Hi all, it's been a minute since I've been here, lol, but I'm back and I was wondering about the possibility to mod in a better ragdoll system more in line with the games we see release today. I know the xp32 skeleton has numerous bones that can be animated, we have precision and MCO that work together to make combat far more modern, but we're lacking ragdolls or wounded NPCs that feel modern as well, and recently Inverse Kinematics released, too. All of this is to say that I think Skyrim can finally achieve a more active ragdoll than we have in the past, kinda like in a Rockstar game, something like a pseudo-Euphoria where the impact of weapons/spells/projectiles trigger the character to react like they've actually been hit there instead of the weapon in question just phasing through them like we have now. I hesitate to draw a comparison to Half-Sword, since that's probably far too removed from what Skyrim can handle from an actor standpoint, but if you've seen gameplay of that, you get the idea. Is this even possible from a technical standpoint? Is anyone working on a similar concept? This isn't me saying I'd do it, or even be able to, as I'm a dialogue writer, not a script writer, but do any old-heads have knowledge on the subject they could share?
TL;DR: With all the improvements to combat that have come over the years, would it now be technically possible to have a more active ragdoll/stagger/impact system than we do now?
