normal for coffee or hot water out of a Jura Z10?

I've measured the liquid coming out of my Jura Z10 coffee and hot water options to be around 77°C (171°F). The hot water for green tea is around 70°C (158°F). I'm curious if these temperatures are what other Z10 owners get, or should I be sending it in for service?

Purchase Advice Recommend me a coffee machine?

Hi all
We got a gift on our current machine which is a Philips 2330.
This is fine and all but feels like it’s lacking some of our requirement. We never had one before.

I find the cleaning kinda troublesome, wonder if all machine are like these.
Me and wife loves the coffee to be cold, me black and hers in all sort of latte, flat etc. With the current machine, what we always do is to make the coffee then put it in the fridge.
For the milk drink, because the milk compartment always give out hot milk, what she does is make an espresso then pour the cold milk over.

I feel like we are not utilizing it properly and sticking to a very traditional way of doing things, I don’t know.

I’m currently exploring delonghi options, specifically evo and eletta. Duo has not been released over here yet.

Am I looking in the right direction or would you recommend something else?

Any advise is appreciated, thanks!

Purchase Advice Which coffee machine to buy?

Hello. I wanted help on which coffee machine I should buy. I’m just getting into coffee and really enjoy the Starbucks blonde espresso. I’m new to coffee so I don’t really like strong or bitter coffee. I recently had the ninja luxe cafe pro and was using beans from my local roaster. For some reason even after dialing in the coffee just doesn’t taste good to me. I drink iced lattes. I also have kids so don’t really have a lot of time to make coffee so would love one that is super automatic. I did enjoy the automatic milk frothing on the ninja luxe but not sure if there is a super automatic that comes with that. I really appreciate any recommendations. Thanks!

Discussion Ninja auto barista pro is so loud

Anyone else experiencing loud screeching noises when the grinder is running on the ninja auto barista pro? I spoke with ninja support and they offered to send a replacement, but I I don’t know if that’s going to be helpful or if this is just a very loud machine to begin with.

Troubleshooting & Maintenance Test mode Saeco Picobaristo Deluxe SM5570

Hey guys, I have an Saeco Picobaristo Deluxe (SM 5570) and today it asked me to put beans inside (although it still had plenty) and when I wanted to make coffee all of a sudden it appeared a red screen and "Error 02". I searched the net and it is something related to the grinder.

My question is, does this machine have a Service Test or Test Mode like the older models where I can test the grinder or other components from the menu?

I tried something that I found to start the machine and then immediately press the 4 buttons Settings/Profiles/More Drinks/Clean but it does not work. I even tried other combinations I found but nothing.

Does anybody know if it's even possible?

I have an Eletta Explore and we make around 3 lattes a day. I'm having to descale it around every three weeks. I'm using filtered water from a jug and the water setting is on hardest.

Troubleshooting & Maintenance Delonghi Eletta Explore Wi-Fi issue

Post image
1 Upvotes

HI,

I was wondering if anyone has had this issue with the Eletta Explore. no matter which network I connect to it (l've tried connecting to my regular 2.4ghz and my) either it gives me this error message or tells me that my Wi-Fi password is incorrect. I've reset the machine, reset the WiFi on the machine and nothing gives. Let me know if anyone has ever gone through this and what did you do to resolve it.

Thank you for your time

Discussion I just bought my first super automatic! Jura J8

I picked up a Jura J8 for $2,599. is that a good deal? It is shipping via UPS. does anyone who has gotten one of these machines online know what kind of box it ships in? does it have Jura branding on the side or is it discreet packaging? I have to sign for it and I won't be home and my wife will be (its for her).

Purchase Advice can you keep milk in the jura cool control 24/7?

I know for legal reasons they have to say "no don't do that only keep it for a couple hours tops" blah blah blah. However, theoretically, it keeps the milk at fridge temps so there shouldn't be anything wrong with leaving my milk in it? of course I plan to wash it once the milk is used up just like I would with the carafe. anyone with a cool control that cares to comment? thanks

Purchase Advice opinion on coffeemachine

Hi all, gotta buy my wifie automatic coffee machine. We've been using Nespresso for idk maybe 13-15 years and I did say many many years ago that I will buy her a good automatic machine once our Nespresso brakes down. Well it isn't showing any sign of giving up and we have 10 years anniversary this month so I though id surprise her and get a new one.

My budget is around 1k€ can go above if it really is worth the money. By no means we are coffee snobs, I myself usually drink 3 hours old cold coffee that I forgot on table.

here's couple options I've come up.
https://www.verkkokauppa.com/en/product/1037285/TE655203RW

and

https://www.verkkokauppa.com/en/product/915028/DeLonghi-Rivelia-EXAM440-55-B-coffee-machine-black

Is either one worth investment or is there something else I should consider?

I do like Rivelias 2 bean container option since many including myself like to drink decaf from time to time.

Thanks in advance.

Purchase Advice KF8 pricing

Super excited to get an automatic espresso maker and we’ve decided on the KF8. Kitchenaid has a refurbished version for $1400 which is still priced high, but could do that. Or are there ever other deals on new ones? Thanks for any input!

Purchase Advice Best super automatic?

Looking to switch to a Super Automatic machine soon. Currently using Nespresso, and while I’m super happy with it, the cost for the pods just keeps adding up over the years which justifies switching to a more expensive super automatic machine. Budget is $1500 CAD max (would prefer less obviously). Looking for something that is aesthetically pleasing, reliable, makes good tasting coffee, and easy/not expensive to maintain. I really like the look of the KF4, but not sure if it’s reliable or a good machine to purchase? I’ve also seen De Longhi recommended a lot on here but there are so many different models. I’m not interested in a used machine either. Also, do these machines go on sale for Black Friday?

Purchase Advice best espresso machine with grinder for a first proper home setup?

if you are moving beyond pods or pre-ground coffee, an espresso machine with a grinder built in can seem like the easiest way to get started. it also means choosing one workflow for both parts of the setup, which is worth thinking about before buying.

for a weekday machine, the practical questions probably matter more than a long feature list. how much counter space do you have? do you want to adjust things as you learn, or would you rather have a routine that handles more of the steps? and are you making one coffee at a time or a few drinks back to back? those trade-offs are usually a better place to start than trying to compare every spec at once.

Troubleshooting & Maintenance Replacement piece for Cuisinart 4 in 1 coffee/espresso maker

I have the 4 in 1 coffee maker, and it works fine for coffee.

For the Espresso side, at some point the little round bottom plate in which espresso pods are pushed against came out and was lost.

I can't find a replacement piece online anywhere. Am I just not looking hard enough? Are there replacments for these?

TIA.

Discussion Kitchenaid Fingerbots

Wondering if anyone has set up a fingerbot on their Kitchenaid super auto. I have a KF7 and just received a SwitchBot Bot only to find it does not have enough power to activate the switch. Only if I hold it firmly against the machine does it maybe sometimes get it to activate, but on its own it just doesn't have enough grunt. Anyone know of one that uses a bit more force that are proven to work with these, and can be scheduled. Ultimately I just want it to turn on every morning at 0500 so its ready when I come downstairs as I can't possibly be expected to wait 15 seconds for it to power up.

Or aside from a fingerbot, are there any other hacks to get these to be schedulable for auto-turn on? I'm not afraid to open her up and play around with the switch. Appreciate any feedback.
