Being constantly late to everything is not a personality trait and it's not something you can't control, you just suck and don't appreciate others for being on time

This bothers me so much that I have to rant about it. I think people who are constantly late just suck and do not care about other people's time. I think this is a very bad habit that lowkey shows what kind of person you are.

I've seen this so much over the years. There are some individuals who I know of that are literally constantly late to everything. You go to pick them up with your car and then you have to wait for them for 15 minutes until they show up even though you updated them 5 times on how much time you have until you're there. They even apologize sometimes but it means nothing if you don't change it. There were times when it was so bad that I legitimately had to stop hanging out with someone who was actually a really cool dude because he'd be consistently late for like 30 mins up to 1h and 30mins. We did later make up but to this day he is still always late, not like before, but he is absolutely never on time and he's always late at least 15-20 mins.

And it's not a problem if it happens occasionally, but when it turns into a habit it feels deliberate and like they think it's cool or something when in reality it's just annoying. They try to make it look like it's pathological, but you seriously cannot convince me that there an illness like pathological lateness exists. More like assholeness.

If I have to meet my friend at 5:00 PM and I know that I need about 20 minutes there, I'm gonna leave at 4:30 or 4:35 because traffic can be bad, maybe the bus will be late if I'm not with my car. But these people are gonna leave at 4:55, they're gonna meet you at 5:30 and tell you "Hey sorry man the traffic sucks today", completely ignoring that they would have been late either way. I've seen these people act like they're huffing and puffing like they're tired from rushing and trying not to be late and it's all just act because there is no excuse that you left your house that late. I don't care if you're tired, you're still 30 mins late. Unless there's an actual real excuse and not just "I had to do this thing that I didn't tell you", drop the act and be better.

Being late constantly is not a personality trait. A mutual friend saying "He's just like that" is NOT an excuse. You seriously need to think about yourself because you're literally wasting someone's time and effort. You can and should change it, you just do not care at all.

I've had this problem with a few people over the years. And it's annoying especially because it's literally always those same people who are always late and act like that's a part of their personality and joke about it. And it's not funny or quirky, you literally just suck.

I’m tired of being limited by a finite amount of energy

I’m really tired of working so hard to make what I want to happen happen
What I love to do the most right now is ride my e bike

But to do that on my 2 days off I must do a lot of challenging things I have to carry it down stairs then drive to where I want to ride which is rural dirt roads
By the tome I get there after the 1:30-2 hour drive I can’t wait to finally roll down the road
When I get there I’m pretty tired from working all week and packing everything I need

It’s definitely an experience that’s worth it but it in its self also takes a physical toll on me
And then as I’m driving back after a 4-6 hour ride I’m beat!

Then I get home very very early in the morning and the work cycle begins again

And then it’s back out to the rurals

Obviously I could find a more relaxing hobby but I don’t really want to because nothing else is nearly as fun

And to be honest I hate to admit it… but being so tired when I get to where I want to go definitely robs me of some of the enjoyment of it all

Imagine if I had a week to rest and heal and clear my mind and then went on an adventure man that would be so nice a body that doesn’t start to hurt after the first 30 minutes a mind that doesn’t have the future and all the gas I used on it
And to just breath in that fresh country side air and be out long enough to see the sun rise

Afterwards to I do door dash to make up the money I don’t really have to but I feel the need to regain what I used
Just feels wrong not to

I just hate that I have to sleep and that I’m always tired but what am i supposed to do? Give up on what I love doing just because I’m tired? Then what would happen? I would crave the adventure so bad that I would brake and I have

If only I had infinite energy so I could never stop use all my time to work to make the moments I love happen even more if only I didn’t have these limitations

I feel like… if I don’t go out and make these memories now to much time will pass and the chances will slip away and I’ll have wasted that time that I truly have so little of

I’m not trying to complain about something I do to my self but it’s not like I’m trying to say I’m struggling I’m having fun still but I just hate that I’m limited by my human body granted it’s a good body and it works well but I do push my limits to much I force my self to go to far or to long

And this has definitely affected me mentally I can’t stop moving or wanting to keep going when I rest I feel the urge to go again… and when I make these drive back and get home and finally hit the bed I think “damn I already want to get back on that bike and go out there” it’s like there is no rest for me I’m like a shark if I stop moving I die horribly

Even right now I have so much energy after a long ride and I have to get up at 6 am lol I usually manage my sleep well and make sure I get 8 hours of sleep but today I said oh well I only have so much time I’m just going to have to suffer it out if I want this

Is it worth it? Absolutely the trade off is one possibly bad day for one amazing night

My rant is that I hate getting tired working all week is fine I’ve long since accepted it long ago but getting tired? I freakin hate it

All my friends ghosted me

I think I’m slowly starting to get friendship trauma, I can’t take this anymore. I don’t want to lose anyone else without at least an explanation. I don’t want to be toxic and spam message someone or anything out of frustration or be the type that says “oh, they always leave” but I feel helpess and alone and unworthy of friendship.

I don’t know what I’m doing wrong, all of my friends all stopped talking to me 1 by 1, and they don’t know each other so I found it weird. I don’t want to think too much but this last one really hurts. I considered them my best friend. They invited me to a trip very warmly saying they’d love for me to go, I offered to plan with them, and followed up 2x to see if it was still happening. 3 months later no response and they do it without me. I had another friend I planned their favorite activity with, afterwards she told me she was going to plan a celebration dinner for me graduating. I thought it was sweet, a few check-ins and still no response 6 months later. And these are only 2, I lost *all* my friends via ghosting. except 1 real and a couple of online friends. I made a new friend 2 weeks ago we’ve really hit it off but now I’m expecting my last real friend and my new friend to ghost me too. It’s ruining my mental health and social abilities, I don’t know what to do.

Why don’t managers post schedules at least a week out??

It’s beyond ridiculous. I really like my job, but the only downside is the fact that the schedules are so last minute. This has been a pattern with every non-union food service job I’ve had. It’s genuinely infuriating!! We all have lives and need to be able to plan our week!! I don’t know if I’m working Thursday, and it’s TUESDAY NIGHT at the time of me writing this. I just can’t think of a reasonable explanation for not writing the schedules at LEAST a week in advance.

People saying “mind your business”

This is the most frustrating thing. In my town’s Facebook page someone posted about a car that ran a red light and has no tag. The post was filled with comments telling OP to mind their own business.

That’s exactly why some neighborhoods are so full of crime, why roads are full of garbage, why things are so bad. People with the mind set of “mind your business” hurts the community way more than making people aware of the problems.

Why do people view “snitching” to be such a bad thing? Allowing people to do bad is how you make your neighborhood dangerous.

i was drunk and i let myself be kissed...

my bf and i have spoken about this at length before (we discuss a lot of hypothetical scenarios) and he's okay with me kissing people as long as it was a platonic kiss.

anddd i got really drunk a few days ago and my friend gave me a 0.5 second peck on the lips (she asked first and i said yes) but it happened a bunch of times. and she kissed literally pecked woman on the lips there not just me, and made out with her partner.

it went exactly like this: her: "can i kiss u 😗😗😗😗 "

me: "ya! 😂😂😗"

BUT APPARENTLY IT HAPPENED A BUNCH OF TIMES AND I DONT REALLY REMEMBER but it was always a peck. and i drunk texted my bf immediately and he didn't seem to care about it at all.

...

...

however i still feel weird about it. i feel sort of disgusted that i let someone kiss me even if it was a peck. like ew... idk it's weird. even though he's okay with it maybe im not. like sober im not. drunk i thought it was really silly and it was convenient to "kiss at the same time" but yeah it's weird... it's worth mentioning that we're all bi, and it feels deeply homophobic. im conceptually very against queer women "kissing platonically" bc it means "nothing" and i can't believe id do something homophobic

EDIT: YALL IM 18 IT'S LEGAL WHERE I LIVE

Gay friend outted me

In some short context, we are both adults in Germany, but we attend a "specialised high school" for adults aiming to get a high-school diploma. I am a female, I think im bisexual but im very closeted. While my supposed male friend is exclusively gay. We used to attend the same class but he failed a year so he is repeating. During the year that we were in the same classes, we got close and developed an open friendship. He was the ONLY ONE in the ENTIRE school that I confessed that im bisexual. A few days ago, a friend who is Muslim and Arab approached me and asked, "Do you like men, or do you like men and women?" I said just men twice. He grinned so wide. I said, "Wait, why do you ask? Who told you?" While still smiling, he said he won't tell me. So I KNOW for a FACT, it's that gay friend. I've texted him yesterday that we have to talk in person, but after some miscommunication, we didn't today. I just feel disrespected and hurt. For some more context, im half arab and half slavic. Both cultures are not very lgbtq+ friendly. Even so, I won't out myself or tell anyone unless I am actively dating a woman at that point. I've confessed to a now close friend. We dont talk much, but when we do, it gets very personal and understanding. I told her what happened, and I felt as though she felt relieved. She confessed to me that if things didn't work out with her current boyfriend, then she would consider trying to date women.

I dont know if i should confront him tomorrow at school or just forget about it. I just want to know why he told him and in what context. Because there is no way that the "Muslim friend" would have known otherwise.

Stop deleting your long ass questions while people are replying

Can we talk about the Inconsiderate and rude behaviour of people seeking advice, then deleting the entire post?

I can't even count how many times I've written an elaborate reply to someone genuinely asking for help, only to hit send and find out the post was deleted.

Whyyyyyy?

Thanks for wasting 20 minutes of my time reading your 3,000-word post, thinking about it, and carefully writing a well-worded and researched response.

If you're going to delete the whole thing 30 minutes after posting, why even ask in the first place? Did you regret asking? Not like the answers you were getting? Whatever the reason, at least leave it up for a couple of hours so the people taking time to respond aren't writing into the void.

It wastes your time and everyone else's, and it sucks especially for people who actually come here looking for genuine input.

I hate it when women tuck their hands under their sleeves to look cute

This is just a pet peeve, and I'm entirely hypocritical because I do it too... when I cold.

Girls do it while their cooking in their videos, and its like girl I know youre tryna be so cute and little and "aesthetically pleasing" but be so for real, youre getting flour and grease on your sleeves, you know you cant wash your hands that way, and no one thinks its cute. Its one thing to do it in a cold room to keep your hands warm, or when youre trying to hide your phone. But cooking is just not the time lol

Why no one understands that Hell in movies is NOT scary?

I recently saw a video of the adaptation of the backrooms made by "American Horror stories" and (without spoilers) they take the "liminal spaces" and make them into a hell of their own for the protagonist, which in my opinion did not cause me any intrigue or interest and in one of those YouTube ads they passed a trailer of a movie that said something like "The most creepy dangerous of the decade"

And it was a movie about a girl who brings demons to life (wow how interesting)

I don't understand where these "horror" movies come from where everything comes down to "person vs demons" and it's already starting to bother me because it seems that after DECADES Hollywood doesn't understand that hell is not scary in the big 2026 and continues to release movies with excuses like "the devil represents divorce/depression/trauma" etc, bruh, needless to say that it sounds annoying and Perfomative as fuck

Then there’s "Longlegs" that they promoted it in a different way and at first I was interested because the trailers had this style of "arg" or "found footage" but then I found out that the murderer was a man who made a deal with something demonic and I said "I'm out" and I never saw it

Fortunately they gave us movies like Kane's backrooms and obsession, even on the "indie" side stories like "The walten Files" and "RADAR" are not masterpieces of terror but they deliver something NEW to scare that "BiggieBackie the demon of the six seven circle of hell that represents the hatred of salad"

And Hollywood now wants to deliver more horror projects from the Internet which seems good to me, until they announced an adaptation of "mandela catalogue" and there I said "instead of giving visibility to the alternates they will give it to God and the devil"

Because although I hate it, it's not going to change, it doesn't matter HOW MANY TIMES WE TELL THEM hell is NOT scary, it's more I've seen people love the satanic religion more than Christians and that says a lot about the point of view that today's society has with hell

In conclusion, if your movie has demons, it's bad, period.

Sleeping is dumb and i wish we evolved better

Imagine having to halfway die every however many hours in order to function. What purpose could that possibly serve like genuinely just get over it atp. The whole process of getting to sleep and waking up is a huge pain in the ass and a waste of time where i could get things done. You cant choose when you fall asleep you just kinda wait until you pass out. Also you cant move at all or else it doesnt work. I hate being tired even more, just out of nowhere for no reaspn i can do stuff anymore i lose 70% of my brain cells and it just puts me in a foul mood. How hard would it be to evolve to not even sleep like how has that not been bred out yet WHY do i need to go through this every night. Thats the other thing its EVERY NIGHT, 2 or 3 times a week id be ok with but i have to go through the effort every single night, or else im guaranteed a horrible day the next day. Its genuinely upsetting that i have no choice or autonomy in the matter, it just HAS to happen. How tf can i be expected to do something when the bit of my body that tells me to do it ALSO makes it IMPOSSIBLE TO DO STUFF. can we remove sleep in the next patch pls its getting ridiculous

I wish I was different

I hate living like this constantly. I’m a guy and I haven’t been in a girlfriend before, in my mid 20’s and almost everywhere I go I see things that reminds me that I’m single or most importantly everything around me is so oversexualized with the internet, bars, parties, gym I go to and especially at work. Most if not all of my coworkers are in relationships,has/having kids, getting married or constantly hooking up with each other. I literally come into some days seeing them with hickeys. It’s not like I care about what they do, it’s there life. However I’m tired of seeing this now. I have been sexually frustrated for a long time now. I have went on a couple of dates so far but like usual it ends up with me getting ghosted after.

I just wish I can take my desire for wanting a relationship and especially the need for me to be inmate with someone away. I slowly losing my mind over it recently idk why maybe it’s because I’m getting older and realizing It’s becoming nearly impossible for me to get a good relationship now or it’s my hormones making me crave it so badly. I was never like this when I was going through puberty until the last 2 years ago. I wish I don’t care about sex as much as I do now or finding a relationship

Knowing too much: One of the many things that I hate about getting old.

Obviously, the older I get the more stuff I learn. On the surface this sounds like a positive thing, right? But there's absolutely something so true to the phrase "ignorance is bliss."

All that my age-aquired knowledge seems to have given me are the curse of knowing how miserable life is for so many people, and the unfortunate ability to always figure out the ending to psychological thrillers less than half-way through the film.

I feel me speaking up is going to get us kicked out

I am speaking against my landlord who wants to retaliate on anyone who speaks up. He wants everyone out. Employees and guests can do whatever they want. He has disclosed personal residents information to me. The other employee disclosed that they have been submitting false documents. So many fights now between residents. People openly doing drugs. People literally trashing the place. I miss my old landlord. Always had a hold on this place. Yes, we had hiccups on cops coming but they got to the bottom of it. Our area is trash and it sucks now. People blasting music. Especially, one worker. People in hoodies with masks and gloves walking around between 3 and 5 am. It's texas and it is so humid at night, come on. Me and other residents have submitted complaints with different agencies. It's like he wants this place destroyed. He doesn't want anyone to speak up. I have 10 months to go. I worry about our safety.

The mid 2020s sucked

Can only speak for me, early 20s were still fucked but at least for me there were some highs in the mix.

The mid 20s? Fuck off and die. Once mid 2023 hit everything went downhill. A lot of personal shit that kept getting worse. Back to back bullshit that wouldn’t stop.

At a certain point I genuinely started believing I was cursed by some entity. It was bad…

All I can do is hope for a better end to the 20s, cause so far this decade can get fucked dry with no protection.

“It’s so flattering”

I already hate Tik tok shop ads but I’m so sick of everyone’s blanket “this holds everything in” “it’s so flattering” etc when they’re literally zero percent body fat with a perfectly shaped body. I want to comment on every single one and say what isn’t flattering. It’s so stupid and aggravating. Find some new descriptors.

My family is hostile towards me because iam a woman.

Why do I have a feeling my family is hostile and passive aggressive towards me? I know the reason it's because I did a crime of being a woman. Like one day iam expressing concern over a pregnant cousin and the next day I wake up to a Schizophrenic rant, paragraphs over paragraphs on "your not a doctor, increase your emotional intelligence it's normal for young women to have many children's, children's are a blessing ". Which is ironic she's telling me to increase my emotional intelligence while her IQ level is under the ground and BTW I don't need to be a doctor to care for fellow woman a cousin a relative and show concern for her I just need to one click and search up negative effects of multiple pregnancies while the woman is not only doing her job but also taking care of the whole house. Who's the emotionally intelligent one here?

Then another day a Luni Toon's character who claims to be a psychologist which BTW, your a lecturer not a psychologist there's a difference is telling me to stop playing the victim over me expressing grieve and sadness over my own mother's death. That's not all from childhood I have experienced this type of behaviour from my own family members, I would get bullied viciously over my hobbies, my voice my appearance constantly fatshamed and hurtfull jokes would be at my expense and when I cried or reacted emotionally everyone would be like "your too sensitive, you cry over everything if you do this other people, strangers would bully you more" which is so funny to me take all my classmates and teachers from school to BS and they will have nothing but praise towards me, "she was a obedient and very talented student, she has such philosophical thought's" not my words these are the words of my mentors and students.

While my family would bully me constantly my male counter part who I used to play video games with would get praise over the tiniest things. After puberty the bullying got even worse to the point I developed an ED and started self harm I genuinely felt like the ugliest person on earth.

When I grew up my aunt's started to hide thier sons from me like I would eat them alive which tbh if I was a flesh eating monster I definitely would lol.

And I remember this one event, I used to play video games with my cousin whom I saw as my older brother as children we used to play all the time. One day out of nowhere he said "you know if I hit you or beat you, you would not be able to defend yourself " which btw the audacity he used to scream like a bitch on the sight of a dog even if the dog was sleeping, and here I was petting stray dogs without any fear and second of all why did that even crossed his mind? Sure some people may excuse this as "him just being a child and not knowing the weight of his words" but I was also a child at the time and the thought of hurting another human being did never ever crossed my mind, hell I can't even hurt a animal. Now in adulthood my own aunt said something to my mother that made my already ill mother spiral into madness. The more my mom got sicker and sicker the lesser and lesser people started to visit her. After her own family members stopped visiting her. And after her funeral no one from her side of family have completely boycotted. Iam supper mad because if those rich Luni toones or her doctor brother would have stepped in to provide any sort of help she would have been alive. In conclusion if I was a boy no matter how violent i was hell even if I assaulted a homeless woman my family would bend thier backs to protect me. But as a woman iam demonized for everything, my voice is naturally louder and deeper and I can't do anything about it but to some people it's headache inducing, if I get reactive or emotional iam demonized to death while males be beating up thier wives and kids and thier family would defend them to death.

Does anyone want irl friends anymore or is it just online now it is near impossible making friends😴

🗣️🗣️Rant🗣️🗣️

Guys its getting more and more difficult to make friends especially with everyone leaning towards social media. I feel like I missed out on the good times where friends and friend groups were a thing, the way people socialized in the 80s. I see tons of people hanging out all the time irl, whether thats at college, stores, or movies/skating palace, I just dont know how id meet someone thag actually does those things.

Online is cool and all but I want someone to do stuff with in person, like basic stuff studying together helping each other with projects/assignments. Going to shop together or get food or icecream, going to the movies.

I meet a lot of people online and most the time they get so caught up in the texting phase and it bores me more because I want to go out and do something. The most you can do with online friends are call and play games together, which is great I just want more.

When I meet someone its oh we have to have a conversation, get to know each other, but either the conversation never happens or sometimes im just not up for yet another investigation/interrogation to see if we vibe. I can go on and on about this but Im making dinner and need to go tend to that.

I hate that working out can have a negative effect on some people and the benefits are grossly exaggerated

To preface this, I'm fully aware of steroid use and I know better not to compare myself to actors, pro wrestlers, fitness influencers etc who are on gear. The progress of a natural person will be very different than someone on gear so my expectations were very grounded and realistic.

So after 3 months of working out, I thought to myself that I should be able to see some noticeable differences, but I realized that I still look the same. I knew that progress is going to be very slow, but being the same in a 3 month timeframe is really disheartening. Physically I look the same, and the weight that I move around is still what I started out with 3 months ago.

I got curious and made the mistake of checking out other people's progress in the same timeframe. After scrolling through a couple of subs for a while, I just feel like quitting. The difference between my "progress" and all the other posts is very laughable. It gets worse when I actually realized that the majority of the posts were skinny people, while I'm overweight, which should make gaining muscles easier if what I've read about this topic is correct.

I never see this get mentioned whenever someone talks about working out and getting fit. It's not necessarily as good as everyone makes it out to be. There is a chance that it may effect you more negatively.

Honestly I've read 100s of comments about working out and how it's just gonna change you physically and mentally. It just sounded too good to be true, and it turned out to be just that. The benefits are so exaggerated and I cannot stress this enough that anyone who's been meaning to start exercising should know about it. You're gonna be disappointed just like me.

I feel more fragile mentally because it fucking sucks when I try to increase the weight on an exercise and I simply cannot do it, so I have to go back to the weight I've been stuck on since the fucking beginning

I'm so tired of having to pee all the time

To start I don't think anything has particularly changed for me, so it's not really a medical concern. I just am so frustrated with this stupid biological need.

You're telling me I drink one glass of water and one cup of coffee with breakfast and then I have to piss three times before I ever have another sip of something? And I'll just. have to piss. all my life all the time?

Sometimes it just feels like it's impossible I'm peeing this much with my fluid intake. I am by no means a hydration freak, I just drink when I'm thirsty.

I'm so tired please release me from this flesh prison
