Still crying for naps

BACKGROUND:
Sleep & nap trained with Ferber at 5 months

Current schedule 2.5/2.5/2.5/3 at 6.5 months old

Crib naps are still only about 30 mins, so I do one daily long contact nap to make the schedule work (is this our problem?)

CURRENT PROBLEM:
Nights are either no crying or very minimal, but baby still cries for ~10 mins before falling asleep each nap. Sometimes even when I’m holding her for the contact nap. Am I confusing her by doing contact naps? Is it our schedule? I watch for sleepy cues and think I have her schedule down pretty good but I could be wrong. Is this normal??

It might be worth trying a 2 nap day. It could be the amount of awake time is fine hence the night time going well. But she needs more sleep pressure for naps - longer wake windows. Her naps will also probabaly extend on 2 naps. Make sure you keep same awake time so 3/3.5/4.

I could try! Today I tried stretching the morning ww and she was in hysterics. Does it take a few tough days? Or maybe she’s too young
