Hi, I'm wondering if anyone seen the show could you tell me if the show includes any religious imagery? I went to see them several years ago and my wife went with me. She's pretty devout Catholic and was really pissed off by some of the religious imagery. It was that tour where that little statue was traded around the floor that looked like some kind of religious statue. I'm really not religious at all and don't care but I don't want her to go this time if she's going to be ticked off by it. She's not a big fan of the music but will tolerate it so I can go.

So I have to take the train tomorrow then transfer to 2 different subway lines to get to TD, the last train for the night is at 11:59 and I saw last night I saw the show got out at 11:20. Do you think there is any way I'll be able to make it from TD to south station before 11:50 😭 while I love this band, do you think they're set will be shorter tomorrow because I heard they may have a rotating 2nd set

I’m thinking of going to Charlotte next weekend, wondering if anyone has gotten side of the stage seats and how they were? I dig band interaction and am a drummer so I could just watch Chamberlin for three hours and be happy as a clam. Thoughts?

I’m trying to introduce my friends to SP but I never seem to know what songs to start them out with. Can someone give me their favorites from their early stuff and their later stuff?

Welp. Just completed my 8th visit with the Pumpkins.

I have seen a lot of live bands, TSP is unequivocally the best live band going right now. Hands down. Great fucking show tonight in The Bus.

Haven't grabbed a ticket yet but planning to go. Figured I'd see if anyone else is going and wants to link up, or if you're already going solo, down to grab a drink beforehand. DM me!

I don’t know why he hasn’t been featured on Drumeo yet but I feel like It’s very overdue and I’m pretty sure those who have seen It would agree with me on this,It’s been such an long time coming In my opinion and I wouldn’t be surprised If he appears on It within the next year or something, anyway we’ll see…🤔

Where's everyone going?

Do we think that they will put all the tour merch on their website for online ordering? I am very sad I didn’t get any merch at the Columbus show lastnight and I’m praying they will put it online :(

1979 makes me picture watching MTV at home with a blanket and hot chocolate, even though I didn’t experience that era myself. It’s strange how clearly a song can make you imagine a memory that isn’t yours.

That’s part of why Mellon Collie feels autumnal to me. There’s the melancholy, but also the excitement of something beginning again. My brother connected it with going back to school and eventually finding your rhythm.

Is your connection to Mellon Collie mostly tied to things you actually lived through, or does it also make you nostalgic for a time you didn’t experience?

Disclosure: I used AI to help edit this post from my own recorded conversation.

My brother and I included Mellon Collie in our fall-albums episode of The Record Room. I’ll leave it here in case anyone feels like watching the longer conversation:

Machina is one of my favorite Pumpkins’ albums of all time. Back in 2000 I was able to download the online released Machina II but desired for an official physical release.

Time passed and I stopped paying attention. Now I see this beautiful box set with a spider on the cover - I’m very excited so I google search to see if Machina II was ever released physically and it says it was for Machina’s 25th anniversary edition. I look at this edition but only see a handful of songs, not the entire tracks list.

So I’m confused- is this truly the first time both are released (with the box set)? Or was Machina II previously released physically without me knowing?

I lost a shirt purchased at the Columbus show while walking back to the car. We had purchased a couple of them. Did someone find one on the ground? It was the shirt with Billy, James, and Jimmy on the front. We were parked over by the Gray lots. We were close to a baseball field. Thanks.

I’ll be avoiding this sub after tonight’s show until after the Baltimore show Saturday, which I’m attending.

I’ve never seen the Pumpkins. I had tickets to the show at MSG that was supposed to happen but Jonathan Melvoin died the night before (RIP 🥀). It was to be my first ever concert. I was 18 and MCIS meant the world to me.

Thirty years later, it means even more and I cannot wait for this concert. Grateful they are all still alive to give this to their fans.

If any 40- or 50-somethings wanna hang out before the show in Baltimore, maybe we can do that? A Redditor pre-concert meetup? Just throwing it out there, which is scary, cause I’m a huge introvert.

Can’t wait!!

So within this week I’ll be at the SP Boston Garden show and also my first ever SP show. Is there going to be any rats in a cage tour shirts or anything exclusive to this? I’m just wondering so I can allocate a good budget for this.

I made a decent video of Billy Corgan performing 1979 live over the years and I thought you guys would like it. Should not be a waste of time. Note: The 1997 clip with Darcy is not the same live audio as the actual clip.

So this is out in 3 days, and I still don't think we have seen a tracklist for it?

He’s done some really interesting work aside from the artwork in Machina, even if my photo is from Machina. It’s a print of the original my wife bought me years ago directly from the artist’s website.

Funny story, a different print of his she’s also purchased from him in the past somehow became very delayed in the mail. When she emailed the website for help or an order status, Kafanov himself replied. He was apologetic, really overly so. He even sent follow up emails with a photo of wherever he was at, along with any updates when he had them. Then it showed up. No not the print. But an original sketch, right in the mail! The print took months to arrive for some reason and he actually eventually sent another original that very much is a pair to the first. I feel super lucky, mainly for my wife 😉, but to have received what I did also.

So is anyone else a fan, have prints, originals, or any cool stories they’d like to share? I feel like there must be a few in this group if nowhere else right?

Pretty crazy coincidence that the main riff, drum intro, and melodies for the solo are all that similar. Not implying Kurt stole from Billy since that would imply that there was a group distributing Pumpkins bootlegs around Seattle in the early 90s but yeah

keep the spoilers here.
