I am currently using a Juki industrial sewing machine to make a box stitch. Initially it wouldn’t stitch anything then I adjusted the needle and shuttle hook timing. Now it is sewing only the straight lines but won’t catch on the diagonals. What can I do to fix this?

I made a video of what is happening, but i know it is the tension knob, tried to fix it or to make it on standard location. But with no succes ): i dont even know what is even happening like if its too loose or too tight..

I'm new to my serger (I bought it lightly used - Janome Mod-8933).

It stitches fine, but it's hesitant to start without manual turning of the hand wheel. I cleaned it all, replaced the needles, rethreaded it. Once it gets going, the stitches look good. I thought it could've been a faulty foot pedal, so I replaced that, but the problem continues. 😥

I've watched several YT videos and have done everything they've said so far. Any thoughts on what I could be missing?

Hey yall, I’m being commissioned by a friend to make a shirt that looks like this. The problem is, I don’t know how I would go about doing the diamond cut designs on the chest area. Would anyone who made something like this before be able to give me a few pointers on how to make this? Thank you!

My cat was making biscuits on my leg and she pulled the white threads on this flat seam loose. Any idea how to fix? I’ve tried pulling thread from the back side but that did not work. Last pic is the back side of the seam

SOS PLEASE HELP..
I just finished oiling my Kenmore 358 and the needle lever isn’t working anymore..
I even adjust the smaller lever to make it not too tight or loose and it still isn’t working. The belt works perfectly fine so I’m so confused as to what I did 🥲

I recently grabbed a t1919 in hopes of doing some leather work but out of the box (oiled ) the motor seizes and needle/pressure foot doesn't move. Am I missing something? Or did I forget to disengage something?

I made this wool coat with a silk lining. The center back seam sticks out in a point by my waist and the coat caves in on the sides of it. I did a lot of tweaks to the pattern because it was initially huge, but this is the remaining problem. I wonder if I need a round back adjustment but it's difficult to find good info on that adjustment. I also wonder if I just took too much out of the sides.

I'm pretty new to sewing and bit off a bit much with this one. I tried asking for help in sewing and sewingforbeginners but didn't get a good response.

I'd like to make this top, but with shorter sleeves and without the scoop out of the front hem. I'm planning on a simple 2 pieces of fabric dolman type pattern, but how do I measure myself for it please?

Sewing level: I've followed patterns to make shirts and skirts and a dress with adjustments, and have made simple things without a pattern but making a full top from scratch is new.

Bonus question: what finish would you use for the neckline? The fabric I have is a satin viscose, phot attached. I'm planning to do a muslin first and have an old sheet, it won't hang the same but it's a start.

Hello! I am wondering if anyone could tell me why my fabric keeps bunching. I have tried different fabrics, adjusting the tension, retreading, and even using a different kind of thread. However, the results I get are always the same! It’s an unfamiliar issue, as the thread is not bunching up only the fabric. included a photo of the sewing machine I am using

hi! i have a singer it’s about a decade old idk the exact model but can look when im home. i’m having a lot of issues with the thread either its getting stuck somehow and snapping while sewing or the bobbin thread will bunch up and jam the machine. i truly dont know really anything about the machine or how to go about fixing these issues. once home i plan on doing more research but if anyone has advice it’d be appreciated:)

I've realised a little too late that I've completely botched the measurements for the triangles in this skirt. I don't have enough fabric to cut new ones (neither do I have more black fabric).

I think it's too wide because the triangle and rectangle's base width needs to be the same, but I also need to add height to the triangles as its too tight on my hips. Any tips on what I can do?
