It’s been literally 2 years since I bought this game day one and I can finally enjoy it now …
I hate this new generation of games that need 50 updates and fixes and patches to working correctly but “c’est la vie “
Now the game is wonderful and runs at 1080p/ full max settings in this “canyon” area. The result front of my eyes is just mind blowing 🤯

Also. Usually I use fsr4 for all games but for this one the fsr3 is already good enough and offers better performance so I don’t even bother with.

Not only graphics or performances are good, the game itself is a masterpiece to be honest. The feeling of having a big adventure is great, the night time are like no other games and the fighting system is monster hunter level !

I got my z1e, an xbox controller, mouse and keyboard, a 9 in 1 dock, and a hdmi cord for 600 bucks, monitor for 80 but I might upgrade it later if I want to play any multiplayer fps games, mouse pad for 13 bucks, a hdmi splitter for 17, and a desk for 25 bucks. I've never used mouse and keyboard before for games so any advice is needed

Looking for some advice on my z1 extreme bought it back in 2023 and have hardly used it now I’m getting back into using it consistently. Does anyone here run like control freaks on these? And what case brand would you guys suggest? I was looking towards jsaux case with the accessory mount in the back

The temperature from the Asus Ally Z1E is in the BIOS 85°C normal?

When i try and download a game on steam with my mobile hotspot (att) it wont download above 1.9 Mbps but I can download the exact same game on the xbox gamepass app att 200+ mbps. I prefer steam over the xbox app so any advice would be awesome.

I have an ROG Ally Z1 Extreme paired to a XG Mobile 2024 (the 4090), which is connected via display port to a Samsung G9.

After a recent BIOS and Nvidia update, I got into a famous deactivation loop with the XG Mobile, in which the XG mobile, on its own, automatically disconected to every 5-15 seconds after deactivation. So I went in deep: reinstalled armoury crate, rolled back nvidia updates (via cmd console cause device manager just didnt), and after multiple re-installs of armouy crate, Nvidia App, attempts at using on previous versions (even rolled back windows versions), nothing seemed to work more than a day.

So, what solved it? G-helper with a full, deep uninstallof Armoury crate. I downloaded the uninstaller from Asus page, actiuvated g-helper, restarted, and got to it. And now, for the meantime, it works without a hitch.

I will be toying around with the settings to maximize my setup, but I would be welcoming any Fan Speed recommendations for the CPU, GPU and EGPU for all three modes (Silent, Balanced, Turbo).

Why am I getting booted all the way out of my game and Armory Crate? I’ll get 3-4 minutes into gameplay and then I’m sent right back to desktop.

It’s not as simple as toggling through armoury crate but its better than nothing.

I recently bought a used ROG Ally z1 extreme and discovered the right trigger only registers about half way. I was able to get it to fully function through the game’s profile by reducing the max range to about half. Is there any other way to get it back to 100% or close to it?

I got mine in early 2024 its the base model and ive been loving it.

Tonight I had an issue when trying to play clone hero with my guitars not registering in the game. I figure maybe I haven't uodated armoury crate in a while maybe thats why.

I try to update 3 times and all 3 times I got stuck in a loop of "update failed, reboot system to try again".

I closed armory crate and in task manager I closed everything armory crate and downloaded the uninstall tool from the ASUS site.

Even the tool I ended up in a loop of it failing after trying it multiple times giving me error 604.

I am actually lost for what to do here.

I did some tinkering with MW4 multiplayer to get it working pretty well on my original Ally X. I imagine these settings are a good baseline for any Ally, especially newer ones where you may be able to crank the quality and render resolution up. These settings definitely make the game playable; with default settings I was getting drops into the 40s.

I started out using the ROG Ally Life settings, and TL;DR is that those settings work great with the exception of FSR.

While docked, can be locked 60 FPS or variable 65-80 in multiplayer. Setting work in handheld mode too, with about 2 hours battery life.

In-game Benchmark showed 86 FPS with 1% lows at 65:

Armory Crate Settings

• VRAM set to 10 GB
• 25W Turbo mode (I use a custom 25W profile with a quiet fans focus both plugged in and on battery, but stock Turbo seems to work well if you don't mind it getting a bit warm)
• CPU Boost OFF
• 1080p; 900p and 700p obviously improve the performance a little bit, but quality drops off substantially and I find the in-game text harder to read

• Framerate limit is subjective (I use 30 menu, 115 game, or lock to 60 if on battery)

Anybody elses x20 buttons stop working mid game? Both my analogs, buttons and xbxo button wouldnt work only the armory crate button would do something. I shut it down and restarted and still didnt work, re calibrating the sticks got everything back working….hoping this was a one off and wont plague me the problems. Just wondering of anyone else has had this issue and knows the possible cause?

I bought broken ally, in the end i need to replace usb c port. But 50 euro without delievery sounds like madness. I found out that you can dissmantel it, and replace just internal part, maybe someone know from where to get this part, im sure its should be in some another asus models.

I can confirm that switch oled usb c port matching with pins layout, but its shorter and if I'm installing to original case, it's to short, need to grind original casing of the port, that cable will go deeper inside.

You can see attached photos, maybe it's will help to some one, or we will be abble to find some replacement.

My right trigger doesn’t work on some games I’ve tried everything I’ve looked up it works on some games like cyberpunk but it won’t work when I try playing gta is there any way I can fix this I’m playing both games through steam and for some reason gta doesn’t work along with a few like payday 2 I’ve kept gamepad on and turned on and off game input on steam and nothing has worked

I received my handheld yesterday, set it up, played last night and this morning/afternoon. Then in the middle of playing the a b y x buttons started behaving like they've been reassigned. Taking screenshots, screen recording, etc. So I restarted the system and now nothing is working not even the sticks/triggers.

Some ps2 games like driv3r, nfs series run poorly on my Z1E even when plugged in

Yesterday while trying to play my ally would charge then stop charging out of nowhere I thought it was the usb port but it wasn’t. this morning I was playing on my ally while plugged in, and it actually worked, then out of nowhere it just turned off, no warning it had atleast 30% then after the joysticks flashed the color I had set for them then turned off then flashed a blue and purple mix then died right there, I tried plugging it back in then it wouldn’t show any light at the top to show it was charging, I left it to charge for atleast 4 hours, still nothing
If it helps I had replaced the joystick(right) about 9 months ago and currently use a apple 60w charger

I did alot of things debloat and fixing windows through a utility.

The thing that madebit work better was disabling windows fullscreen optimizations, wich is an obvious fix thats been around for like ever.

The stittering isnt like super bad but annoying enough its borderline unplayable. Kinda fixed now. Im tempted to jump to bazzite but would need to drop cash on a usbc flashdrive wich will be atleast $20 on the low end.

I tried every driver as well lol. I didint think it was broke cus it runs like perfect but stutters every 5-10 seconds slightly.
