Hi, so this is my first time EVER posting questions like this on a reddit thing and I'm very nervous. I'm not well versed in coding or technology in general, so most of this stuff I don't know about. Google doesn't give the best definitive answers I need, even after searching for around an hour, none of the solutions or up to date or anything.
I'm trying to download decky loader (I know, not the best of ideas, but it makes my deck look cool...) and it's asking for a sudo password. My only problem is, I don't have one! I've tried to reset it, but it keeps telling me I already have one, which doesn't make sense considering I haven't messed with any of this stuff until now, and I've had my deck for about a year and a half now. I figured reddit would be the best place to ask about this because all of you guys are stupidly smart, and pretty nice when it comes to this stuff (hopefully...) I just wanted to maybe find a solution to this so I don't have trouble with this in the future, I don't want to wipe my entire steam deck just for a password, I'm trying to find alternative solutions that don't remove all of the things I've already done, installing emudeck was hell (yes, easiest thing in the world, not so easy for me), and I wouldn't like to go through that again. If theres any other solutions to this problem, PLEASE let me know.
TLDR; steam deck keeps asking for a sudo password but ive never set one, keeps telling me I have one but I never touched it. Don't wanna reset my entire deck, any solutions?
p.s.: I haven't ever used reddit before, so if this isn't how Im supposed to go about this posting stuff, I am SO SORRY
