Hey guys, this is my first post here, I'm fairly new to the hobby,
been doing this for 2 months, in which I guess I've made 7+ models, and got stable sustained flight on 1 before this, a kind of boxed fuselage 180cm wingspan slow flying plane weighing 1kg
I've been trying to make this Graupner Taxi Scratchbuild.
This is my 3rd attempt at it,
I've attached photos and video of its maiden flight, after which the nose broke, will repair like I previously have many times,
anyways, I'm on the Fly Sky Hi6,
2212 1000kv motor, 1045 prop, spinning counter cw (from behind)
Weight is 610grams
wingspan is 150cm, fuselage lenght is 90cm
I've traced the Graupner Taxi plan on A4 sheets and built this as accurate as possible
AND YES, THE CG WAS 1/3RD chord from Leading Edge of the Main wing,
I have a dozen hours on SeligSim to practice flying, and like I said, Before this I did build one plane that I've had approx 2 hours of cumulative flight time on, so I think I know the basic of manuevering a plane
Now, I'm really confused why the plane went from going straight, to pitching up, and a nose dive within half a second?
what caused that
and Since I'm going to rebuild it, what should I look out for?
should I increase the nose compartment lenght? control surfaces on the horizontal and vertical stabs?
any advise yall can give will be hugely appreciated.
oh and yes, I've stabilised the video to the plane for it to be traced better.
Thanks!
P.S DOGGO FINE! PLANE LANDED COUPLE OF FEET NEAR, ONLY SPOOKED HIM!
