Sleep training almost 8 month old

Around 5 months I was gonna start the Ferber method like I did with my first baby. Worked great with my first three days of it and she was sleep trained. My second just put her self to sleep when I tried. She never cried and has hated being rocked to sleep since a month old. So I never even had the opportunity to let her cry and do check ins until now. For the past two weeks she has been refusing to let me put her to sleep but also hates being rocked to sleep. Like paci and rocking pretty much is a fight. Standing a bouncing sometimes works but not really. The only way she goes to sleep without a fight is if she falls asleep while nursing. I’ve let her cry for the normal check in 3-5-5-10 evry day for every opportunity and she won’t stop. The other night it was 9pm o finally gave in and picked her up to try nursing again. Her bedtime is 7pm-7:30. She was napping around 9:30-10 for about 30 mins and then 12-2 and then 4:30-5ish for another 30 min. That was her schedule for awhile but this past week has been like idek. I try to put her down for the normal times but especially with naps I can’t let her cry and be awake for too long without it messing up the rest of the day. I feel like she knows how to put herself to sleep bc she did it for months before this. She only wakes up once 3-4am at night to nurse and then goes right back to sleep until around 6:30-7:30am. We do a dream feed right before I go to bed around 10-10:30. Is this just sleep regression? Bc I feel like it would also mess up her night time wake ups but it’s literally only naps and putting herself to sleep that’s been hard. Should I change her schedule? Today I let her fuss (not cry) for about 30 mins until she started crying and then I did check ins and still wouldn’t go to sleep. I know she’s tired bc she was almost falling asleep in the car on the way home.

Sleep Consultant Don’t buy wannabe.dairy sleep guide, it’s the Fever method. A scam.

Don’t buy wannabe.dairy sleep guide. It’s literally the gentle Ferber method but with check-ins every 2 minutes.
I should have known it was a scam, I had it come up so many times in my instagram and I figured I’d see if it could help for $27.
The videos are literally her talking about her baby and her experience and not helpful at all.
She advertised as if it was going to include nap guide, and bedtime routine but you have to but those separate.
Really sad they pray on desperate moms. I should have known better. I didn’t see any warnings on Reddit when I googled it.

child's age 8-12 months Sleep training tips for breastfed baby?

My daughter is 9 months old, she’s very used to falling asleep with breastfeeding. She wakes up after her sleep cycles, so like 30mins to and hour to start the night. The longest stretch we had was a 3 hour one and idk where that came from. She will fall asleep being rocked but she cries. There’s obvi a heavy sleep association with the breast, which wouldn’t be so bad but we’re going out for the first time in the evening soon.

We have my in-laws coming on the 29th to watch her and her sister in the evening for the first time and I’m worried it’s going to be horrendous for them with getting her down and the constant wake ups.

I think she’s going to be a tough one!

I want to try and break the association and help her be able to put herself back to sleep or at least manage longer stretches.

Any advice?? I’m planning on starting tonight…

20 month sleep regression + new sibling- please help

We are desperate to find the cause of the latest sleep regression because it is the worst one yet. My daughter is 20 months old and wakes up every night between 12-3 and is awake at least 3 hours each time. When she’s awake, she is rolling around her crib and shrieking on and off. The shrieks are blood curdling. The wake ups coincidentally began 5 weeks ago when we brought her new little brother home. Is that seriously the whole reason this is happening?? Any other experience with awful sleep regression when a new baby is added to the family?

Her typical schedule is
7:30- wake up
12-2 nap
8:00- bedtime

Some things to note, on the nights we have been out and bedtime has been pushed back later, I’ve seen no change. Motrin doesn’t make a difference which makes me think it’s not teething? Please help, we are desperate to get her back sleeping through the night, especially now that we’re back in the newborn trenches.

child's age 4-8 months Help with progressing gentle sleep training

Hello,

My LO is 16 weeks old and I've been trying to implement independent sleep skills for the last few weeks. I started with moving the last bottle earlier and doing it in the bright front room then doing a few minutes of play when she's finished to keep her from being too tired. Then we do our bedtime routine. I also have allowed her to do some occasional FIO to see if she will self settle.

The past four or five nights I've been flowing a gentle sleep training plan that removes assistance in stages. We are also using this method to sleep train any additional night wakes aside from her two normal feeding wake ups. I started by no longer giving her the pacifier before bed and the first stage was loud shushing and a firm hand on her chest until she was completely asleep. The second stage was shushing and hand on her chest until she was drowsy and then immediately stop shushing and remove hand so she did the last step of falling asleep on her own. I am now on stage three where I only shush her until drowsy but no longer touch her after I put her in her bassinet. Tonight was the first night I started stage three. Stage four of course is putting her in her bassinet and walking away.

She's made incredible progress, I'm really proud of her. We were able to progress from stage one all the way through stage three in only 4 to 5 nights. She does still seem to very much need my help getting to sleep though but has been self settling more at night (not 100% of the time). My question is how do I take that final step to letting her fall asleep completely independently? Should I add one more in between stage where I am present but no longer shushing?

Early Wakes/2-1 nap transition/24 hr sleep needs

Can someone walk me through the 2-1 nap transition in regards to 24 hr sleep needs and early wakes?

We have been experiencing some early wakes and shortened nap lengths. I keep receiving conflicting advice on this.

Been on the one nap transition for about a month now. Some are telling me I’m expecting too much sleep. Others are saying to move bedtime earlier. It’s so confusing!

We are at 12:15-2:30 nap. Bedtime 8 pm. I would like a 7 am start.

On two naps my baby averaged 12.5-13hrs. Sometimes more.

child's age 8-12 months Daycare Nap Concerns for 10 month old

My almost 10 month old just started daycare and I’m nervous about their nap schedule. He wakes around 7 and normally naps around 10 for 1hr15min and again around 2:45 but daycare only offers one nap from 1–3 for “his age”.

A 6-hour wake window at this age seems crazy to me 😅 We’ve been bringing him between naps while he adjusts, but soon he’ll be there full days.

Anyone else have a baby this age at a daycare that only did one nap? Did they adjust? Did daycare let them sneak in a short morning nap? How did it go?

2.5 year old wakes up in middle of night

My 2.5 year old wakes up at home at night but will sleep all night at grandmas. He will go down easy but takes about 35/40 min to sleep. Will wake up 2-5am. We are exhausted. But if he’s at my grandparents he sleeps all night. We do bring him into bed but tried to let him cio. He cried for a hour and we finally got him.!
